Meyer_l We are very, very excited over here in Forks at Comic-Con, because we're planning an exclusive interview with Stephenie Meyer that will go live on EW.com Friday! We'll be sitting down with the Twilight series author for a very special one-on-one about her upcoming book Breaking Dawn, the Twilight movie, the Team Edward vs Team Jacob debate AND maybe, just maybe, if you have any really good questions for her... we might ask one or two of 'em. So post your queries, comments, adulation, what-you-will, below, and check back on Friday for what's sure to be a killer interview.

And don't forget to keep coming back to PopWatch over the next four days, as our blog magically transforms into the hub for all things Comic-Con. I know i just wrote... but i was reading some of the other comments and i would just like to say(even though i am not sure if these messages will even reach Stephenie Meyer) that Stephanie, TAKE YOUR TIME! I'm not as an experienced writer as yourself and no where near as accomplished, but i know how hard it is to write and keep going with sequals. Especially since your mood changes the way you write. I love your books,they're pieces of work, i got all my friends and family addicted. You are truly gifted and i dearly hope these messages reach you so you can see just how much your fans (well, those of us who actually pass along posistive messages) adore you and your books. I agree with a previous blogger Sam, that New Moon had me in tears for a few chapters, but it was truly amazing and it's not as if you can make everything in the book happy, you have to have some heart break! Hey, I know that you've had a lot of these comments and have thousands of fans telling you the same thing, but seriously, i think i am in the top 10 of your biggest fans. I am 15, soon to be 16 and I have been writing books since i was 12. your books Stephani, have inspired me into a new version of my own books. Your books are wonderfully written and I wish there were more. I am sorry to hear that the first chapter of Midnight Sun was published without your consent, but for what it's worth, i think it is a brilliant start and very cleverly written. If you have any time and could possibly get back (unlikely, but i can try!) do you think you could offer me any advice on my writing? Maybe a good publisher? :) Thanks, your books are brilliant, good luck on your future books, i'll be keeping an eye out for more!

OMG!!!!!!!!!!! I loved the your books. I finished all 4 books in a week. I litterally CRIED through all of New Moon, my parents thought I lost it lol. Well I wanted to tell you well more like beg u to plz wright more to Twilight... i have never enjoyed a book well books as much as I did yours your a great wrighter and plz wright more... As an "older" fan(29) I want to tell you that the Twilight saga has been the best books that I have found in a very long time. I have been hooked since I began chapter one of Twilight. I was wondering if you would consider writing more from the perspective of the Cullen family and also is you are still not planning on continuing Midnight Sun still. I read the passage from your website and was very intreged to find out more. The story takes on a different perspective coming from Edward and I would love to read more. Thank you for your wonderful books and I can't wait to read more books from you. You are now my favorite author. Congrats on your success.

I just wanted to tell you how much I LOVED your books the twilight series was amazing (the 2nd book was a tad depressing though) I wish you would make another in the series, I just wanted to know why you stopped the series at just 4 books, I would love to read more in the series but I know your not going to make more. I just finished your book the Host! It was amazing I couldn't put it down! You are a fabulous writer!!! When will the sequels be coming out for The Host? Just wondering cause some people told me your weren't making a sequel and then some people told me you where and I just can't imagine how you can't make a sequel for Host which I have now found out you are making which i'm extatic about! Keep up the good work and I can't wait to buy the sequel to The host the souls I think it is? Will it still be mainly based on Jared, Melanie, and Wanda/wanderer?

Wow, there's a lot of comments here....You must be so proud Stephenie.

But, God, do you have a reason. I'm in the middle of Breaking Dawn, and it was SO HARD to put the book down to get on the computer. It's fantastic--Congrats.

I must admit, I don't have questions to add to your upcoming interview--Unless you can find a way to get my freinds to stop giving me spoilers. *sigh* Yeah, my friends have VERY BIG MOUTHS.

Just one last note about Midnight Sun--there are bunch of people complaining about how your not going to finish it. I'll admit, I was exactly THRILLED to hear about it, but I compeltely understand if you don't want to finish it. Just had to tell you there was at least one incredibily obsessed fan who understands. :) (Even though, If you DO finish it, I'll be happy-dancing like crazy.)

Are you planning to expand the series a little further? (not including Midnight sun and the official guide). And if you do I think you should make the book so that the things happen in between breaking dawn, because I think you rushed it a bit.( Not that I blame you if fans were demanding more). Its just that in Breaking dawn your writing seems a bit rushed compared to the other books which are written more slowly and written with more detail.

I wish you had an actual site where we could send you fan letters--but I hope that you get to read this anyways. I just wanted to say that I loved all four of the Twilight books. As of right now, I am trying to convince my fiance to read them as well. I also just finished the Host--fantastic! It was absolutely fantastic! Please keep writing--do not be discouraged by negativity. You are a truly gifted story teller. Take your time and do not rush to put out your novels even though us crazy fans and the publishers are probably pressuring you to churn out some more. Also, it would be great if you could continue twilight by telling the stories of the other Cullen family members. I am so interested in Carlisle's story and how he became such a sympathetic vampire. I would love to read the history of the Cullens--and of course more on Edward! Please feel free to respond if you have time--I know you are busy, and thank you for what you do!

Stephenie, I love your books! They're great! All my friend, Haley, and I do is sit around and look on the internet for things having to do with either your books or the movie coming out. I really wish you would please write ANOTHER book after Breaking Dawn besides Midnight Sun, though I can't wait for it. i have been having withdrawal symptoms for breaking dawn i spend 90% of my time on everything related to it. i love the the story completely but i feel as though this is just the beginning for Bella and i'm practically begging you for one final sequel after edward's version and all the host etc it would be so great you could have bella's and edward's perspective intertwined i don't know if i can get on with my life unless you give me the possibility that you just do a complete final book....

anyway,i was thinking the movie in America is out december 12 so when is it out in the U.K?

i want to ask you more about BD but i don't want to spoil it for others :(

have you considered doing edward's side of the story on new moon eclipse and breaking dawn? because i don't think it would make any sense if you just do one and not all

I love your books, but I have a few questions.
1.If you saw this in a dream then what were you thinking before you went to bed?

2. In Twilight why is edward all in a good mood one minute, then all mysterious and sexy the next minute?

3. In New Moon, how does Victoria know where to walk when it says "she danced along the line"?

4. In Eclipse, why is Edward so understanding, but still fights?

5. In Breaking Dawn, why isnt there any action? I mean in all your books there is something that goes on like James, the volturi, and the new borns, but in the fourth book, nothing happens! Its all sex, the baby, sex, jacob, sex, Rosalie, sex, ...
I mean i thought that your books were read by young kids too! dont u think that there should have been less sexual activity???

my last question is...how do i become such a great author?

Why isn't Edward and Bella not the same anymore they argue and she questions her relationship with him many times and why did he actually think that leaving her is the best for her but really the most hardest thing for her in reality was to learn to live without him that was like a five year old who loses someone like her dad imagine how hard it is to find some that understands, cant be the one to be around because the one you love a nemisis to the other.
Can you make sure that the movie is just as great as the Book. =]

i live in Scotland so its only jst out here and i cant get BD today coz idiot i am wanted to preorder with amazon and it wont be here till the 6th and i cant cancell it now and go out and buy a copy today coz its already paid for. anyway current theory for BD (p.s iv not read it yet so dont spoil my fun and tell me how wrong i am, let me babble) Before she gets turned bella gets pregnant at a clinic or somethin like tht with annonymous guy instead of jacob so that jacob doesnt have a leg up on edward forever coz thats not very nice and that way its bella and edwards baby. plus she can kinda share it around with moany rosalie and alice and esme. then once she's had the baby she can be turned into a vampire by edward. and then jacob can imprint on some girl and everyone gets their happy ending. or my much better option; bellas life can keep getting messed up and Stephenie Meyer can keep writing about it. if Stephanie Meyer is reading this please please option 2!!

i seriously need help im sooo addicted to the series. i have hundreds of different theorys for BD. im just as sad as i am happy about its release coz i cant believe thats the last in the series. i will die or kill everyone else who doesnt want to spend every second talking about edward. seriously im the biggest edward fan ever ive actually made up a pro edward song that i use to drive everyone insane with. i do read quite a bit but its the only book series ive got severe withdrawls symptoms from. unlike everyone else i dont want the film to come out because the actor doesnt do edward justice. i dont mean that as anything offensive to him its just no HUMAN ever ever ever will look as good as my edward does in my head. plus i think other people need to read the books b4 watching the film so tht they can make up their own vison of how gods gift to women and probably gay men too is meant to look. damn iv ran outta letters! :-(

I doubt you'll ever read this, but I finished Breaking Dawn within 3 hours of getting it, seriously, I couldn't put it down!
Your questions:
Stephenie Meyer isn't finished with Midnight Sun yet. She said in an interview that she thinks her fans would rather see Breaking Dawn come out first because we have a basic idea of Midnight Sun's storyline.
In the same interview Stephenie said that for right now there will not be any more Twilight books for right now, but in five years or so she might do another Cullen's story.
There will be sequels to The Host. Remember on the raid with the guys Wanda looked out the window at the souls with their human child and when asked what she was looking at she answered "Hope" Stephenie said that was inserted so that she had the option of sequels.
I was satisfied with the ending of breaking dawn.
What does the apple mean? What does the flower mean? What does the ribbon mean? It has black, whit, and red in it.

Did you ever think when you were writing the Twilight series that it would be this popular?
I mean i'm from England and all my friends are crazy about it over here!!!
When i went to the Cinema to watch Mama Mia all i could think about was Twilight and New Moon and what was gunna happen... I think I was more devasted than Bella when Edward left!!! SERIOUSLY!
I cried all the way through New Moon because I don't like Jacob and When she left him to find Edward i was soooooooo happy i went round my house having this great big grin on my face!!!!

Bella not changing...
Don't believe that... Venom will work... But Nobody will be able to tell...
She'll be a basic human...
With super speed and strength... and life... but other than that, i believe Edward will still have his 'beating heart' in Bella...
And she'll be immune to blood... It wont affect her...

Course, I always thought Bella could be half or part vamp(don't know how that'd happen, but...)

I personally don't care who Bella ends up with... Yes, it would seem that Edward and Bella were destined to be together... and yeah, they kind of are... But imagine if Bella ended up with Jacob or James... or dare i say it, Mike...

Edward is always going to have a problem with Bella being a vamp, or turning her into one... he doesn't want it to happen...

Main reason I don't care, is because we do know that Edward and Bella get married... doesn't matter what we want... we, as fans have our own imagination... but we aren't the author... it's stupid to fight over who should end up with whom...

Jacob will find some other, better girl to imprint on... I bet that if Meyer decides to descend onto Twilight after Breaking Dawn it'll be from Jake's view...

Everyone says we want 'World Peace' but nobody acts like it...
It will never happen, because NOBODY KNOWS HOW TO COOPERATE...

We fight about things in books... idioticracy at its best form...

MANY people are team Edward and don't get me wron I am too. but after New Moon I can't just forget Jacob. It really bothers me tht people say they want Jacob to die. He doesn't need to die he needs to find someone new! Edward is def. the one for Bella but plz remember the New Moon Jacb because he is just as important in Bellas life! imigine if Jacob wouldn't have told Bella what Edward is where would we be today? just keep those things in mind because Jacob deserves a part in this book as much as anyone!

I have been on team Edward from the start so I am very pleased about the wedding. I am hoping that Edward does in fact change Bella. I can see how the dream she had about her grandma would haunt her so i cant imagine that she will take no for an answer.(Carlisle did agree if Edward could not!) I do think this will cause alot of drama with Jacob bcuz i believe he imprinted Bella, and Leah imprinted Jacob so I also think Bella's first vampire fight being with Leah. Leah will be jealous when she sees how hurt Jacob is after the wedding and "change" Also its a good point about venom may not work on Bella but I hope it does because there wont be a happily ever after if not. At least not in my book. P.S. I don't think Bella will be as savage & ravenous as typical newborns seeing how she faints at the 1st sight of blood. So she may just be a vegan right off the bat!

Hi, Stephanie!! I am in love with your books they are really the only books that I have ever obsessed about. Any way my cousin was telling me that she ran into this lady at Borders and they had a looooong conversation about these books. She started to predict what was going to happen. She said that Bella was already part vampire since she has pale skin and has an aversion to blood. Also, she said that Bella will be pregnant and Carsile will find out and cancle turning her into a vampire. How she came up with these asumptions I really have no clue. I have another question. You write about Bella's adversion to blood and that it makes her sick. Are you forshadowing that she won't be able to be a vampire because she wont' be able to substain herself while she is one? Why hasn't that been brought up with Edward and the rest of the Cullen clan? I'm surprised Carlisle hasn't picked up on that.

I just want to say thank you. I just went through a really hard move.... I has not been able to concentrate on any books, until i read twilight! IT was great to escape my world and go into bella and Edwards. I will be pretty much happy with whatever you write although I do prefer Edward to Jacob, my sister loves Jacob! You say you're happy with the ending of Breaking Dawn. You also consider the characters your "children" and get upset when people post mean things about Jacob (I'm a Jacob fan) does that mean everyone has a happy ending. I would hate to think Jacob is alone like in the ending of Eclipse. My heart broke for him and I cried for days. I don't want to cry at the ending of Breaking Dawn.

for the vampires being able to grow out their hair one, thats a no. when u get turned into a vampire, ur size, hair color, hair length, and other things similar to those characteristics stay the same.
the one about more history about Esme and Emmett, I'm gonna recommend that you go to wikipedia.org and type in Esme Cullen or whichever character you want to research. i found a lot about them that i didnt know before, and thats saying something.

totalfan!, edward leaves in new moon because he wants to protect bella from himself. he figured if he took himself out of her life, then he wouldn't be endangering her with the presence of vampires and she would be safe. he left for bella's total benefit, well wat he thought anyway. he also figured that she'd be able to get over him and be able to move on.

Okay i thought I would just answer a question that seems to be repeated over and over again. No a vampire can not get a human pregnant because all that flows through them is venom so the sperm is dead.
2. if a person was pregnant when they changed that's how they will stay

your probably thinking how the heck does she know that. well I read a site where someone had asked a question and Stephenie answered them and one question was can a vampire get a human pregnant and she told us no and then went on to explain that if you were pregnant before the change you would also be pregnant after even if it was just a few weeks.

We are for Team Edward! My question is about who the "mature vampire" was who broke into Bella's house and took her clothes but had enough control not to harm Charlie? OK so i just really need to say that i honestly have not heard of the Twilight saga until i read about it in EW...i know i know...good news being that once i got the books besides breaking dawn(cant wiat till Aug.2) i could not put them down seriouslY! it took me only 2 days to read all 3 ! I love love love the books and i would love to read more about the whole clan after breaking dawn,,,just an idea :) hope the movie is as great as the books cant wait!

Does anyone know where i can get the first chapter AND prolauge online?its driving me nuts! i dont have the special edition of eclipse and im not going to be around ANY decent bookstores for at least a week. the place where i normally get the first chapter closed until BD comes out! my grandparents think im nuts because ive been looking for it for a half hour on thier crappy computer. if you have a clue please tell me im going insane! i have what i like to call a "Twihardian Addiction" or TA if i cant get my hands on some form of Twilight if i want it i'll go crazy please help cure me!

4 me Twilight is not just a book.. Its sorta lyk a true thing. And its sorta scary, but its just that your writing makes me feel that way. i cant describe it. I have straight F's on reading and hate to read. BUt, twilight is diffrent. I even got a B once i started reading it. I just love it.

Well here is my question::

I want to know more about Alice and Jasper, Emmet and Rosalie, and Carslile and Esme. I hope you make a book about thema nd other characters. Like whta happens to them several years after. And then, i wish you would make another about Edward and Bella in the future and like have the quotes...

of course, i am thankful for your books just like everybody who reads them. but mostly i'd just like to tell you how unbelievable it is to me how, just starting with one book, you brought so many people together. not many books can do that, and i think its because of the love of edward and bella. everyone wants that kind of love in their life, and i think that's what draws people to it. i guess it just amazes me. and kudos to you for somehow being able to write so clearly that every reader can literally feel the love and sacrifice and warmth in their own hearts.

My question:
was your writing inspired by something in your own life?

PS- contrary to many people having new moon as their least favortie in the series, so far it has been my favorite. there are many reasons i suppose, but i'd just like to say it was the perfect way to show just how strong bella and edward's love is.

I too, have just discovered the Twilight Series, and have read the first three in just a week's time, and then I went back and read them all again, awaiting the release of Breaking Dawn. Do you plan on having movies made of the other 3 books in the series? Secondly, with Twilight's wild popularity, and your fans' thirst for more, wouldn't you, couldn't you write more? I know, i'm back! lol, just remembered me question. I love your books, and I got my brother to read Twilight (i think that he secretly loves it) and i'm trying to get my buds to read it too. My one friend always laughs about my obsession, and tells me funny stories involving twilight, here's one she told me today: She was at a restaurant and next to her these person is reading Twilight or something, and this complete stranger walks up to the woman and they start talking about it, and later these other people overheard them and are all like "oh yeah, I love Twilight" how cool is that!?! She thinks it's hilarious how addicted i am to it.
Now my question, and sorry if this sounds weird or gross, I'm honestly curious. Do vampires go to the bathroom or take showers? I would think the answer would be yes about the showers, but I'm still not sure. Thanks for reading this! Team Edward all the way! (But jake is still cool too) Twilighters rock!

Thank you so much Stephenie. The twilight series were truly a gift to readers and vamp genre fans in particular. Moonlight was unceramoniously cancelled recently and I was so depressed. Twilight fans had suggested to many of us to read your books. You now have many ML/Twilight fans as well. I'm now reading the novels a second time (in 2 weeks) biding my time until the release of the final chapter. You've rekindled my thirst for books and I look forward to the movie too. Great pick for the heroine in the movie. I look forward to seeing her male co-star perform as well. PS. I'm really glad Bella picked Edward. My guess is that Jake was infatuated but had not imprinted on Bella and will find his own soul-mate. At least it would give a happy ending to all. (As long as she's not 2 yrs old.) LOL. Once again, loved these characters and look forward to Edward's thoughts in your alternate beginning. (Sounds incredible so far!)

I want to start this comment off by saying what an amazing writer you are. When I first picked up Twilight I had a very difficult time getting into the story, but once I was able to, I could not put the books down. With that being said, I can honestly tell you that I have infact read your books, The Host and Prom Nights From Hell, which you co-wrote included, more than once. I read a comment on here where a girl said she has read Twilight 15 times, I myself have read Twilight 159 times, New Moon 133 times, Eclipse 146 times, The Host 27 times and Prom Nights From Hell 15 times. You where the reason I became the girl who "reads more than she breaths". You are by far my most favorite writer of all times. Becuase of you, I want to major in English Literature and write my own books. Thank you so very much for basically giving me a direction to go in life. You deserve all the credit you recieve for your work.

When i watched all of the previews, interviews, ect... for the twilight movie I noticed that some caracters were in the previews that aren't in the first book. Does that mean that the twilight movie is a mixture of all three books? Or could that mean just extra scenes/parts in the movie?

Twilight has become my life. When I read the books it's like I feel what bella feels. Almost as if I become her. And because of that I think I am team Switzerland. In the end I just want to be happy (or bella to be happy). But because Edward is basicly a sex god, I am a little biased to him. :)

And my question: will Bella end up telling her parents that Edward and the rest of his family are vampires?

Hey Stephenie! Thank you so much for not wanting to forget that dream and taking the time to write it down. It was not only blessing for you, but a blessing for all us hopeless romantics!

I have two questions;

1. Why didn't Edward's eyes turn red at the end of Twilight when he had to drink Bella's blood?

2.It's theorized that the Cullen's close bond is based on love because they don't drink human blood and that perhaps helps them to retain more of their humanity. So in Eclipse was it the intensity of the relationship between Bella and Edward that had Marcus surprised, or between Edward and Alice?

If you can only answer one, I'd say I'm more curious about the answer to the second question.

Since you are planning on writing Midnight Sun a.k.a Twilight from Edwards perspective I was just wondering if you planning to do that with all of the other books too.
Also why does Charlie still have a thing against Edward even though Bella has completely forgiven Edward, why can't Charlie seem to do the same, because I think it would really make Bella happy if her dad would ease up on Edward.

Ok so this is a question about the movies.
Since you are making Twilight into a movie are you planning on making New Moon, Eclipse, and Breaking Dawn into movies also?
Also if you do make sure that they don't change Bella,Edwards,the Cullens,or any of the other main characters charaters. PLEASE!!!
because it just ruins movies if the characters in the second movie are different than the orginals in the first.

I have a few questions for you
I have been in a few forums that talk about the Breaking Dawn and the other books.
Some people think that Bella and Edward's love is so strong that when Edward bites Bella to make her a vampire it turns him human instead, ist that true? is that even possible?
Also what is Rosalie's special power I mean like all of the other Cullens seem to have cool powers but it never metions Rosalie having any though.
Also about that note that Bella gave Alice in Twilight to give to her "mom" that was pretty much a note for Edward. What ever happened to it did he get it and that's how he knew she was in trouble or did Alice just see her in trouble or something?
Oh this is a major one that comes up in descusions between my mom and me.
How did Billy end up in the wheel chair for some reason I can't remember if it actually tells you in Twilight or not.

Before I ask my questions, I would first like to answer one of YOUR questions:). You've always said that you didn't know why people love your books, but here's my reason: (for me, atleast) you've created a world that's not only POSSIBLE - it's PROBABLE. And I think that there's a big difference between those two words. You've created a world that most likely ACTUALLY EXISTS. A world that people can not only relate to, but also a world that fits almost in unison with the world we live in. You're an amazing writer!!!

Here are my questions:
1) What is both Edward & Jacob jeaous of in Eclipse when they're talking in the tent?
2) Do vampires go to the bathroom?

One last thing: I know you said that you don't have control over book covers, but I think it would be cool to have a blue & white theme for Midnight Sun instead of red:)

'ello matey, i have a question... everyone keeps asking about jacob but in the end of eclipse it says he runs away and doesnt look back after he gets the wedding invitation ...so how is he going to be in the next book?... also i really wanted to know how charlie reacted to Edwards proposal..he must have been really mad! i dont think anyone knows you wrote some of "Prom nights from Hell" well your part was great...i luv your books and everyone makes fun of me because i have read them all 6 times or so but they are worth it... bon voyage

Stephenie, thanks so much for the books you have given us, including The Host. You truly are an amazing writer and an inspiration to many girls and guys out there, including myself. Two years ago, my mom picked me up a few books from the bookstore, Twilight being one of them, and I thought that it was going to be my least favorite....boy, was I wrong. Since then, I have basically started the "Twilight Revolution" at my small town high school, spreading the word on how great of an author you are! You are my hero....your books also encourage the people who read them to keep reading, even if it isn't Twilight. Once again, thanks and congratulations on the success of your writing career.

These books are very well-written, but they are not Harry Potter. In HP, characters have to battle actual evil, and there are morals aside from abstinence. What evil does Bella fight? All she does is choose a boyfriend. It's great that women authors are writing bestselling books like this, but anyone who says they are empowering to girls should get real.

first i have something to say to all of you people posting mean things like "get a life," my question to you is, if you have time to post stupid and mean comments like that, where's your's? We're posting on here to show our support for Stephenie Meyer and her books, so this is going to sound like a pre-school teacher is scolding you, but seriously, if you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything!ok, now that i got that out of my system, it's time be nice! :) I was wondering if a vampire injected its venom into an animal, would that animal then turn into a vampire animal thing? Does that question even make sense?
GO TEAM EDWARD! Jacob is cool too, but I don't think that he's right for Bella. Plus Edward is practically flawless and completely selfless. I love Stephenie's books!!!

hi stephanie. i absolutely look your series of books, i think theyre wildly imaginative and really really interesting.
i wanted to thank you for writing them because they gave me something to look forward to when i was going through some really hard things in my life.
i also wanted to ask you how it is that you came up with the whole plot and the characters and what the process was for you writing the book?
i want to write as well and ill have a general outline but then ill get really serious writers block.

Stephenie you are the most amazing writer EVER! You have created the best fantasy world anyone can enter. I have read and re-read all of the books (except Breaking Dawn of course) and I will probably go and read them again. The Twilight Series is THE most amazing set of books I have EVER read in my entire life. Thank You.

So some very important questions:

1. Can a werewolf imprint on a vampire?
2. I was also wondering about Team Switzerland.. In eclipse you write that Edward's Bella and Jacob's Bella cant exist together so does that mean that Team Switzerland can't exist?

And I want to apologize for all the people making stupid and vulgar comments. I feel ashamed for them.
