Joe Eszterhas calls Mel Gibson's behavior 'heinous, vile, unforgivable' -- VIDEO

After getting the Anti-Defamation League on his side, Maccabees screenwriter Joe Eszterhas continued his campaign against Mel Gibson this morning on the Today show. Eszterhas related Gibson’s alleged tirades and fantasies to co-host Ann Curry: Gibson allegedly shared a scenario of “sexual butchery” — involving Gibson’s ex Oksana Grigorievawith — with Eszterhas’s son, then 15, and wanted to use The Maccabees to convert Jews to Christianity.

Calling his script “a Jewish Braveheart,” Eszterhas called Gibson “heinous,” “vile,” “violent,” and “threatening,” saying his son was so afraid of Gibson’s behavior that he filmed it on his iPod for proof. He further claimed that he was not responsible for the release of his nine-page screed against Gibson earlier this week and dismissed Gibson’s response. See Eszterhas’s full interview below. Joel McHale addresses Chevy Chase 'Community' conflict on 'Live! With Kelly'

For a master class in how to handle a sensitive issue, I submit to you Joel McHale, host of The Soup and leading lad of NBC’s Community, which as you probably know is in the midst of a major he-said-he-said dramatic debacle between creator Dan Harmon and costar Chevy Chase.

During a stint as Kelly Ripa’s co-host on Live! With Kelly, McHale was asked to address the feud, and he hedged like a pro. (Watch the video here!) “It was over voice mails, so there’s been some awesome recorded messages from Chevy,” said McHale, who has been asked whether the dispute is real. “It’s impossible because there’s no way Chevy could figure out voice mail.” Charming, yes, but he doesn’t answer the question — flawless evasive joking!

Kim Kardashian talks Kanye, Katniss, Kris, and Britney on 'Today' -- VIDEO

Kimye: It might be the most annoying A-list power couple moniker since Bennifer. Despite Kanye West’s over-the-counter ode to Kim Kardashian, the reality star kept mostly mum about her relationship with the bombastic rapper during a visit to the Today show this morning, save to say that they’re longtime friends and “You never know what the future holds or where my life will take me.”

Oh yeah, and The Hunger Games (the movie she saw on a reported date with West) was “really interesting.”

Kardashian also discussed her divorce, her newfound appreciation for Britney Spears, and, of course, that infamous flour bomb. See the full interview below. READ FULL STORY

Sarah Palin's most awkward moment cohosting 'Today' -- Watch

Sarah Palin appeared on Today this morning, first as a guest and then as a cohost of the 8 a.m. hour. The mood was jovial when Palin was shown prepping for the gig, buried in newspapers on the couch and sharing a story about a stranger who, when Palin told her she was headed to 30 Rock, had said she knew Palin was Tina Fey. During Matt Lauer’s interview with Palin about the GOP presidential race — voters in Wisconsin, Maryland, and the District of Columbia head to the polls today — the conversation turned more serious. Her message: “Anybody but Obama will be so much better for our country,” and it doesn’t matter whether a GOP presidential candidate picks a running mate who’s been battle tested on a national level because “they’re gonna get clobbered by the lamestream media who does not like the conservative message.” As Lauer then pointed out, Palin was about to become part of the lamestream media for an hour. Mood lightened!  READ FULL STORY

Lindsay Lohan talks comeback at 25 on 'Today' -- VIDEO

We previewed a clip of Lindsay Lohan’s sitdown with Matt Lauer yesterday, and her Today interview is now available in its entirety. Promoting her appearance as Saturday Night Live this weekend, Lohan hoped to prove to the world that she’s mentally and physically ready to revive the acting career that has long been eclipsed by personal drama, court dates, and substance abuse.

“I wasn’t as comfortable with myself then,” admitted Lohan of her party days. “I had to get [a] wake-up call.” She told Lauer, “I regret the choices that I’ve made, but I’m grateful for where I am today — because of them.” She added, “I want to move forward with my life. … I want to keep growing and I want to keep growing in the right ways.”

But can the actress move forward while constantly looking back, specifically when it comes to SNL this weekend? See what she had to say about her fourth time hosting — plus her community service at an L.A. morgue, her dating life, and her dreams of Oscar — after the jump.

Alec Baldwin turns 'John Carter' into a 'filthy movie' during Taylor Kitsch interview -- VIDEO

God bless Taylor Kitsch’s visit to Live! With Kelly falling on a day when Alec Baldwin was Kelly Ripa’s cohost. Watch the chat below in which Baldwin playfully tries to insinuate that Kitsch and his John Carter costar Lynn Collins spent time together offscreen (until Kitsch mentions that she’s actually married), and, after watching a flirty clip of the two of them together, offered this expert analysis: “Now don’t fool around here, okay…. When the superhot woman says, ‘I can take you to the gates’…. Come on, this is a filthy movie, man! Come on, this is filthy!” Both Ripa and Kitsch reminded Baldwin that it’s a Disney film, but Kitsch was willing to play along: “The DVD extras will have the alternative ending to that,” he joked saucily. “We go to the gates.”  READ FULL STORY

Lindsay Lohan tells Matt Lauer she's 'clean and sober,' ready to prove herself -- VIDEO

Lindsay Lohan sat down with Matt Lauer for an interview that will air Thursday on Today. The show has released a preview clip in which Lohan, who’ll host Saturday Night Live this weekend, insists she’s clean and sober.

Lauer admits to Lohan he thought of her after Whitney Houston’s death earlier this month and asks if that news made her reflect on her past troubles: “Not really. I don’t want to go there. That’s kind of a scary, morbid thing to discuss,” she says. “But, I mean, maybe to some extent when I went to jail and being in that place, that was really terrifying for me.”

Lohan agrees with Lauer that substance abuse can rob people of their talent. “I’ve experienced things like that… and it’s a really sad factor that can come into play in people’s lives sometimes if you don’t recognize it. And a lot of people don’t like to, and I think I did that for a long time. I think I was scared and didn’t want to admit it to myself, let alone anyone else,” she says.  READ FULL STORY

Jennifer Aniston's 'Wanderlust' talk show tour continues

Jennifer Aniston was on Conan last night (again, talking prosthetic penises, though her chat with friend Chelsea Handler was more lively) and her appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show airs today. Watch a preview clip below. Aniston admits she feels guilty for helping to set up boyfriend-costar Justin Theroux so he’d have to breakdance on his first Ellen appearance. (Aniston sent over his special breakdancing shoes.) She also plays a prank on a bike salesman, which is worth watching if only for the moments line-feeding Ellen leaves her hanging and the guy says he wishes he could hit on her.  READ FULL STORY

Donny Deutsch on Star Jones' return to 'The View': 'They ambushed her...It was cruel'

During a visit to The Today Show on Thursday morning, professional rich guy/television personality Donny Deutsch shared his feelings on Star Jones’ return to The View on Wednesday. While Deutsch and Jones were visiting the show to appear on their “Today’s Professionals” segment, he used the first few moments as a platform to talk about the uncomfortable View reunion.

“They ambushed her,” Deutsch said of her first visit to the show since her controversial exit from the talk show nearly six years ago, “It was cruel what [Barbara Walters] and Joy [Behar] did to her.” Deutsch continued, “I felt like I was watching mean girls in a seventh grade cafeteria pick on a vulnerable girl. They went at her… .I don’t know if they’re doing this for ratings…. I think they owe her an apology.”
