Google, Hulu, and more test our gullibility with April Fools' pranks

If you see anything weird online today, it may be an April Fools’ prank — or it could just be the internet being characteristically ridiculous. Either way, we’re gathering together the best pranks from companies like Google and Hulu and will continue updating the list throughout the day. See what we’ve found below:

Fox & Friends pranked by aspiring comedian

On Monday, Fox & Friends invited former UT-Austin student Max Rice to talk about why he shifted his political allegiance from Obama to Romney. What they didn’t know at the time was that Rice is an aspiring comedian and agreed to the interview in order to make the network look foolish. Was he successful? That depends on what you deem “funny.”

I won’t recite the entire clip, but I will say that Rice didn’t do much by way of comedy. He made a dumb joke about host Gretchen Carlson’s Miss America title, but most of his routine consisted of shifting nervously in his chair and responding like a 10-year-old. It’s not so much funny as it is uncomfortably priggish. READ FULL STORY

What is your damage, Princess Merida's hair?

Welcome to ‘What Is Your Damage,’ Annie Barrett’s summer shop of all the melodrama and self-absorption she misses from springtime reality TV. Every Tuesday and Friday, she’ll rant about a current offense to her humanity, then assess readers’ damages via video replies. Don’t be shy about admitting what annoys or intrigues you. We’re all in this pop cult together!

What is your damage, Princess Merida’s hair? I am going through some MAJOR HAIR ENVY this week and it’s all 1,500 of your individually animated CGI curls’  fault!

You’ve completely mesmerized me. I see you everywhere now — undulating and breathing fire over my bed, waving your honorary Independent Spirit award in front of my face and whispering with varying degrees of fierceness, “Look at all my different textures.” I want to buy a blanket of you that I could drape over my head while in public and prop up somewhere in my line of vision while resting in private, non-mirrored rooms. Since you came into my life, I’d mist you so bad. READ FULL STORY

The new best marriage proposal ever: Watch!

On May 23, a man named Isaac pulled off an elaborate “lip-dub proposal” set to Bruno Mars’ “Marry You” that involved roughly 60 friends and family members, and, presumably, the closing down of one street. No pressure, Amy! (Spoiler alert: She said “yes.”) Watch it below. READ FULL STORY

'30 Rock': Discuss the series' second live show!

“Live television? Who cares?” Kenneth cares! And so do I. Tina Fey & Co. totally delivered on their second installment of the 30 Rock live show, and it featured special guests galore: Amy Poehler, Jon Hamm, Jimmy Fallon, Donald Glover, Fred Armisen, and even Sir Paul McCartney. You  know, because anything can happen on live TV! But on to the plot: In “Live From Studio 6H” Jack broke the news to Liz that it was no longer financially practical to continue shooting TGS live. Instead, they’d shoot the entire season of the show in two weeks. You  know, like Wheel of Fortune or Fox News.

'RuPaul's Drag Race' contestant Latrice Royale talks elimination, Sharon Needles, and what's next

Latrice Royale was shockingly eliminated from RuPaul’s Drag Race in last week’s new episode, which whittled the field down from four to three. (Sharon Needles, Phi Phi O’Hara, and Chad Michaels are still standing.) At the time of her departure, Ms. Royale was nowhere to be found for a patented EW exit interview, but we caught up with the beloved big queen for a few minutes today. Latrice is a pleasure: She gamely talked to EW about her elimination, that touching speech she made to RuPaul, the contestant she’s rooting for now (thankfully, it’s not Phi Phi!), whether a big girl will ever win the Race, and what her next move is. Read on for all the dish from Latrice Royale.

ENTERTAINMENT WEEKLY: How did it feel when you were eliminated? Sad?
LATRICE ROYALE: I had such an amazing experience, and I had grown and gotten so much more out of the competition than I expected, so it was really a rush of emotions overtaking me. I had come to the realization that I had really, really made a mark and a difference on the show. It was so emotional for me. I didn’t want to leave the girls. RuPaul has really changed my life. I really feel that. I’ll never be the same.

How have you changed?
For me, personally, I had a lot of healing to do and I didn’t realize that coming on the show was going to give me the opportunity to do that, to close some chapters and open up some new ones, you know? It was just amazing. Of course I was with other contestants, but I was there by myself — no distractions — so you kind of have to face your dark days, you know?

With the challenge that eliminated you, did you think the judging was fair? Should someone else have gone home?
I mean, it coulda went either way. For me, we were all trying to create and make things fresh and new. And then some people just grabbed their dirty laundry out of their suitcase and walk it down the runway and win? I’m bitter! I still can’t swallow that pill.

'RuPaul's Drag Race' disqualified contestant speaks out: 'I wasn't caught doing anything'

Well, no one saw this one coming — except for maybe Willam herself.

“Will you please step forward?” RuPaul asked the controversial queen at the very end of last night’s new episode of RuPaul’s Drag Race, sending what should have been the routine elimination of Phi Phi O’Hara or Sharon Needles into a totally different — and weird — direction.

'30 Rock': Hurricane Shamrock

The sixth season of 30 Rock has been all about the holidays. They’ve celebrated Martin Luther King Day, League of Women Voters Day, Leap Day, and last night we were treated to a St. Patrick’s Day celebration. Unsurprisingly, Elizabeth Lemon is not a fan of the Saint Patrick or his holiday. So when Dennis Duffy returned on her least-favorite holiday, Lemon was none too pleased. (Ed. note: How bizarre is it to see Dennis, and then cut to a commercial starring Mayhem, the Allstate guy? Worlds colliding!)

'Cougar Town': Operation Kiss the Girl

Cougar Town is really on a roll this season. And last night’s “A One Story Town” was easily the best episode yet. I guess good things really do come to people who wait nine months for their favorite show to return. But before we get down to business, we have to set up the episode: It was all one giant nod to the 1966 movie, Gambit. The film, starring Michael Caine and Shirley MacLaine, features characters Harry Dean and Nicole Chang executing a brilliantly planned robbery. Only this foolproof scheme of theirs is only in Harry’s head, and actually still in the planning stage. (Ed. note/hidden gem: If you look closely, you could even see Gambit on the theater marquee in the plaza early in the episode.)
