'Romney,' 'Obama' tell 'Jim Lehrer' to 'shut the f-k up' -- VIDEO

It’s safe to say that Barack Obama and Mitt Romney don’t see eye to eye often, but there’s one issue that they do agree on: Debate moderator Jim Lehrer should “shut the f–k Up.” Jimmy Fallon and his Late Night writers spoofed the president and former governor yesterday, saying aloud what Obama and Romney most likely were thinking during the presidential debate Wednesday night.

Fallon plays Romney and initially asks Lehrer (his head writer A.D. Miles) to “hush child.” Then things slowly get out of hand: he makes a giant leap from saying “shut your yapper a little bit” to “you’re a useless human being.” Hilarity ensues when Obama piles on. Let’s just say he threatens to put his foot where it doesn’t belong. READ FULL STORY »

Jimmy Fallon and Chris Christie duet on 'Thunder Road' -- VIDEO

Springsteen worship is a given for New Jersey residents; kids there practically memorize Born to Run before they can walk. Fittingly, the state’s governor may be the biggest Bruce fan of all. As Chris Christie told Jimmy Fallon last night, he’s seen Springsteen live 130 times over the past 37 years. And when Christie watches his idol, he doesn’t just listen quietly with his hands folded in his lap — he pumps his fist and screams along with every song, just as the Boss and nature intended. Christie’s love evidently has no political bounds — the Republican must not mind that Springsteen is a vocal Obama supporter.

Fallon, of course, is also a huge Springsteen fan — and he wasn’t about to let the governor get away without engaging in a little karaoke. Thus, this:

Fred Willard explains himself on 'Late Night With Jimmy Fallon': 'I did nothing wrong' -- VIDEO

“Jimmy — what do you want to talk about first?”

That’s the line that 72-year-old comedy giant Fred Willard lead with on his visit to Late Night With Jimmy Fallon Thursday night. And why not — if you can’t beat ‘em, join ‘em!

Willard, who recently lost his PBS gig after getting busted by the LAPD for a lewd public act, continued peppering his first late-night appearance since the arrest with self-deprecating one-liners.

Said the Best in Show actor, “It’s the last time I’m gonna listen to my wife when she says, ‘Why don’t you go out and see a movie?’”

“I see this one [theater],” he continued. “It had such an exotic look to it. I thought maybe there’s hula dancers in there. Maybe there’s Mai Tais!”

Willard went on to describe his time at the adult movie theater as “a trip down Alice in Wonderland and down the rabbit hole,” and joked that he was the “only awake and sober and conscious” person in the theater.

Fallon got in a few friendly jabs in himself, which lead to this amusing back-and-forth between the two:

Jimmy Fallon visits 'Late Night With Zach Galifianakis'

Zach Galifianakis and Jimmy Fallon swapped identities last night on Late Night With Jimmy Fallon, as Galifianakis acted as Late Night host for an interview with Fallon, who posed as Galifianakis. Confused much? Don’t worry, it’ll make more sense once you watch the clip.

The two funny men poked fun at the late-night talk-show tropes that characterize most interviews. The real Fallon commended the house band, the Roots, while the real Galifianakis asked the most cliché interview opener, ”How was your flight?” Fallon also praised the city where he shot his latest movie (Galifianakis’ The Campaign – in theaters Aug. 10), describing the people of New Orleans as friendly and its food as wonderful, prompting audience applause.

Before Fallon showed a clip from the film in which Galifianakis’ and Will Ferrell’s characters try to trash talk, Galifianakis made fun of himself by commenting on Fallon’s weight. ”I’ve noticed that you always gain weight for every role, but then you don’t lose it after,” he said. ”So you just keep getting fatter.”

Lena Dunham reveals 'Freaky' teen crush on Jimmy Fallon -- VIDEO

Girls star Lena Dunham made her Late Night With Jimmy Fallon debut last night and immediately word-vomited about her high school obsession with Fallon. From keeping a signed napkin to savoring a chance encounter at a party, girl had it bad. It was obvious this confession wasn’t Dunham thinking, “Hey, this will be a hilarious story to tell on TV!” so much as a compulsive purging of her deepest truths. (No judgment, girl, we’ve all been there.)

But the best detail of all was the Freaky Friday-inspired play Dunham told Fallon she wrote about the two of them. Get the full story below.

Will Ferrell and Jimmy Fallon fondly remember their 'SNL' low points -- VIDEO

Maybe Jimmy Fallon should make a point of inviting an ex-Saturday Night Live cast member to every episode of Late Night. Whether he’s helping Andy Samberg and Chris Parnell perform a live version of “Lazy Sunday” or riffing about fake movies with Amy Poehler, Fallon thrives when he can bounce off of another Studio 8H veteran — and last night’s chat with Will Ferrell was no exception.

During the interview, Ferrell got big laughs by claiming that he’s serving as musical guest as well as host of SNL this week — and that Usher’s name is actually pronounced “oosher.” (There are, according to Ferrell, two umlauts over the “u.”) Then he pushed the absurdity further, promising to bring back well-loved (and totally made up) recurring sketches like The Lemon Brothers and Garfy McCrungle. But the best part came when he and Fallon reminisced about the times Ferrell’s sketches fell totally flat — and the entire cast gathered behind the cameramen to “watch him eat it.”

Watch Ferrell on Fallon below — and check out Part 2 to see how loudly the audience screams when Ferrell says the word “cowbell.”

Howard Stern's preening 'Today' and 'Late Night' interviews: 'People adore me' -- VIDEO

Howard Stern knows what you think about him becoming a judge on America’s Got Talent — and that’s because he thinks it too. “What a crazy idea to put me on a family show!” he told Matt Lauer jovially on Today this morning. “Somebody at NBC should be fired for that, right?”

But in between reveling in his own controversial nature, ribbing Lauer — at one point he suggested the Today anchor was on crack — and lobbing barbed quips (“I liked when Al Roker was fat better. It’s like, put a pin in him!”), Stern proved that he might just be what reality television needs.

“You know, I watch American Idol sometimes, and those three judges, they don’t have a word of criticism,” Stern told Lauer. “And I think that’s selfish. I think you owe it to the contestants to offer criticism.”

Stern promised to be both compassionate and honest on the talent competition — sort of like a slightly more approachable Simon Cowell. And if his judging persona is anything like his Today interview persona, this season of AGT could very well be must-see TV. Check out Stern’s chat with Lauer below. READ FULL STORY »
