NBC's 'Hollywood Game Night' makes you feel like a genius

Why go out and make friends when you can watch Hollywood Game Night? I checked in on host Jane Lynch and her stable of celebs — this week: Anthony Anderson, Rose Byrne and Stacy Keibler (pictured), Jamie-Lynn Sigler, Patricia Heaton, and Tom Arnold — and must admit I had an altogether good time. The people in my TV kept me company! It was not that sad!

The show’s as simple as it sounds: Two teams (three celebs plus one commoner) play various word-association games about Hollywood happenings. If you tend to feel like a brainless turd during Trivial Pursuit Entertainment, you will LOVE this show. I’ve never felt smarter in my life. So I guess the show was a LITTLE sad.

George Clooney sings 'Sweet Caroline' with Neil Diamond -- VIDEO

From Ocean’s Eleven to his throwback leading-man aura, George Clooney has sometimes projected a Sinatra vibe — but he’s no Blue Eyes when it comes to singing. Nevertheless, the actor semi-reluctantly joined Neil Diamond in a rendition of “Sweet Caroline” Saturday night at the 26th annual Carousel of Hope Ball in Los Angeles where the Oscar winner was honored for his humanitarian efforts. He was presented with the Brass Ring award by Shirley MacLaine, who described him as the “most generous, sweetest, charming human being,” and the event raised $2.5 million for the Barbara Davis Center for Childhood Diabetes.

Clooney only belted out a few words (“so good, so good, so good”), proving there are limits to his talents but none to his suavity.
