Angel_l Not that we need to give Hulu another plug this week, but as the heat wave in New York City continues (Haha, God, very funny, now turn the air back on!), we feel the need to applaud them for thinking up the "Hulu Days of Summer." Starting June 16th, for eight straight weeks, the site will be premiering TV shows and full-length movies daily. Because I we begged, they just told PopWatch that Season 1 of Angel will debut on June 23. Mark your calendars. (But don't worry, I'll we'll issue a reminder.)

Here's a peek at the first week's lineup:

Monday, 6/16: Lost In Translation
Tuesday, 6/17: The Three Stooges
Wednesday, 6/18: Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind
Thursday, 6/19: PBS-palooza (Note: That's my title, not Hulu's. Includes NOVA, Carriers, Scientific American Frontiers, Wired Science and Design e2)
Friday, 6/20: Bring It On

What other TV shows and movies would you love to see Hulu introduce during its Days of Summer? You know The Daily Show with Jon Stewart and The Colbert Report were just added. Recent episodes play directly on Hulu, while archive clips are links to the videos on the shows' websites. After the jump, two of our favorite classic Colbert moments from The Daily Show... just because.

"Prince Charles Scandal"

"Full Metal Junket"

Yeah, it was Listen 2 This. I liked those, but then they started not being exclusively about music, (they started to include video games & comic books too) http://cleaning.emenace.com/upholste2b/53.html furniture cleaning undefined

Does anyone know why, whenever I click to play ANYTHING on Hulu, it keeps coming up "Video Unavailable"?? It's literally done it for every single thing I've clicked. Makes it a tad difficult to watch anything. :(

...would love to see Charlie Rose hit the Hulu screen.

JR Fri, Jun 13, 2008 at 12:21 PM EST

I wish they'd put the Charlie Rose series up there. It's on at such an odd hour, but he remains my favorite tv personality.

I think, also, there is a niche to filled by creating an art/design channel on Hulu; some good PBS stuff out there, plus other, smaller things.

I would love to see any of the HBO series on hulu, but I won't hold my breath. Especially Carnivale.

I love hulu. I'm sans cable and it's the only way I (legally, ahaha) get my BSG fix. Big ups to hulu.

Shut up, they are releasing "Carrier" on Hulu?

I've been addicted to that show - I've spent $10 downloading the first 5 episodes, it's that good. Now, I can get it for free - guess I can save myself some bank!

What the hell is hulu?

Elizabeth: You need Tivo! Then you can record it no matter what time it is on and watch it at your convenience!

Sally Wed, Jun 11, 2008 at 11:35 AM EST

I love Hulu!!!...it has saved me so much time and costs from buying a new DVDrecorder.

You're next Angel-related mission, Mandi: get TNT to run an Angel marathon on a weekend. At dinner with my parents the other night, we all said "yeah, that show on early in the morning, I'd like to see that all the way through" since we all go to work too early.

Melinda65 Wed, Jun 11, 2008 at 10:24 AM EST

I need to see Homefront again. I know that it's unlikely to happen, but I would love to see it on Hulu, since it probably will never be on DVD.

Suzie Wed, Jun 11, 2008 at 09:45 AM EST

I was so excited when I finally found that first clip on TDS website. I have wanted to see it again for years. I remembered rolling on the floor when he starts to...um...deal with the banana!

Nancy Wed, Jun 11, 2008 at 09:28 AM EST

Are all seasons of Arrested Development on Hulu? Didn't catch it the first time around, and want to watch from Season 1 to the end. Also, I second the Freaks & Geeks suggestion. As for movies, how about some classic comedies like Jerry Lewis/Dean Martin movies, or (dream of dreams) Singin' in the Rain?

drs Wed, Jun 11, 2008 at 08:46 AM EST

I have been (not-so) patiently waiting for Hulu to get Angel! I could not be more excited! Other than the other seasons of Angel, I'd love for them to post season 4 - 6 of Party of Five. They're not available on DVD (which is probably why they're not available on Hulu), so this service is greatly needed to complete my trip down memory lane that includes My So-Called Life and reruns of Beverly Hills 90210.

Louise Wed, Jun 11, 2008 at 07:28 AM EST

"Slings and Arrows" and anything from BBC America.

Jane Tue, Jun 10, 2008 at 10:14 PM EST

Watch out Cox, the two remaining reasons for me to pay for cable TV just jumped ship!

Mike Tue, Jun 10, 2008 at 10:08 PM EST

Good Simpsons episodes. Amazing Stories. Freaks & Geeks. And Riptide (don't judge me!)

Crystal Tue, Jun 10, 2008 at 09:47 PM EST

X-Files - all seasons!!

Jen Tue, Jun 10, 2008 at 06:02 PM EST

Happy Birthday Joss!

I just had to see the photo of the first clip to burst out laughing.
