Or is it the other way around? I'll let you make the call. I'm too busy chuckling at the 30-second ad (top) and wacky four-minute mockumentary (bottom).

Umm...Julie? It's a joke.

I must admit these commercials really stink...the worst I've seen in a very long time, I'm sure there r quite a few couples out there that r offended as well!!! I also think "How dare VW" put themselves on that high of a pedastal to suggest let alone think someone would buy a car bc of children!! Oh yeah, r Brookes kids from her & a husband? did she adopt? have fertility drugs? I wonder does Brooke even own a VW????????? Don't get me wrong Brookes k in my book, it's the commercial for VW's that r offensive!!!!!

This advertisement was incredibly INSENSITIVE towards the infertility patient. I can't believe Ms. Shields did this after she made such a stink about PMS medicine. I am extremely offended.

The ad was funny the first 2 or 3 times it was shown on ESPN2 last night during the Auburn-Miss State football game (War Eagle!). But after the 10th time it was shown I was really sick & tired of Brooke.

I think Brooke does a great job with this ad...she's funny...

"Have a baby for love, not German engineering," is the funniest line of the year; too bad it's wasted in a commercial. Somebody must've caught Brooke Shields' turn as an art gallery owner in MIDNIGHT MEAT TRAIN, and realized that her career deserves a reboot. Her line-reading is so funny, she transcends the kitsch value of seeing a washed-up actor reduced to doing commercials(which is supposed to be funny in itself; like Michael Winslow(from POLICE ACADEMY) in the ad for Geico, and gives a memorable comedy performance in miniature. There's something almost dystopian about this spot, and then you realize that the line about being "seduced by German engineering" could be a left-field reference to J.G. Ballard's novel CRASH.

That was fantasic. A commercial that was actually funny...wow.

Those are great commericals. Move over Calvin Klein!! Brooke is awesome in these ads.

I saw that ad for the first time last night too (during Big Brother maybe?). It's hysterical.

That was hilarious, right down to the credits, which thanked diverse elements such as German engineering, dolphins, and "that craft services chick who made Brooke Shields's lattes."

I saw the first ad on TV last night and definitely laughed out loud. Can't say that for the other 99.9% of commercials... *cough* Apple.
