Are the Jonas Brothers over? Their Twitter account is

Gone are the days when a group puts on a press conference or makes a final performance on a TV special to announce a breakup. Now, it’s apparently done on Twitter, as the Jonas Brothers’ account is no more.

Last week, two days before Nick, Joe, and Kevin were set to kick off their tour in Pennsylvania, the Jonas Brothers canceled the whole thing due to a “deep rift within the band, and a big a disagreement over their music direction,” according to their rep Jesse Derris. Now, it seems the rift has expanded — on social media, anyway — as their official Twitter account has disappeared, sparking a frenzy of speculation from fans as to whether the band is calling it quits.

Katy Perry and John Mayer split -- who should he break up with next?

Late yesterday, Us Weekly broke the news that Katy Perry and John Mayer had ended their brief, but no doubt passionate, affair. The pair were first reported to be dating in June, and were spotted “all over each other, making out” at a pool party as recently as Aug. 4. Us insisted the romance was “no summer fling,” and we all dared hope that Perry might tame Mayer’s wild heart (or at least his wild locks). Could this be a romance for the ages? Alas, it was not meant to last. (*Cue Inception horn*)

Of course, Perry is not the only victim of Mayer’s serial dating. The singer has been linked to the likes of Jennifer Love Hewitt, Jessica Simpson, Minka Kelly, Jennifer Aniston, and Taylor Swift. (Fun fact: Wikipedia has a whole section dedicated to Mayer’s torrid affairs.) Since Mayer has dated almost every eligible female in Hollywood, it makes it rather difficult to speculate on who could be next — and that much more fun! Let’s give it the old college try, PopWatchers! READ FULL STORY

Case of the Ex: Lois Lane on Superman and Wonder Woman's hookup

Earlier today, EW revealed that the Man of Steel and a certain Amazon princess are the Justice League’s new power couple. Though Lois Lane isn’t romantically involved with Superman in DC’s “New 52″ continuity, the news has still left Metropolis’s most famous reporter feeling curiously sad. Want proof? After distracting Lane with a fresh pint of ice cream — thanks for the idea, Jon Stewart — we managed to swipe a page from her very secret diary. The following entry has been reprinted without her permission. We think Lois would understand, though; sometimes, a writer’s gotta do what she’s gotta do.

Dear diary,

As a rule, I don’t wallow. After all, I’m Lois Freakin’ Lane — Pulitzer Prize winner, Daily Planet Executive Vice President of New Media, possessor of perfect hair. I can cover superheroes fighting alien monsters in my sleep. I eat annoying interns for dinner. I am, generally, so awesome that I couldn’t find anything to wallow about even if I wanted to. But something happened today that’s given me a serious case of melancholy — even though there’s no reason it should.

While preparing myself for another late night at the office, I looked out my window and saw a strange sight: Superman, Metropolis’s golden boy, engaging in a mid-flight makeout session with some chick in a star-spangled bathing suit.

Elisabeth Moss on ex Fred Armisen: 'The greatest impersonation he does is that of a normal person'

It’s impossible to read Elisabeth Moss‘ revealing interview with The New York Post‘s Page Six magazine without hearing traces of Peggy Olson in there. (It’s also impossible to get over that revealing cover. Yowza. Game, set, point, Stan.) When the Mad Men actress opened up to the magazine about her painful divorce from Saturday Night Live and Portlandia star Fred Armisen, her surprisingly blunt statements about him sounded not unlike a well-executed Peggy remark at one of her male counterparts.

While Moss said her split from Armisen was “so hard to talk about,” the 29-year-old still got out one biting strike about her ex. “One of the greatest things I heard someone say about him is, ‘He’s so great at doing impersonations. But the greatest impersonation he does is that of a normal person,'” Moss said of the SNL star who has mimicked the likes of President Barack Obama, Lawrence Welk, Joy Behar, Prince, and the late Muammar Gaddafi, adding, “To me, that sums it up.” Joan would be proud.
