'The Bachelor: Rome': Lorenzo & Jen speak!

Nov 28, 2006, 05:45 PM | by Michael Slezak

Categories: 'The Bachelor', Reality TV, Television

154116__bachelor_l Yep, they're still together. Well, at least that was the not terribly effusive word from Lorenzo Borghese and Jennifer Wilson during a teleconference this afternoon discussing their experiences on the just-concluded season of The Bachelor: Rome, and what's become of them since filming wrapped on September 22.

"We're still very happy and we're definitely together," said Jen, "but we're just kind of trying to figure things out, and really grow into a relationship now." Of course, they'll have to nurture that growth from afar; eighth-grade teacher Jen said she'll stay in the Miami area at least long enough to finish out the school year, while Lorenzo has no plans to move from his New York City base. Yet if Jen has any fears that Lorenzo's female fans will pursue him during the couple's long-distance courtship, she's keeping them to herself. "I have total confidence in him that everything will be fine," she said. "And if not, I'm sure it'll get written about so I'll find out that way." Alrighty, then!

Anyhow, since I was perplexed by last night's climactic scene, in which Lorenzo showed Jen a diamond engagement ring, explained he wasn't ready to give it to her yet, then proceeded to place it on her finger, I had to ask if he was pushed by ABC's producers to provide them with the kind of fairytale footage that hints at a walk down the aisle. Lorenzo's answer? Well, kinda cryptic. "I didn't have a necklace on me, or a string, but I mean, it is a ring, so you should put it on a finger. And so I put it on Jen's finger," he explained. "And obviously before I did, I wanted her to understand why I was putting it on her finger, and what it meant, but she's got it on her finger right now, and I think that's what you do with a ring." (For the record, Jen added, it's on her left hand.)

Still, even if Lorenzo and Jen beat the Bachelor odds and become husband and wife -- "If that's what happens, I will definitely then be Princess Jennifer," the bachelorette in question said -- don't expect a redo of Trista and Ryan's televised nuptials. "Are we looking for a reality TV wedding at this point? Probably not," said Jen. Not that she and Lorenzo would rule out other on-camera adventures. "If it's a fun opportunity and it makes sense, I don't see why either of us would turn it down," said Lorenzo. Now who says there's no happy endings?

He's such a jerk for picking a dimwit.

GEETHA Tue, Oct 21, 2008 at 03:12 AM EST

I was very dissapointed to see lorenzo choosing jen for I sincerely felt if he was looking for a long lasting relationship then definetely sadie should be his choice, throughout the episodes she was very natural, loving and ofcourse her family was also genuine, and had family values.

but lorenzo though he felt embarrased each time he was meeting jen's dad how can he choose her ? anyway sadie you saved urself from lorenzo too and I wish you to find your true love.

...he chOOse the riGht giRL...

aerithz Wed, Oct 15, 2008 at 03:35 AM EST

i think jen deserves the ring from lorenzo. i think she wasnt faking all the thing she said...and for me she is smart, classy and just being herself. Unlike Sadie, that since the day 1 of the show, nothing came out of her mouth but her virginity thing. we cant pass on to judgement based only in your past experiences, whether you're virgin or not. it has nothing to do with the future relationship...

NaOmi Wed, Oct 15, 2008 at 03:23 AM EST

I hate Lorenzo for choosing Jen. Sadie is a real princess who has the real kind heart and love for him..SAdie Dont worry U deserve a better man than LOrenzo who is blind in looking for a qualities of a real woman to be LOVED!!

NaOmi Wed, Oct 15, 2008 at 03:18 AM EST

I dont like this episode of bachelor rome.. We love sadie as the fact that she is very kind hearted, and innocent and wants a man who will love him forever and the fact that she is saving her self to one man that will be with him forever. In our times today its very hard and very rare to find a beautiful and kind sweet innocent girl that is saving her self to that one man..So as me and my friends watching these episode were looking for Lorenzo to choose SAdie..And im sure they are the perfect couple to be coz Lorenzo is also a kind loving man...All i can say is that SAdie is best for Lorenzo!! A pergferct MATCH!!

henrix Tue, Oct 14, 2008 at 12:17 PM EST

i think lorenzo should have picked sadie... instead of jen. but i guess thats what he wants. he is old enough to decide for himself and he definitely made a mistake on not choosing sadie.

jen is ok but sadie is more of a strong woman, she manage to keep herself pure until marriage, and she manage to be calm and compose eventhough we can hear her heart is getting broken into pieces.

i love sadies family they're not pushy and obnoxious compared to jens dad. they were just very humble and you can feel the love that they have within their family.

hope to see sadie happy someday, she deserves more than lorenzo...

sheila Tue, Oct 14, 2008 at 10:25 AM EST

i agree w/ the other people i wished that sadie will be the next bachelorette & at that time sadie would find a better prince.. & hot guys & the real guys who deserves her MORE than lorenzo.. is it true that lorenzo is not really a prince too bad for jen if its true coz she'll not be a princess anymore & i love sadie's family than jen's i wish sadie would have her own show..

sheila Tue, Oct 14, 2008 at 10:11 AM EST

i think sadie murray deserves that ring from lorenzo.. they we're so cute together & they seem that they have something in common.. i dont like jenny for lorenzo because they don't have that kinda spark when they we're together.. & i think lorenzo will call up sadie again & asked sadie to date w/him & start over again.. but,if lorenzo really likes jen i think sadie deserves a better man way much better than lorenzo.. too bad! i think lorenzo will regret he's choice no offense thats wat i cn see from watching the season finale.. tnx

jes Fri, Oct 10, 2008 at 07:20 PM EST

Well, I think Lorenzo knows what he is doing. He's not a child, he's 33. By chosing Jen, it means that that there are more likeable qualities that he saw in her. Maybe he saw that Jen is more attractive than Sadie.Or her being a schoolteacher attracted him immensely. Regardless of the reasons he chose Jen, he made his decision. And that's it!

margaux16 Wed, Oct 8, 2008 at 07:42 AM EST

I think Sadie is the right girl for lorenzo. I actually thought that Lorenzo would pick Sadie but unfortunately, he didn't. I'ma bit dissapointed for it. But I'll just accept the fact the Jenn is the Prince's choice so..you knw.., I am a bit terrified if im gonna watch the bachelor tonight. Go Sadie, you're still Lorenzo's princess for me!

what the Sun, Aug 17, 2008 at 05:17 PM EST

I can't believe everyone is saying Sadie was the better woman. She was a manipulative little cow. If she ever so demurely mentioned one more time to one more person that she was "saving herself for marriage". I was going to scream. So wrong!!! That is personal information not to be handed out to all and sundry. And she had a fat head. So all round Lorenzo did good.

beyata bwalya Tue, Feb 26, 2008 at 07:06 AM EST

Sadie was meant for the prince. She was so cute and reserved. I will not watch the show after knowing that he picked Jeanifer. I am hate!

i cant beleive this show finished since 2006, we areonly watching it in emnet series now, and still have not watched the final. I just logged the web to know what happened in the final coz i was anxious, it was then i realized that lorenzo did not choose sadie, idont even feel like continuing anymore, but i'll watch for fun.Sadie was the best for Lorenzo, i am dissappointed in him, i'm sure he knows that sadie loves him more than jen. He is not ready to be committed that was why he chose her. Will you please give me the latest on the latest between these two and also about sadie? Hope she finds a better man L dont deserves her i think.

Lorenzo is so god damn hot!!!! hello, could that man just have all the qualities of the perfect man! I would be crying my eyes out to if he didn't give me rose! There were alot of lovely girls on the programme but come on, you cannot hoenslty fall in love with someone in such an unrealistic situation. Good luck anyhows and if doesn't work out with Jen ,,, ill marry you!:) im only three years younger then her!lol.xoxo.

Seeing the Borghese name on the vatican or wherever will only remind me of reality tv from now on. that's rather tragic...

vanessa Tue, May 22, 2007 at 05:49 AM EST

The people saying that Sadie was manipulative, etc must be friends of Jen's. Sadie was gorgeous and I think she deserves someone much spunkier than Lorenzo. He is way to placid.

Calamity Clam Tue, Mar 20, 2007 at 02:13 PM EST

Can someone please just gas all of these idiots? These wannabe actors that show up on reality television shows just to get their faces out there are just simply pathetic.

In fact, we should gas all of you that support them.

Sue Tue, Mar 20, 2007 at 02:10 PM EST

Lorenzo is a total LOSER. I am so happy that he did not pick Sadie. She can do way better than him!

Why did he pick goofy Jen? Because she performed well in the private room? Obviously, he somehow valued what she did there, or he would not have kept her until the end. Sadie is much more pretty and intelligent, after all.

But he kept Sadie till the last episode because he knew that: the public wanted to see whether truly nice girls finish last (or first); and keeping her on the show for as long as possible would, thus, boost ratings, making the Borghese name more and more heard and recognizable as the how ran. Translation: increased sales ($$$$$) for his family's company!

I am never buying anything Borghese again!

Anne Sat, Feb 3, 2007 at 04:40 PM EST

I might add that I understand Erica's mother stated in a interview that Erica was told by the producers to say "some things."
If that doesn't explain Erica's behavior, then her behaviour definitely shows that having wealth (due to her father being a plastic surgeon, some says he does all the boob jobs for the "performers" around Houston) does not mean you have class or good breeding.

Anne Sat, Feb 3, 2007 at 04:33 PM EST

Wikipedia has a good definition of a prince - a reigning monarch, head of a noble family or members of a royal or highly noble family sharing their title other family members. The Borghese are not royalty but nobility.
Lorenzo Borghese has explained that more than once. He has royal ancestors but if that makes you royalty then a good part of the Anglo Saxon people of the American South are royalty. Ask any professional genealogists.
He was smart in wanting to get out of the Garden of Eden to test their relationship. These were very young women with stars in their eyes in a romantic location with a very nice, charming and nice looking young man.
They were all devastated when they didn't get a rose but they all recovered.
Viewers only saw small snapshots of his relationship with these women. Lorenzo as well as the "bachelorettes"
were not professional actors and I am sure not really comfortable with cameras on them.

Mel Wed, Jan 10, 2007 at 08:56 PM EST

I thought all along that Sadie was the one for Lorenzo, Sadie was real by all means, I waited in anticipation as the limo drove off with Sadie that Lorenzo would have a change of heart at that last moment and stop the limo. But then again mabey Lorenzo was afraid to not pick Jen, Come on her dad threatened him with a shotgun, That would be a red flag for any guy in his right mind.
Lorenzo is a georgous man and you can rest assured that he has many female fans. I think Lorenzo needs to hire himself some body guards to protect him from Jens Dad and go sweep Sadie off her feet. NOW THAT WOULD BE A FAIRYTALE ENDING!!!!!

Briana Isabella Sat, Dec 23, 2006 at 07:21 PM EST

It is disturbingly confounded that monosyllabic Jen Wilson is a schoolteacher; Now I know why Floridian teachers are so underpaid: they are not qualified to teach.

As lovely as Jen is, I do not think she can keep such an intelligent and sophisticated man like Prince Lorenzo's attention very long.

He's probably bored of her already!

Lorenzo Tue, Dec 12, 2006 at 04:41 PM EST

Hey guys! It's me, the prince Lorenzo!! :-) This whole show was a joke. I was just going through the motions and I did not really like any of the ladies. I had to just follow through. What else was I supposed to do? They really had me on the spot. I did have some feelings for Jenn though, and if she will have me, I am game.

Janice Tue, Dec 12, 2006 at 01:23 PM EST

RE: Looking forward to the next Bachelorette.
I am envisioning Erica giving the producers a hard time about which guys should be selected.
Also, will she wear her many tiarras, or not.
Does she want to play up the Princess image? Will she fall in love with another guy, ala Lorenzo, who then shirks her?
The drums roll.... the curtain goes up!

Joe Tue, Dec 12, 2006 at 10:23 AM EST

Socrates and others.....it is so hard to keep up with all the rumors and myths flying around, that I just want to bring everything back down to what we know to be true. Let's face it, I think everyone is on the same page when we say that Jen and Lorenzo are not together. We also know that each of them are currently dating other people. It is also safe to say that they are each doing there best to stay out of the publick eye. And finally, there was that one last gasp by Lorenzo on his flight to Miami to try and win Jenn's affections. I know it is probably hard for Lorenzo to accept, but I think he needs to leave Jenn alone and just accept that she is not interested. If we can all come to terms with these truths, then maybe we can begin to all look forward to the next Bachelor show.

ms Tue, Dec 12, 2006 at 02:38 AM EST

"...nice to know he reads like he really is."
I think you are giving Lorenzo and his "in the know" buddy way too much credit! Both appear to be tools (read his other posts). That Lorenzo, if in fact he is not still with Jen, does not have the integrity to publicly acknowledge his change of heart erases any collateral good will built up during the show! In essence, he's sanctifying gossip mongering and is showing no respect for his current/past relationship, love, or Jen! [On the other hand, perhaps Jen did the dumping (if in fact there is breakup) and then I'd be willing to rethink what I just wrote.] Time will tell…

SuZQ Tue, Dec 12, 2006 at 02:05 AM EST

Well, seems as tho it's just the same old story. but the story isn't a bad story or a good story, just a love story, imbued w/ a little tv magic. i sensed lorenzo mostly had good intentions, maybe w/ a little bit of vanity mixed in, but i think that's why this was most popular Bachelor, because he came across as having integrity. he didn't word it well, the goodbye to Sadie, or even what he said to Jen. but, isn't that life too? how many guys do you know who speak poetry? so, he had to make a choice probably because it was in his contract. seems like they tried and it just didn't work out. doesn't seem like anyone is sleazy or cruel. just seems like- life, love. how you just never know - 'til you try. and then one day- there it is. don't even know why i'm writing this except - seems like there's too much cynicism in the world. and i know i've taken this way too seriously- and yet that too is why i think we're still talking about it- because it is real, love and life are not hollywood, and ya just gotta keep kissing frogs til you find your own personal prince/ princess! And thanks for sharing Anon, nice to know he reads like he really is.

Socrates Tue, Dec 12, 2006 at 12:49 AM EST

Now let’s see ….

Collectively, posters claim that Lorenzo is broken-hearted and flew down to Florida to “woo” Jen back, that he couldn’t make a decision (and perhaps never will), later discovered that Jen’s not the love of his “reality” life (let me see, is that reality TV or “royal” reality?), that they’re getting married, that he doesn’t want Jen, that Jen doesn’t want him, that Jen is frolicking with a new hottie (who can kiss, apparently Lorenzo couldn’t!), that Lorenzo has a new girlfriend but courting others, that Jen is sweet and gorgeous but doesn’t have the “it” factor, can’t speak, walks funny, is in love, isn’t in love, that Lorenzo had the best of intentions, that he’s a tool, got a boost, lies, is a dork, can’t speak Italian but should….Not a prince but a toad! I BELIEVE IT ALL! (But only because ANON an average guy, “in the loop” who knows Lorenzo “personally” tells me it is, no wait isn’t so. After all, “they” expected a “hugh media frenzy” so I shouldn’t be surprised by diverse comments.)

Maybe, we should all just ask Mama Borghese to read our palms. The truth lies somewhere between loving with our heads and loving with our hearts! Or maybe it’s just in our hands? No, actually her hands since apparently neither Lorenzo nor America can make up their minds. Please, Mama Borghese… (extends hand palm up)…Please shed some truth on everyone’s assumptions!

Gotta love America folks!

ANON Mon, Dec 11, 2006 at 11:23 PM EST

"royal" in quotes because it's not what he is about as a person. I've known him for a long time, and he does not look for someone based on how wealthy or poor they are. I was explaining that was NOT the reason he realized Jen was not the one.

kt Mon, Dec 11, 2006 at 11:10 PM EST

"On his ROYAL level" -- ANON,now we know you don't know Lorenzo. LOL!

Kim Mon, Dec 11, 2006 at 09:39 PM EST

Anon -
If you know Lorenzo, do you know if he tried to get in contact with Sadie afterwards? Does he have any regrets for picking her?

Donna Mon, Dec 11, 2006 at 09:37 PM EST

Anon ~ what did Lorenzo think of Agnes, really? On the show he seemed to be really into her, and we were shocked when he sent her home.

ANON Mon, Dec 11, 2006 at 07:13 PM EST

I'm just an average guy "in the loop" and my intention is to shed some truth to everyone's assumptions, and not backstab Lorenzo. That's why I'm not divulge any details. Lorenzo is seeing someone else currently and has courted several girls after the show NOT because of Jen not being into him. He did it because he realized after the show that the two of them did not have what he was looking for in "everlasting love". His goal after the show was to take their "relationship" and his supposed feelings for her back to familiar territory, out of fantasy land. He simply realized that Jen was not the one for him in the long run. Was he repulsed by her? Of course not? He has said many times that Jen is a sweet girl, but that their lifestyles (including family) were totally incompatible for everlasting love. Not to say that he was looking for someone on his "royal" level, but she just didn't turn out to be what he was looking and hoping for. He did not regret the experience for a second, but just wanted to be truthful to himself. Whether he is truthful to Jen is his choice.

Dennis Mon, Dec 11, 2006 at 12:57 PM EST

My, but how the times have changed. Some people here have put down Sadie for being a virgin, but my feeling when watching this show is: why aren't all the other girls embarrassed that now everyone knows that they aren't virgins? I mean, sex is serious business, especially from the girl's viewpoint, who could get stuck with a pregnancy. Back in the fifties girls were very strong about not letting that happen to them. And the American culture supported them in that. And all the rampant sexual diseases in this country today is a statement as to where nature stands on this issue. And notice how none of the non-virgins still aren't married, even though they've had sex. I was hoping Lorenzo would have picked Sadie, not only because she's a virgin, but also because she is very sweet, which is wonderful to be around. I just wish the show would have gotten more into the intellectual and spiritual depth of the girls though, because in the final analysis, a good marriage is based on the depth of WHO you live with, not just their personality and what they look like.

Joe Mon, Dec 11, 2006 at 11:06 AM EST

Well, the latest seems to be that Lorenzo is heartbroken, and that Jen has been spotted in Miami with her new boyfriend. Lorenzo had flown down to Florida in an effort to woo Jen back and win her affections. When that did not work, Lorenzo decided to start dating again, and just cope with the whole situation. That is why everyone thinks Lorenzo is such a bad guy for being seen with new women in New York. Jen is not available, so I don't blame Lorenzo for trying to pick up the pieces of his life and just move on. He probably would have been better off with Sadie.

ms Sun, Dec 10, 2006 at 11:08 PM EST

Apparently, Lorenzo can’t commit to women period! I feel for the next girlfriend…two LONG term relationships with no marriage, two gorgeous wonderful women in the final two and no potential for commitment. Doesn’t this guy have any balls? I didn’t buy Lorenzo’s final two indecision for a minute. In fact, both girls are way too young for him. I get the “when you know, you know” (and I don’t fault him for it) but from a woman’s point of view, the decent and respectful thing to do especially given Lorenzo’s oft professed value of “honesty” -- would have been to acknowledge this publicly (screw Fleiss). Lorenzo’s apparent wish to keep “developments” private may serve him well, however “smoke and mirrors” public appearances and maintaining silence permits tabloids to disrespect both girls (but especially Jen). She (they) doesn’t deserve this. Lorenzo turned out to be an even bigger bachelor “tool” than those he complained about with one of the other women. Pathetic, but true! Ugh….this “prince” really turned out to be a toad! But why am I not shocked?

As for “ANON”… you’re not doing your buddy any favors with your rants…but again, why am I not shocked?

Oh ladies… one consolation… Jen’s new guy (if one is to believe tabloid garbage) looks to be a hottie! Hmm…I bet he can kiss!

ANON Sun, Dec 10, 2006 at 06:58 PM EST

I can't speak for Jen Wilson but I know for a fact that Lorenzo wishes to keep developements since the show as private as possible, hence no formal release. Yes, I do know Lorenzo personally, but have never been met or been introduced to Jen, but I have been introduced to quite a few "eligible bachelorettes" in NYC by Lorenzo. We all knew going in that there would be a huge media frenzy (i.e. blogs) that would openly display everyone's viewpoints, so it has been no surprise to see eveyone's diversse comments. Although I am not at liberty to divulge any details, I will say that Lorenzo made the choice he made at the end of the show because it was the thing to do (for the show), not because he felt he found the love of his life. And you can't really blame him, because he did have the best of intentions, and it's no one's fault that he didn't find what he was hoping for in a life partner. As the saying goes, when you know you've found "the one", YOU KNOW, and there are no doubts in your mind to never let that person go. This wasn't the case for Lorenzo. He was indifferent and confused up until just a few hours prior to the final decision. He didn't find true and "everlasting love" on the show, but I can say that now he's in a better place.

greatgatsby Sun, Dec 10, 2006 at 05:27 PM EST

ANON-

Do you know Lorenzo or are you simply reporting hearsay? I read that Jen has moved on as well but this was reported in NE so gotta take that report with a HUGH grain of salt! Strikes me as odd as to why the couple if not together would not make a formal press release so ugly gossip mongering ends!

bg Sun, Dec 10, 2006 at 02:31 PM EST

Is it true that "Prince" Lorenzo has a new girlfriend? How come ABC hasn't issued any press releases? If true, I'm not surprised. They were in totally different worlds. He is a thirty-something that is going through a materialistic corporate and social climbing phase of his life. She is a naive, immature-for-her-24-yrs, teeny boppy air-head who has no depth or grace. (Did anyone notice her gawky posture as she entered the last rose ceremony?) She probably giggles her way through class and relates well to the eight grade girls...maybe even gets into boy-talk and fantasy land with them. She is definitely Daddy's "little girl." Sadie, 23, could at least hold a conversation!

ANON Sat, Dec 9, 2006 at 11:08 PM EST

But Lorenzo doesn't want Jen. He just did it for the show because he had to choose. Now that the show's over, he realizes there are no true feelings there. He has been out with others and currently with someone new, whether Jen wants to admit to knowing or not. Lorenzo also can play it smart by keeping her in delusion. He's a man!

SuZQ Sat, Dec 9, 2006 at 09:59 PM EST

I was completely transfixed to the point of changing my schedule! this is the first "reality" style show i have truly watched. it was such an unreal situation, but yet i felt some real emotions defintely came thru. i think Lorenzo and Agnese had some real feelings, and she was so right when she said he used his head not his heart when nixxed her. i also felt none of these girls were truly right for him, from what i could see in this unreal reality show. but that's the thing, who knows what these people are really like?

i felt jen was by far the best pick of all the finalists, but she was also the safest. a teacher; earthy; pretty; kind of reminded me of his mom. sadie was- well- i don't know! and, i don't even think SHE knows who she is, but i did think she was the most "princess-y". i think lorenzo specifically did NOT want too much of a princess. jen knows herself much better i think.

but i too was very disappointed that all of them were "wow him a prince, me a princess, wow!" how sad to think that could be the main reason to marry a guy. he set himself up w/ that one if he sincerely wants a great woman. what a way to find someone.

but i do think jen and lorenzo should take the time to find out. what could it hurt to NOT date others for a short time, while they figure it out? i liked both L & J and found them both to be sincere, likeable, and real; if deluded.

Pierluca Fri, Dec 8, 2006 at 11:02 PM EST

I dunno what Lorenzo was thinking, he is a Roman Prince for crying out loud, he knows he shouldn't be froliking around with other women. Besides, he made the wrong choice in the end. Sadie was the better choice. Come on, everone knows that. Sadie actually had emotional feelings for him and Jen did not. All Jen could say was "Look at the ring!", at least Sadie said "I love you."

If I were a prince, I would have made the wrong choice by choosing Jen. That is jsut my oppinion.

Anyways, for all those who loved watching the show, Final two was a great choice. Also Rome was awesaome. For those who never have been, you should go sometime. It is better in reality than on tv.

Janice Fri, Dec 8, 2006 at 05:00 PM EST

And now the Reality Blurred site is carrying the story about Jen's frolicking with the coworker.

Tracey Fri, Dec 8, 2006 at 02:58 PM EST

What happened to the couple from two seasons ago - I can't remember their names, but he was an actor's brother, and she was a nurse.??

Janice Thu, Dec 7, 2006 at 02:58 PM EST

Joe: Thank you, thank you, thank you. That announcement about Erica made my day! I called them months ago when they were asking for suggestions for a Bachelor(ette). Yahooo!! I can't wait to read the commentaries =:0)

Joe Thu, Dec 7, 2006 at 02:07 PM EST

The new announcement from the network is that Erica is going to be the next Bachelorette. I think that she will be the ideal candidate. She's attractive, b***hy, and has a real attitude problem. She will be perfect.

Janice Thu, Dec 7, 2006 at 01:15 PM EST

Read all about it!
MSNBC just reported a "news story" from a tabloid that Jen is frolicking on the beach with a coworker. He's a teacher.
So much for our theories about gold diggers, huh?

ANON Thu, Dec 7, 2006 at 09:02 AM EST

"katydid" is a psycho!!!!!!!! Okay "katydid", uhhh, just for your sake, let's agree to disagree, K? :) Since you're so fixated on a delusion, you can run with it! Don't want to crush you!

joe Thu, Dec 7, 2006 at 08:17 AM EST

Mig......Interesting that you should ask about Mary and Byron. Just so happens that I spotted them at a Falcons/Bucaneers game last year and they were together and looked happy. Also, for all of you chiming in, on Lorenzo and Jennifer, where would you bet your money if you were in Las Vegas. I would bet against Lorenzo and Jenn if I wanted to play the odds. Also, to the popwatch editor.....can we get a different picture of Lorenzo and Jenn at the top of this string? I am getting bored with the current photo. Maybe a picture of Erica would be fun. She's more fun to talk about anyway.

katydid Thu, Dec 7, 2006 at 01:09 AM EST

ANON-

I know differently but I can be perfectly fine agreeing to disagree. Cheers!

mig Wed, Dec 6, 2006 at 11:20 PM EST

I don't think they're together after watching them on Regis the next morning. They seemed too distant, and Jen didn't say much. She was much more bubbly on The Bachelor whenever she talked about Lorenzo. She just let Lorenzo do all the talking with Regis, and she did not make any comments on their future plans. Yes, she was still wearing the ring, but that doesn't mean anything. I don't why the show is even still on. Other than Trista and Ryan, no one ever hooks up! And whatever happened to Mary & Byron? They were still planning a wedding at last year's Bachelor, but nothing was said this year if a wedding ever happened.

ANON Wed, Dec 6, 2006 at 06:31 PM EST

Intimating? Okay....
Some people can't let go and refuse to accept the truth. Jen's an immature and ditzy brat with a vocab of a 4 year old and the walk of a retard. But at least they did what they had to do for the show. Huge success and boost for Lorenzo.

katydid Wed, Dec 6, 2006 at 06:25 PM EST

ANON- "Sounds like someone is either "connected"..."

Connected yes, but probably not in the way you are intimating!

ANON Wed, Dec 6, 2006 at 06:11 PM EST

Some like "katydid" (ahem) just can't seem to get out of pretend-land. If Jen was so great he'd want to be with her! Sounds like someone is either "connected" or been spending a little too much time memorizing show lines!

katydid Wed, Dec 6, 2006 at 05:44 PM EST

Lorenzo is lucky to have chosen Jen. She's stunning! On top of that she is sweet genuine and down-to-earth. She's got beautiful eyes and like Mama Borghese said..."Goodness radiates from them and a special soul shines right through." I think they will try to work on a relationship if the rest of us leave well enough alone and let the rumors rest! Sincere wishes to L&J.

Stephan Wed, Dec 6, 2006 at 04:41 PM EST

It's not called a rumor if it's true! Stop living in make-believe TV land!!! :0 They're downhill!

cassie Wed, Dec 6, 2006 at 01:45 PM EST

All rumors ...

Best wishes Jen and Lorenzo!

Janice Wed, Dec 6, 2006 at 11:49 AM EST

Thanks, Joe, for the fine lament for Jen.

Now, our next song must be Roy Orbison's "It's Over."

Yes, "It's over, it's over, it's over."

Joe Wed, Dec 6, 2006 at 11:33 AM EST

I would like to dedicate the following song to Jennifer, who is a most deserving winner:
"Suddenly I See"

Her face is a map of the world
Is a map of the world
You can see she's a beautiful girl
She's a beautiful girl
And everything around her is a silver pool of light
The people who surround her feel the benefit of it
It makes you calm
She holds you captivated in her palm

Suddenly I see (Suddenly I see)
This is what I wanna be
Suddenly I see (Suddenly I see)
Why the hell it means so much to me

I feel like walking the world
Like walking the world
You can hear she's a beautiful girl
She's a beautiful girl
She fills up every corner like she's born in black and white
Makes you feel warmer when you're trying to remember
What you heard
She likes to leave you hanging on her word

Suddenly I see (Suddenly I see)
This is what I wanna be
Suddenly I see (Suddenly I see)
Why the hell it means so much to me

And she's taller than most
And she's looking at me
I can see her eyes looking from a page in a magazine
Oh she makes me feel like I could be a tower
A big strong tower
She got the power to be
The power to give
The power to see

Suddenly I see (Suddenly I see)
This is what I wanna be
Suddenly I see (Suddenly I see)
Why the hell it means so much to me

Stephan Wed, Dec 6, 2006 at 09:12 AM EST

Uh....HELLO? Lorenzo has been with other women since the show and is now courting someone new...so save your well wishes for an actual couple!

Katie Wed, Dec 6, 2006 at 01:28 AM EST

Fleiss does a great job leading the average viewer down his garden path and hiding the real love story in the subtext with his edits. Lorenzo is a charming and decent guy who found an gorgeous sweet and caring woman. Follow the Trevi fountain clues. Their love story was there from the beginning. Lorenzo made a choice from his heart! Happy wishes to them both!

Kendra Tue, Dec 5, 2006 at 11:58 PM EST

I thought Sadie was great, but you can't go wrong with Jen either. Lorenzo...sorry -Prince Lorenzo_ is a total dork. If he wasn't a prince...Jen would have been in his league. Sadie is just way too much fun for him. Either way I think he made a good choice, and I hope it works out!

Janice Tue, Dec 5, 2006 at 04:48 PM EST

Given the way things have worked out, and with 20x20 hindsight, it was a rather shameful thing the way the fathers of Sadie and Jen so readily gave their "permission" to Lorenzo when he asked for "their hands". It was like watching them put their daughters up on the auction block. That the dads used as an excuse they "trusted their daughters' judgement" was just plain lame.

kevin Tue, Dec 5, 2006 at 02:36 PM EST

False, Lorenzo has a new girlfriend in NYC. He and Jen are history. He lied to her. He benefited so much from the show, for his own rep that is.

Joe Tue, Dec 5, 2006 at 02:27 PM EST

Well, we who have second guessed Lorenzo and Jenn have egg on our faces. I heard on the news today that they are getting married. Sadie had better Pom Poms, but Jenn looked really good in the hot tub. It was a really tough call for Lorenzo. Erica had the best legs, if anyone can think back a few episodes.

floss Mon, Dec 4, 2006 at 09:55 PM EST

Is Jen and prince Lorenzo still together.

Princess Consuela Banana Hammock Mon, Dec 4, 2006 at 09:11 PM EST

Lorenzo's an idiot!! Obviously he's not looking for genuine because he didn't pick Sadie! Jen is soo freakin retarded... she had no personality, she kept saying the same thing over and over.. they made no connection at all on the show! I don't know what he was thinking... I feel bad for her students who have to listen to her annoying voice all day.. I would turn lesbian just to marry Sadie!

melinda Mon, Dec 4, 2006 at 07:34 PM EST

Sadie's "comfortable silence" and "like when it's raining, rent a movie, and pop popcorn" in response to Lorenzo's desire for "just a real life" are overused and naive cliches....and illuminated the age gap in life years between these two.

Janice Mon, Dec 4, 2006 at 06:35 PM EST

Erica woke him up to the reality of the situation: she pointed out the class differences between someone born into privilege like himself versus the gold digging commoners. Once his eyes were opened (even though he didn't like the person who opened his eyes) he was stuck with playing out the situation until the bitter end. Up until that point he'd been in LaLa Land about "we are all the same" and " we are all equal", etc. NOT! As my Hungarian daughter-in-law says "Oil and water do not mix."

Bev Mon, Dec 4, 2006 at 02:07 PM EST

So....are they still together ?

sassy Mon, Dec 4, 2006 at 12:17 PM EST

I stopped watching after he ditched the Italian girl. People who are really interested in finding true love don't let something so superficial get in the way of a good thing. He just didn't want to try. Then I tuned in to watch the finale. I was rooting for Sadie. I really liked her "comfortable silence" comment. Anyone who's looking for a long term relationship should be mature enough to know that how you feel toward the person when you're not being "entertained" by them is important. Sadie was.

Lorenzo obviously wasn't interested in really finding someone or didn't like his choices. I really think Lorenzo chose Jen because he knew she felt the same way and wouldn't be devestated in the end when it didn't work out. In six months they'll blame it on the real life geographical distance or finding someone else in the mean time.

Emilia Mon, Dec 4, 2006 at 11:56 AM EST

Sadie looks dumb as a rock, SO FAKE!!!!

joe Mon, Dec 4, 2006 at 11:45 AM EST

The real winner on these Bachelor shows is to come in second place. You get to milk the air time until the very end, and at the same time, don't have to go through the charade of pretending you are in a relationship with the Bachelor. And how many people think Lorenzo is really a prince? Remember, Chris's comment...."What's up with the Prince thing?" Even he does not believe Lorenzo is really a prince. I think it would be fun to see Erica as the next Bachelorette.

Cassandra Mon, Dec 4, 2006 at 10:59 AM EST

Francesca--

Is that you Erica?

Amy Mon, Dec 4, 2006 at 10:49 AM EST

Lorenzo and Sadie would have been a better match.
I question the relationship with Lorenzo and Jen because why isn't there a "After the Rose Ceremony" epidode???????

Francesca Sun, Dec 3, 2006 at 11:05 PM EST

For the record, "Lorenzo & Jen" does not exist. It's meaningless that they've tried to make it work, keep in touch, etc. That's what the show encourages to happen. What're they supposed to do? Lorenzo has been out in the NYC networking/nightlife scene and has benefited TREMENDOUSLY from the show. He's built himself and his business up to a whole new level. I don't know Jen but it's obvious that one would get the sense that she is insincere and just said whatever she thought Lorenzo wanted to hear. She's just a little girl who lacks any substance. Lorenzo knew that at the final ceremony but knew he had no choice but to pick one of the girls. Good for him for meeting the special woman in NYC. I'm sure we'll hear about it mroe sooner or later. Jen needs to get off of her teenie-bopper cloud! What a lame and annoying lowlife!!!

Perla Sun, Dec 3, 2006 at 09:54 PM EST

Im happy for Lorenzo & Jen, i think she is a nice Girl,of course everthing changes know they are in reality, its not easy a distance relationship, so if they what to grow as a couple and get marriage, both of then have to put 50% and 50% of all they have, so they can be as happy as they look allways!!

lisa Sun, Dec 3, 2006 at 09:10 PM EST

Hey at least he didn't pick LISA!!!!!

Erica Sun, Dec 3, 2006 at 04:05 PM EST

I was leaning a little more towards Sadie than Jen, but oh well. But I think without a roll in the hay, how would they know if they were sexually compatible? I would loved to have seen Erica's parents on the show. I wonder what they could possibly be like to have raised such a whinny proclaimed socialite. If she is so great, why isn't she already marrried?

Nicole Sun, Dec 3, 2006 at 02:31 PM EST

Neither Jen or Sadie were at his level. Both girls seemed superficial and would've said anything to get picked. They weren't sincere, especially Jen. She looked and sounded desperate. As for Sadie, how annoying was it to hear her repeat that she's a virgin. She played the innocent card but was very obsessive and stalkerish, and Jen was just juvenile and immature. Obviously he had to pick SOMEONE to finish off the show, and he picked the girl who he knew has "been around the block". Whoever believes there's a future there is a fool. When Lorenzo got back into the "real world" I think he realized the world was his oyster, ladies-wise, and the word is that he did indeed meet a stunning woman through a family function in NYC. I'd be curious to learn about about this development...

Diana Sun, Dec 3, 2006 at 12:20 AM EST

I hope they are miserable together because Jen showed NO PERSONALITY on the show and sadie did, so I think he made a BIG mistake

asante Sat, Dec 2, 2006 at 09:45 PM EST

y'all should just leave jen and lorenzo alone.i'm excited she picked jen. its kinda sad sadies's heart got broken. It kinda seemed like she expected too much from lorenzo. i hope jen and lorenzo get married and live happily ever after

sue Sat, Dec 2, 2006 at 09:24 PM EST

Lorenzo needs his head examined!! Sadie was the kind of girl that you could love, respect, and trust completely. She would be an ideal mother and wife. She was also gorgeous and intelligent. It's sad that a 34 year old is not ready for a commitment, but rather waste his time with someone who he KNOWS he would never marry.

m. guillou Sat, Dec 2, 2006 at 09:09 PM EST

Jen bashers should realize that real people who are very shy gets toungetied when they're in love, add to that the pressure of being in front of the camera and words don't come out the way they should. of course on the other hand, perfect people are calculating enough to say the right words at the right time becoz emotions are not involved, just the brains.

bg Sat, Dec 2, 2006 at 07:35 PM EST

What's all the fuss being made about being a "prince" or a "princess"????? All these people are regular, red-blooded, common citizens who go to work like the rest of us. "Prince" Lorenzo is so proud of his heritage that he has no interest in learning the language of his heritage. Other than his title, he is really sort of a doofus with a dated hairdo and has the personality of a log. The girls are so enamoured with the idea of being a "real life princess" that it makes me wonder what self-respecting modern women think that actually means. Has anyone noticed how Jenn has the vocabulary of a teeny bopper and zero ability to articulate anything intelligent?????? ("...me and Lorenzo will blah, blah, blah..." grammar, anyone??) But thank goodness for all these people, otherwise we wouldn't have any fun watching them!

joey Sat, Dec 2, 2006 at 04:34 PM EST

Even though Lorenzo speaks only English, I'm certain that his dad is Italian because i could barely understand what he was saying.

I don't think his mom is Italian.

Trisha Sat, Dec 2, 2006 at 12:15 PM EST

Why would any woman want to be with Lorenzo? I liked Sadie the best, which is why i wanted her to lose so she could find herself a REAL man. Not some fake prince with no manners. And now he is partying with all these different girls? Wake up call! Lorenzo is not worthy of Sadie or Jen, and he doesnt even deserve the attention of being a so called "prince."

Sadie should be the next bachelorette. Some men do have morals, and i would love to see her find him.

m guillou Sat, Dec 2, 2006 at 09:25 AM EST

Lorenzo's mom knew sadie was faking, Jen wasn't, hence the head versus heart reading. sadie seemed fake and calculating to me, Jen was down-to-earth, ruled by her feelings for Lorenzo.sadie wanted the money, she would never go for Lorenzo if he was broke, his mom knew that. Jen didn't care about any of that, she fell for Lorenzo.

trish Fri, Dec 1, 2006 at 03:01 PM EST

i just heard on the news that Jennifer and Lorenzo broke up!!?? Is this actually true!!?

Janice Fri, Dec 1, 2006 at 01:35 PM EST

I'm happy to hear about the NYC girl that Lorenzo met at a family function. I thought both girls were two marshmallows: white, smooth surfaces, nice and sweet, etc. You get the idea. Nothing wrong with marshmallows, mind you, but how interesting is that in the long run? Everybody extolls Sadies "values". Huh? My husband thinks she should've been physically examined to check out her oft vaunted virginity! After all, that's what they did back in medieval times which is when Lorenzo's family got their title. It's a sleazy, cheesy show and I still love it.

Allie Fri, Dec 1, 2006 at 11:14 AM EST

Wow! Ya'll are a rough crowd. Before you are so quick to pass judgement on any of the people involved in the show, I think you should all take a deep look at yourself and imagine how you would fare under the same stressful circumstances and ABC not only following your every move, but editing it to create the story they want to show. Sadie and Jen both seemed like lovely people to me and deserving of a "prince." Best wishes to all involved.

Kat Fri, Dec 1, 2006 at 09:04 AM EST

omg i totally agree w/ u! jen is so fake and lorenzo knows he made the wrong choice, it's so obvious! i bet she doesnt even like her job and just said it 2 please him just like evrything else she says! i bet her students hate her guts!!! i wouldnt be surprised if hes still thinking about sadie and trying to win her back, he realized what he lost! if she doesnt take him back then i know he doesnt want jen, he realize his mistake and wants someone on his level, jens a fake little kid who looks disgusting!

Francesca Fri, Dec 1, 2006 at 08:52 AM EST

Jen is fake and ugly and has acne all over her face that she tries to unsuccessfully cover by caking on makeup. Lorenzo definitely made the worst choice possible and word is that he has already been courting a NYC female he met at a function through his family. Jen is so gross and so superficial and has no layers to her and she walks like a sick duck.

cheche Thu, Nov 30, 2006 at 11:13 PM EST

Lorenzo..typical..will go for the easy target,,He should've picked Sadie,,,as for Jen,,it won't be long that she would be acting like her dad,,,,I wonder if they are still together????does anyone knows??

nikki Thu, Nov 30, 2006 at 10:22 PM EST

hii congrads to jen and price lorenzo i realli t hink hes a nice person and is serious with relationships very charming and nice ... anywayz gud luck with your future wife jen

debby Thu, Nov 30, 2006 at 09:36 PM EST

I have to say, I was hoping he would have picked Sadie. She has a lot of class and style. Her values are a rarity in this day and age. I do not think she lives in a fantasy world, expecting to much with her book of "What I deserve." She is a daughter of God and we all deserve the best, men and women equally.

mal Thu, Nov 30, 2006 at 07:26 PM EST

The mother picked for the so-called prince, it is obvious.

He wanted Sadie, but mother picked the other palm.
Crazy people!

Also Sadie seemed too much in love and he took the cowards way out.

Coward so called prince that is!

Courtney Thu, Nov 30, 2006 at 07:04 PM EST

I was in complete shock when Sadie was not chosen! She was an adorable girl with such genuine intentions. She presented herself as a lady so naturally, because she has guarded her heart. Lorenzo's eyes seemed to light up when he was with her. What a commitment he could have had! Sadie wanted to Love Lorenzo, Jen just kept saying she wanted to be picked! Did he just enjoy Jen because she loves her job? Come on. And don't even get me started with the father. Can anyone honestly see these families coming together and enjoying eachother's company? Wow. Wow.

Chancey Thu, Nov 30, 2006 at 06:39 PM EST

I was blown away when Lorenzo chose Jen over Sadie. Sadie is a realist as opposed to Jen who has the fantasy of becoming a "Princess". Sadie KNEW that she had a 50/50 chance of becoming the one that would be chosen. When she wasn't, she dealt with it with style and grace. No blubbering, no "I should be the princess" She knew he had to make a choice and that she had made it this far. The way she put on a smile for HIM....the way she looked him in the eye and tried to console HIM by telling him. "It's OK...you had to make a choice" GOOD LORD! Can you imagine Jen's reaction if it had be her in that place. My bet it would have been comparable to Erica's departure.

The one thing that really made me think that Sadie was the more mature was the way she told him on the last date that she was greatful for meeting him....Never once did she say anything about being a princess or "Pick ME"

Nothing against Jen, but Sadie definitely had her on style and grace.

Carol Thu, Nov 30, 2006 at 05:57 PM EST

I believe that the only reason that Prince Lorenzo chose Jen was because he was intimidated by Jen's father when he gave his "rifle" warning speech!

sweetiepie Thu, Nov 30, 2006 at 02:16 PM EST

Lorenzo is no 'prince'....He lives in New Jersey!!! That is such a frivolous title and his relatives do not even know who he is....they were so embarrassed for him to be on TV pretending to be a 'prince'. He had never been to Italy before and had never been to the estate where the producers filmed the show...and he does not even know the language....they had to give him a crash course to be able to say just a few words...duh! If Jen thinks she is going to be with a 'prince' and be a 'princess' she should think again...she will be a 'princess' selling his dog stuff in New Jersey...what a life.....what a fake!

Mo Wed, Nov 29, 2006 at 09:04 PM EST

I thought he should have picked Sadie! She should definitely be the next bachelorette! I think alot of viewers liked her and would be very interested in seeing her meet her real match. It's also a lot more fun when you already know the person. I think you get more into it. For example Trista...

Joseph Wed, Nov 29, 2006 at 04:21 PM EST

Jen does not strike me as immature. Like a lot of people, she giggles when nervous. There isn't a man alive who could live up to Sadie's fantasies of a husband. She wants the ideal man and he just does not exist. She has a lot of growing up to do. Something tells me she will be single for a very long time. Jen on the other hand needs to dump Lorenzo asap, hock the ring and move to New York. Somewhere in that great, big city her Investment Banker is waiting.

Joe Wed, Nov 29, 2006 at 04:06 PM EST

Lorenzo is a hero! He played it perfectly! He got to advertise himself for future dating, and at the same time drag two perfectly nice girls through the mud!! :-) .....let me correct that....I meant to say one woman and one girl. LOL It was priceless the way he dumped Sadie....."I'd rather be with someone else." Ohhhh, that was soooo great. I even taped it so I could enjoy the dumping part again. Good luck Lorenzo and Jenn.....please stay in the tabloids so we can continue to enjoy the drama.

Janice Wed, Nov 29, 2006 at 03:54 PM EST

What does everybody think about Erica's claim that Lorenzo has The Prince Charming Syndrome & was looking for a poor girl that he could raise to his level? I see him as very fearful about being taken advantage of by the golddiggers (to quote Kayla) which may explain why he hasn't married so far.

erica Wed, Nov 29, 2006 at 03:52 PM EST

I think Sadie was the much better choice. She was so real and didn't hold back her morals or values. I do not think she should be criticized about revealing these things on national television. As far as her giving Lorenzo the book on what she deserves, better to let him know what she wants now rather than later. Jennifer seems way too immature for him. He chose her because she was more willing to let him have his way with her.

jan Wed, Nov 29, 2006 at 03:14 PM EST

I think Jennifer was beautiful and nice, and I wish them the best, but of course think it's a long shot. And, I agree, I would love to see Erika in another show of some sort - she was a hoot to watch!!!

Vern Wed, Nov 29, 2006 at 03:11 PM EST

So, tweet widdle Sadie got her heart broken by the big bad Prince. Welcome to the real world. Princess Sadie has been living in a fantasy world for far too long.

Sean Wed, Nov 29, 2006 at 01:51 PM EST

Great idea Luke. You should write it up and sell that idea to Bravo or even Fox.

Madeleine Wed, Nov 29, 2006 at 01:12 PM EST

Read a month ago that Lorenzo was partying/surrounded by girls in a club recently. Like this would last.

Jen's sing-song-y voice (awful!) and her irritating laugh would drive me around the bend. Can't believe she inflicts that on her students everyday...those poor kids.

Adele Wed, Nov 29, 2006 at 12:16 PM EST

Given the cold hearted way in which Lorenzo dumped Sadie, Jen should run for her life. If it's already over between them, then she should thank her lucky stars because she dodged a bullet. I started seeing Lorenzo in an unflattering light after he cold heartedly stripped Jami of the jewels and slammed the limo in Lisa's face after saying goodbye. For a "Prince", his manners leave a lot to be desired. Jen and Sadie can do so much better.

Kayla Wed, Nov 29, 2006 at 12:02 PM EST

Nothing in this show is "real" - the situation is forced, the girls are gold diggers and attention seekers and, anyway, how can you act natural when there are cameras filming your every move? That's why 99.9% of these fake relationships don't last. I am curious to know what subject Jen teaches. She seemed awfully immature to teach a bunch of 8th graders. As for Sadie, I admire her values but that so-called prince wasn't picking her. He's already sampled the merchandise and probably decided he had to seriously commit if he chose someone like Sadie.

GeeMoney Wed, Nov 29, 2006 at 11:59 AM EST

I give it a month before they break up.

Janice Wed, Nov 29, 2006 at 11:35 AM EST

For 23 years old, I thought Erica was strong, confident, well-spoken and very sure of who she was. She should have rebuked Lorenzo for accusing her of "being all about the money". All the others, under the guise of rich Lorenzo being "A Prince" were/are really "about the money". This show is so sleazy and trashy but I just can't stop watching! LOL. I'd love to see Erica take on a bevy of guys!

Dawn Wed, Nov 29, 2006 at 11:23 AM EST

So what if they're over. Jen gets to keep the $80,000 ring and Sadie has to live with the humiliation of being told on National Television, "there is another lady involved and I would rather be with her." Ouch!

Tanya Wed, Nov 29, 2006 at 11:05 AM EST

Luke: Bravo had a show called 'Boy Meets Boy' a few years ago.

ceejay Wed, Nov 29, 2006 at 11:03 AM EST

There was ZERO chemistry between these two; besides who would want to marry this girl with such a lousy father? He lacks class, manners and civility and in my experience, you DO marry the family as well..... These two will not get the chance, because they will soon be over.... As for the ring, it was simply a keepsake for having participated and that is how Lorenzo's mother saw it. It was a very smart move on her part not to squander the family jewels on a non-existing engagement.

Dee Wed, Nov 29, 2006 at 10:32 AM EST

I wasn't surprise when Lorenzo picked the beautiful school teacher. She seems nice and pleasant. Sadie comes across as shrewd and manipulative. I couldn't see him marrying any of the 27 ladies. I thought what he would probably do is date one of them for several months. Why would a 34 year old red-blooded heterosexual male pick a virgin to date?

Stephen Wed, Nov 29, 2006 at 09:54 AM EST

I think this whole Batchelor show is feigned. It is so far removed from "reality." Please don't call it reality tv. How can a man ever really know what he is getting when he is coerced to choose within a given short time from among 25-27 young women who are surely putting their "perceived" good foot forward, never their other foot. It takes time, serious time, without the cameras, to really get to know a person. How could anyone, man or woman ever make a true free will decision for a lifetime companion in those circumstances. Relationships from across the country rarely pan out. Poor Lorenzo! At least he had the real ability to express his confusion through tears. Who wouldn't be!

j-man Wed, Nov 29, 2006 at 09:53 AM EST

As a guy, I knew he would pick jenn. For guys, our priorities are hotness and personality. Both seemed equal. But for long-term/marriage, we want to avoid a "worst-case scenario" and choose the safer choice. It would have been difficult for Lorenzo to "wait for marriage" with Sadie and I don't think he's sure if he will marry either one in the long-term. I also think Sadie was better prepared for being "dumped".

I don't agree with everyone's anti-Sadie words. I find her very lively and good-natured and I think the nice ying to L's yang. We shouldn't assume she is a stalkerish, jealous, obsessive type, because we don't know. We hardly see any facets of these girls on this show. Besides, after reading that recap of L and Jen above, it seems they are definitely doomed!
I think that the next Bachelorette should be Agnese, Sadie, or ERICA!!
I am not watching the southern-baptist-totally-courting-middle-America next Bachelor guy- he seems totally lame.

I agree with Nancy. Sadie seems possessive. I can't believe she gave him a diary entitled, "What I Deserve". She has an exaggerated sense of self.

I think Lorenzo made a mistake, Sadie is such a nice girl and such a catch! Not to say theres anything wrong with Jen, she seems nice and all, but Sadie is a better match for him and would be a better wife i think!

It would have been so much fun to have that crazy girl (can't remember her name but the one who thinks she's already a princess) meet Lorenzo's parents...especially his mom. I would love to have seen Lorenzo's mom read her palm.

What disturbed me the most was how the ladies were almost always saying they're in love with a prince. Rarely did they say "I'm in love with Lorenzo". All they could talk about was being in love with a prince and being a princess. These women are still five years old in my book. That being said, I think he chose the right one. Loved Sadie's parents and totally disliked Jen's father. But Sadie has "stalker" written all over her. If he had chosen her, she would never let him even look at another woman, let alone talk to one. She seems to be very possessive and not willing to share "her prince". Scary woman!

Was anyone else completely crushed when he didn't pick Sadie? She's SO much cuter, smarter, spunkier and her dad was adorable and soft spoken, while Jen's was obnoxious and loud....oh, bad choice, Lorenzo, bad choice.

They already did a boy meets boy version on Bravo about 3-4 years ago.

Why doesn't LOGO (Bravo?) do an all-Gay or all-Lesbian version of this show? It would be totally bitchin' fun!
