'Project Runway' faces a fashion emergency!

13215__tim_l How am I supposed to get any work done for the rest of the week? And two days from now, how am I supposed to blissfully gorge on turkey and mashed potatoes and store-bought cranberry sauce? (Oh, Martha, don't hate. You know it's best when it's still in the shape of a can. Mmm.) I mean, nothing's making any sense after reading Maureen Ryan's report in The Chicago Tribune that Bravo has yet to sign up Tim Gunn for a fourth season of Project Runway. I don't really care about the details -- all I know is that Runway without Tim is like the Captain without Tennille. If Bravo execs have to head to the Macy's Accessory Wall and fill it with booty to appease the show's silver-foxy mentor, I say, "Do it!" Whatever it takes. Just make it work, Bravo! Am I right?

Andre! When we fight like this, we get no where. You need to get in here and make it work, Andre!

GLOOMY Sun, Mar 4, 2007 at 09:46 PM EST

Everybody loves tim!!! KEEP HIM!

Kelly Mon, Jan 22, 2007 at 02:25 PM EST

God is there nobody affiliated with PR, other than Tim Gunn, that has an IQ higher than an "avacado" (it certainly isn't Heidi)?

Tim is the show!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Heidi is not!!!!!!!!!!!!

If Tim doesn't come back, I'm gone.

By the way, would someone show Heidi how to dress...maybe Tim could help her out.

Jenny Sat, Jan 6, 2007 at 10:39 PM EST

I completely agree - if Tim is not on Project Runway, there is no Project Runway. He is completely essential. I understand that we're stuck with boring Heidi b/c it's her show, but without Tim, there would be NOTHING to watch.

Kerri Fri, Dec 29, 2006 at 10:16 AM EST

Give Timm what he deserves. If it weren't for the Bigg Gunn, the show would be boring!@

Kerri Fri, Dec 29, 2006 at 10:12 AM EST

Give Tim whatever he wants! The show wouldn't be what it is if it weren't for the BIG GUNN! Have a Happy New Year!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

judith Mon, Nov 27, 2006 at 05:56 PM EST

To borrow from my fav......If Tim isn't on next season, there would be some "Serious Ugly" on that show! This past season was equal to visiting the dentist - one of the only redeeming factors was Mr. Gunn and his cool head amongst the unnecessary insanity.
Get your calendars back out Bravo and make it work. You've got me for one more season - provided Mr. Gunn is present. If not, I'm out - and if Season 4 is as distracted as Season 3, I'm out - even if Mr. Gunn is back for Season 5.
I, too, have absolutely no problem with the replacement of Heidi, Nina and Michael.)

mskimberlyclark Sat, Nov 25, 2006 at 10:55 PM EST

This is typical Bravo mindset, see Top Chef, they think America only responds to snarling mean-spirited people like Heidi, Garcia and Kors. We just want some fashion fun, not blood and guts. I guess the rating don't agree with my assessment or their shows wouldn't be so vulgar.

Ken Sat, Nov 25, 2006 at 12:00 PM EST

He's the only thing that makes the show bearable...fire Michael Kors and give Tim his money.

Craig G. Wed, Nov 22, 2006 at 03:07 PM EST

Just to add another comment along the same lines, Tim Gunn is the glue and so much more...

Pay the man, he's worth it!

dma69 Wed, Nov 22, 2006 at 01:44 PM EST

Wait a minute! Bravo has yet to sign Mr. Make-it-work for a fourth season? What are they waiting for? He's the reason the show is a success in the first place. Forget Heidi (she's just set decoration), Tim's the star. Shame on you, Bravo!

R. Sue Wed, Nov 22, 2006 at 12:13 PM EST

I'm with Ceballos. Kick Heidi's stiff sanctimonious ass out, put RuPaul in, and let her and Tim tear it up. Now THAT, I would watch.

Seriously, Heidi isn't good for much of anything on that show except dramatic pauses. She's about as well-versed in fashion as I am, and catty to boot (Alison anyone?). I say let HER contract lapse, let Tim host for about half her salary (which is still probably an upgrade for him) and call it a day. RuPaul can guest judge.

Tim Wed, Nov 22, 2006 at 11:51 AM EST

Mr. Gunn is simply delightful! I ask myself (perhaps too) frequently 'What Would Tim Gunn Do?' There's no need for PR without him.

Fatima Wed, Nov 22, 2006 at 11:38 AM EST

Watching a couple reruns of the show the other day, I realized that the show kind of annoys me. I really didn't like it this year. no tim gunn means I'm not watching at all.

Please! Wed, Nov 22, 2006 at 11:26 AM EST

Tell me where to send my check for the "Keep Tim Gunn Fund." On the positive side, if Tim doesn't come back, it frees up my late Wednesdays; I sure won't be watching Bravo.

Jennifer Wed, Nov 22, 2006 at 11:15 AM EST

Tim Gunn is a breath of fresh air on television!!! As much as I love PR, I'm not sure I would watch it without my Tim!!!!! :(

newbie Wed, Nov 22, 2006 at 10:19 AM EST

EEEK! You are SOOO right! Sign him for whatever he asks! The man is priceless. Make it work, Bravo, so that we all can "carry on!"

Robert Wed, Nov 22, 2006 at 10:14 AM EST

Maybe there's some behind-the-scenes Heidi/Tim feud going on because he's more popular on the show than she is... Definitely something to think about.

Heidi's so scripted and wooden; Tim comes across as not only a real person, but a funny, honest, genuinely caring person who wants all of the designers to succeed. I really like that about him.

I boohoo when Tim gets choked up because he's such a sweetheart. I cheer when he reads someone like Vincent because he's so frank. In short, Bravo--MAKE IT WORK!!

Chris Wed, Nov 22, 2006 at 09:43 AM EST

Tim's reactions to the designs and the designers adds a welcome element of humor to the show. Not to mention that his podcast wrap-up of each episode is amazing and hilarious. He is a class act with a heart of gold and is a great mentor for these up and coming designers.

In short: WHAT ARE YOU THINKING BRAVO?!

GoddessLu Wed, Nov 22, 2006 at 08:59 AM EST

I agree with the general consensus--PR would be losing a limb without Tim (and not an arm, a leg at least). Tim is affiliated with the design school and has the fashion credentials--RuPaul is a celebrity that to my knowledge, is not a design instructor (much as the thought is intriguing). I'm sure the recognition that the models and designers get is valuable but there should be some industry standard compensation. Poor little models need to occasionally eat (or smoke or something). KEEP TIM GUNN S'IL VOUS PLAIT!!!!

DrakeClark Wed, Nov 22, 2006 at 08:57 AM EST

Without Tim Gunn, Project Runway will descend into the kind of chaos and uninvestigated accusations of cheating we have seen on this season of Top Chef.

california Wed, Nov 22, 2006 at 02:57 AM EST

The models are in a seperate contest of their own, that's why they aren't paid. The designers are pain either.

julie Wed, Nov 22, 2006 at 12:05 AM EST

Yooo-hooo, Project Runway, you can kiss another viewer bye-bye! Unless you make Tim Gunn happy, that is. *mwah*

Then maybe Tim will get his OWN show. That'd be AWESOME!

Karla Tue, Nov 21, 2006 at 11:39 PM EST

Where is the money for this show going? It's the biggest hit on Bravo.

Did you read the bit by one of the models who said that the models aren't paid for their work - but only for the exposure and the possible payoff of the big win at the end? Huh? How could Heidi let models appear without pay? Those gals are working hard!

Project Runway - cough up the dough for our friend Tim. No more sturm und drang - just do it. You're in your fourth season - so grow up, pay your people a living wage, and get with the program.

Dave Tue, Nov 21, 2006 at 11:36 PM EST

OMG, Bravo better make sure they get Tim Gunn back for season four. He's the best part of the show!

emily Tue, Nov 21, 2006 at 11:28 PM EST

Tim Gunn is class in a world of crass. He makes the show.

Stephanie M. Tue, Nov 21, 2006 at 09:21 PM EST

No Tim Gun- no audience. Sorry Heidi! The show is nothing without him.

V.M.L. Tue, Nov 21, 2006 at 08:21 PM EST

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! THE WORLD NEEDS TIM GUN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

alice Tue, Nov 21, 2006 at 07:30 PM EST

Tim: Aaaaaaaaaandrrrrreeeeeeee! What will our friends at Red Lobster say?

Seriously, there's NO WAY "Project Runway" could work without Tim Gunn!!!!!!

toonces Tue, Nov 21, 2006 at 07:27 PM EST

I AM NOT WATCHING IF THIS HAPPENS.

BRAVO!!!
come ONnnnnnnnn
tim OWNS the show!

please please please do not do this!
thanks, xoxo

B Ro Tue, Nov 21, 2006 at 07:20 PM EST

If Tim isn't there, can they at least get Santino to do his Tim Gunn impression? Where's Andre?

Ann Tue, Nov 21, 2006 at 07:03 PM EST

No Tim? No reason to watch! It's that simple.

Anna Tue, Nov 21, 2006 at 05:52 PM EST

I hope this is just a ploy on Tim's part to get more money (which I'm sure he deserves). Otherwise, Bravo needs to WAKE UP! Tim is the BEST thing about that show!! I love him.

Carry on.

Lynny Tue, Nov 21, 2006 at 05:44 PM EST

If Tim is gone, I am gone.

MIMI Tue, Nov 21, 2006 at 05:38 PM EST

Tim Gunn is what gives PR it's credibility and class. I won't watch without Tim.

Ms Daisy Tue, Nov 21, 2006 at 05:14 PM EST

Tim Gunn is the only reason I watched this season. It sure wasn't for Jeffrey's stunning designs.

Kitty Tue, Nov 21, 2006 at 05:12 PM EST

Tim Gunn makes the show. If he's not on, I won't bother watching. Stipulated - Heidi, Nina and Michael Kors are all replaceable. Tim Gunn is not.

Kiba Tue, Nov 21, 2006 at 05:08 PM EST

NO WAY!! They can't get rid of Tim Gunn... I too would stop watching the show. They can replace Heidi Klum, Nina Garcia, or Michael Kors and I won't care....but NOT TIM GUNN!!!!!

junior Tue, Nov 21, 2006 at 05:07 PM EST

What Bravo needs to do is start paying the man and maybe this wouldn't be a question. I couldn't believe he said he barely gets anything as the semi-host (and the fact that the models get nothing sickens me: don't models know from Tyra [pointing to face] this is the MONEY!]) I too was questioning whether I was going to return to PR after this year's longest season EVER! Without Tim, I may follow online but I'm def not watching Heidi and some new person try to "carry on" like nothing.

If anything, they should get rid of Heidi and have Tim host it!

Cameron Tue, Nov 21, 2006 at 05:06 PM EST

This show will not be the same without Tim. He is the best teacher and has anamzing critical eye. If he is not there I refuse to watch!

Nick Tue, Nov 21, 2006 at 05:04 PM EST

WHAT! Get on this! We need to know what's up! I met Tim Gunn two weeks ago in Seattle - the sweetest person on Earth! I asked him when the next season starts and he said when the Parsons School is out - most likely they will start then. Maybe he is working on a raise, and why not!

Tim signed my Entertainment Weekly Magazine "Nick, Make It Work, Carry On." I say to Bravo MAKE IT WORK!

Patricia Tue, Nov 21, 2006 at 05:03 PM EST

Outrageous! The designers may come and go. They often show such promise and then disappoint, but Tim Gunn is the one person I can always count on to come through with his wit and class. Don't screw up the great thing you've got going Bravo!

Julie Tue, Nov 21, 2006 at 05:00 PM EST

No no no no no. And no. He is hands down my favorite aspect of the show, his presence adds such a touch of sanity to the whirlwind that is the workroom. No no no.

Gretchen Weiners Tue, Nov 21, 2006 at 04:53 PM EST

Uh yeah I would stop watching.

lelee Tue, Nov 21, 2006 at 04:51 PM EST

If they think the whole seamgate thing was a big deal, thay have no idea the backlash losing Tim Gunn would cause. Watching next season was already in question for me, but I will not watch without Tim. What's the point??

hulahoop Tue, Nov 21, 2006 at 04:29 PM EST

Well this is a HOT MESS!! There is no PR without Tim Gunn!

Mark in nyc Tue, Nov 21, 2006 at 04:29 PM EST

No Tim Gunn, then I am not watching. Case Closed.
However if they don't hire him back he should get his own show.

Marc Tue, Nov 21, 2006 at 04:28 PM EST

RuPaul would be funny, but will lack Gunn's refined class. The way he talks even turns me on... very well, make it work. Carry on.

shan Tue, Nov 21, 2006 at 04:28 PM EST

RuPaul?!?!? Are you kidding me? Tim Gunn is the best "host" on tv. Bravo has to sign him on - he makes the show!

Ceballos Tue, Nov 21, 2006 at 04:26 PM EST

Ummm, no...this just won't do. Tim Gunn HAS to be a part of Project Runway, and replacing him with RuPaul of all people is insane. Replace Heidi with RuPaul if you want, but keep The Gunner.

CHANNEL Tue, Nov 21, 2006 at 04:23 PM EST

ONLY TIM GUN CAN MAKE IT WORK CARRY ON

Thad Tue, Nov 21, 2006 at 04:19 PM EST

Would like to RuPaul take over the spot. She can critique ladies wear, mens wear, have a drag show dress making episode. Fab-u-lous!
