Bianca Montgomery and Maggie Stone (AKA BAM) from ABC's All My Children.

Being BFFs on and off screen, the chemistry between the two is palpable. Considering what they had to work with as far as the quality of writing and convoluted storylines (read: the drama that is daytime), these girls made an incredible relationship tangible for thousands of viewers.

There are no other characters currently on tv (or even in tv history) that have radiated this degree of absolute lust for each other, in addition to equally undeniable chemistry outside of the bedroom. Both of these characters have grown independently of each other, which allowed them to become even more deeply connected. Jennifer and Laurel are fabulous actresses to begin with, but putting them in a scene together was possible the best decision ever made in the history of tv casting.

There are a lot of characters with good chemistry out there but *great*? For me I'm another voice in support of Spencer and Ashley from 'South of Nowhere'. Their electricity on screen is amazing. Some couples might sacrifice plausibility from the restrictions on physically stuff they have because of network/time-slot limitations but these two spark with the smallest glance. There's no competition.
