Gets Better Every Time: 'Nancy Jo, this is Alexis Neiers calling...' -- VIDEO

As The Bling Ring opens today, it’s important that we don’t forget the film’s roots. In 2010, Vanity Fair‘s Nancy Jo Sales wrote a brilliant exposé on the trial and trivialities of the real-life teen thieves who stole from Hollywood’s rich and famous. Alexis Neiers — the unwitting star of the story, later the intentional star of E!’s train wreck reality show Pretty Wild — was “petrified” by how Sales represented her in the piece and called the journalist to unload.

Of course Sales didn’t answer the phone, which left Neiers to make no less than four attempts to leave the most scathing voicemail indictment she could imagine (or pre-write, as it were). If only this “talented young woman” hadn’t been derailed by technology and constant interruptions by her overindulgent mother.

Courtney Love apologizes to Frances Bean Cobain on Twitter

All’s fair in Love and Twitter? Frances Bean Cobain didn’t think so when her mother Courtney Love sent out a Twitter screed that accused Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl, 43, of trying to seduce 19-year-old Frances Bean. Suffice it to say, the history between Grohl and his former Nirvana bandmate Kurt Cobain’s family is complicated, and Love has become fairly infamous for her sprawling, trouble-making Internet rants. Regardless, Love’s grunge-heiress daughter was quick to dismiss the tweets and suggested Twitter ban Love.

This weekend, Love tried to make amends with a short-and-sweet tweet: “Bean, sorry I believed the gossip.. Mommy loves you.” READ FULL STORY

The Big Bang Theory‘s Melissa Rauch won EW.com’s first annual Celebrity Oscar Pool by picking 20 out of the 24 winners. “I credit my success in this pool to mathematical techniques I learned from the Best Picture-nominated film Moneyball,” Rauch says. “It was an honor just to participate, and I share this big win with my fellow Oscar Poolers… and Brad Pitt.” READ FULL STORY
