I cannot believe there are so many mean spirited people that consume themselves with hatred for Rachael Ray! Get over it already. If you don't like her fine, but find something better to do with your time.

Me! Mon, Jun 9, 2008 at 08:42 PM EST

hey,
Rachel Ray is a women who knows she is not a real chef. When she walked in she said - "you are champaine and I am beer out of the bottle..." That is what foodnetwork was looking for...just leave her alone, I am glad she is a confident women because after all these negative remarks it would be tough to stay in the heat. I am a great fan. I think at times all chefs, tv host etc. can get irratible but so are you and I.

Look, it's all about advertising dollars. Advertisers know what people want to watch. Unfortunately, most of America has the intellect and attention span of a 5 year old. RR just happens to fit into that demographic. How long has the Price is Right been on the air?

Strawbull Tue, Feb 19, 2008 at 05:16 AM EST

PLEASE don't use Bobby Flay as an EXCUSE for RR... because many of us who don't like her, don't care for him either.
How is it okay for people to be angry at McDonalds for selling "unhealthy food" (when we ALL should know it's not healthy). Yet, RR tells people her food is good for you, which is clearly untrue... and you are all defending her? If she got on air, and said "Hey, we're gonna make a dish that isn't that great for you, but I think it tastes GREAT!" I'd have no problems with her. We are in a society that continues to make more laws to protect us from ourselves... Yet when people speak up to say, "Hey, she's not giving you good advice!" We're haters. I don't care how she dresses, if she's fat or skinny... I just care that she's honest. Which she has proven to me that she is not. And nobody can call her on it, because there are ten people right behind that person ready to claim their undying love. I don't like her, so I don't watch her. I encourage those I love refrain also.

Mark Tue, Feb 19, 2008 at 01:53 AM EST

She totally lost me when she fries bacon in EVOO. That just seems nuts. I've analyzed many of her healthful recipes, and it just isn't so. Laden with fat. Children's obesity than sell for Dunkin' Donuts. What an oxyMORON!

Lindsay Wed, Jan 23, 2008 at 02:16 PM EST

This woman is a NIGHTMARE. She is a blatant example of the worst aspect of American culture - sheer mediocrity. I have never seen such a frantic yet completely unstimulating mess in my life! Her "food" is revolting as is her wardrobe, language and raspy voice. I simply cannot understand what anyone finds attractive or entertaining about this phoney! And, btw, WHY CAN'T SHE CONTROL THE VOLUME OF HER VOICE???

rose Sat, Jan 5, 2008 at 08:48 PM EST

All I got to say is if you can't handle the heat, stay out of Rachaels kitchen. Sounds like a bunch of whinny babies. Lots of chanels to watch....

lalala77 Thu, Dec 27, 2007 at 04:11 AM EST

You guys are hating on Ray becasue you are jealous. Personally I do not see anything wrong woth her shows or her style. She talks a lot but that is to inform the audience about her new and innovative cooking strategies and dishes. Stop hating and find youselves something creative to do

Worlds Greatest Sat, Dec 15, 2007 at 10:36 PM EST

I thinks its really sad that people now a days have to pick on Rachael Ray. She makes cooking fun and exciting! It's great to see someone with alot of talent! I also think that cooking is a wonderful way to make a family closer !!

Afi K. James Wed, Dec 12, 2007 at 09:49 AM EST

Rachael Ray is even worse than emeril lagasse, at least emeril has style and coolness, rachael ray has none, she has zero talent.

Jay Fri, Nov 16, 2007 at 07:13 PM EST

personally I love Racheal Ray. She's a hoot. Plus she really cares about people. She's a hard worker and deserves all the kudoes that she gets. Talk about people who deserve bad comments, like teenie boppers drinking and drugs etc. or people who just care about themselves like Paris and her friend. Can't remember her name but she's the u know what that stole Hilary's guy and now is pregnant. Racheal's a good one, let her be.

Steph Sun, Oct 21, 2007 at 12:13 PM EST

No, you can't just "change the channel." She is everywhere. 40 TV shows, face on crackers at grocery store, on billboards, in bookstores, etc.

Why is it so difficult for her adoring fans to wrap their brains around the idea that some people may not agree with them? I find it interesting that people who have a problem with others disliking their icon feel the need to bash other FN people. Talk about juvenile.

I find her to be less than informative, she claims her food is "healthful" but can't be bothered to provide data, claims to be on board the "fight against childhood obesity" while shilling for Dunkin Donuts.

She claimed that this

http://www.foodnetwork.com/food/show_tm/episode/0,1976,FOOD_9997_52635,00.html
was a healthy meal, but it is only carbohydrate and fat. Honey, this ain't healthy.

And it isn't about having a culinary degree or not. Ina Garten doesn't have one and she is one of my fave FN people. It is about credibility and creating recipes that don't resemble puke.

AJ Thu, Sep 20, 2007 at 04:11 PM EST

The most hilarious comment on this board is the person that said "the Rachael Ray sucks community are highly educated people". Sorry to burst your bubble, but "highly intellengent" people have much better things to do than hang on on hate sites and doctor pictures like a 7th grader would do when he gets his first copy of photoshop . You'd think "intellengent" people could come up with better insults. Juvenile losers.

christine kelley Thu, Aug 9, 2007 at 06:37 PM EST

I never cared for rachael ray from the get go. I don't watch her on tv , yet i'm constantly being bombarded by her image on magazines, products, and tv commercials (dunkin donuts) Enough is enough! This is why we are getting sick of her

m Wed, Aug 8, 2007 at 05:54 PM EST

I will get a throbbing headache listening to the incessant screaming, yelling, and fake hype Rachel Ray places on everything she talks about. Even if it is about making a pb&j sandwich, she'll blow it up way out of proportion. I really hate people like that, they remind me of ppl in infomercials. I can't believe people fall for that shitty overly positive crap act she puts on. A neighbor thinks that her act is nice cause she is just excited... I think she is on crank. This country is sick for believing and liking such incredible fakeness.

sarahi shipp Tue, Jul 3, 2007 at 08:05 PM EST

I find it hilarious that people think that the people who don't like Ray are some fat losers sitting behind a computer lol when in reality is people that can think for themselves and just so you know people in the rachael ray sucks community are highly educated people who grew sick and tired of people worshiping her mediocre act. I used to like Ray when she first came out. She was refreshing and perky but then something happened. She is now a joke of her former self. I will not make fun of her for looking like the joker but I will criticize how mediocre she is and how she gloats about it.
Rachael drowns her food in oil and calls it healthy. She says its good fat but still it adds a lot of calories. Ray sucks and its not because she is not a chef but because her food is not good. There are "recipes" posted on the FN from her 30mm about how to serve sorbet (scoop sorbet into a dish). I don't watch her shows but I am blown away on how people think that she is the real deal.

Hey all you haters out there, (notfor nothin) thats a brooklyn NY saying, didn't your mother ever tell you that its not nice to make fun of someones appearance. Not that theres anything wrong with the way rachael looks.Personally, and I think I speak for a lot of guys out there. RR is hotter than a five dollar pistol.I'd love to wake up and see RR in my kitchen smothering my eggs with EVOO.Dont say she smiles like the joker. Dont criticize the size of her boobs.(theyre just fine)Why dont all you critics post you mug on the internet.I sure can use a new dartboard.Keep it up. Keep making fun of people, and in the words of John Lennon.... INSTANT KARMA'S GOONA GET YOU.Pay these jerk-offs no mind Rachael.Theres more lovers than haters out there.

I know its been said a million times but if you find her so annoying, relief is just a click away. All you haters would love to be in her shoes. In just a few short years she's made enough money for five lifetimes. So if it all comes crashing down soon, while you're breaking your ass in your dead end job think of RR on the beach in puerto rico sucking down pina coladas.I'd love to annoy the hell out of you for seven figures a year.ROCK ON RACHAEL.YOU GOT THE WORLD BY THE BALLS...

Tammy Wed, Mar 7, 2007 at 12:58 PM EST

I really love Rachael!!! I think most of the negative comments here are made out of jealousy. I think on a whole there are tons of people who would love to be on television, and here's this young lady that's lucky enough to have all these shows, a magazine,CD, etc....And all of the people with the negative comments know the most about her,,so apparently she's doing something right to even get people who don't like her to tune in..LOL.

valarie howard Sat, Feb 24, 2007 at 10:57 AM EST

She is so rude...an example of destructive pride... she will crash and burn ..wait till sat night live or conan starts making fun ....she may be humbled then. She has a chemical imbalance..Turbo ADD

Bertrand Mon, Jan 22, 2007 at 04:55 PM EST

To "Stacy" below. I'm afraid you're mistaken. Julia Child was not "mostly self-taught" as you claim.

"One of the female students who was enrolled at Le Cordon Bleu did more than sense the trend towards "good cooking and eating," she made it a reality in millions of homes across the United States. That woman, a tall energetic American, to whom Madame Bressart awarded the Grand Diplôme du Cordon Bleu was Julia Child."

You can't get a much more formal culinary education than that. So who's the idiot? I'm guessing maybe there's two . . . you and Rachael.

SheMO Thu, Jan 18, 2007 at 07:27 PM EST

I thought Rachael Ray on the Food Network was okay -- still not enough to hold me to two shows! But now? I hardly watch the Food Network anymore because I am so sick of Rachael Ray! She's even on the cracker boxes in the grocery store! I can't believe her morning show was renewed! I saw it once and itwas waaaayy over the top. I'm sorry -- I feel some powerful machine is trying to force feed us Rachael Ray and I ain't buying it! Give me Anthony Bourdain any day! Now that's a real education of a cooking adventure!

Molly Wed, Jan 17, 2007 at 03:47 AM EST

Whooo Hooo Rachael Ray Show has been renewed for 2 more years!!!! Thank you Rachael for bringing some fun to Daytime Televison! Rock on Sister

yani Sat, Jan 13, 2007 at 08:25 AM EST

Hey, she's not so bad. What she lacks in the head (sooo limited), she make up with her mouth!

Bill Sat, Jan 6, 2007 at 11:48 PM EST

"living her dream"? Oh, yeah lets just throw a whole buncha stuff in a pot and pour some "EVOO" on it and call it "Yum-O". Like a 3rd grader couldn't do that.

Plus, she is on every Ritz cracker, triscuit, chicken in a biscuit, and wheat thin box!

Stacy Tue, Dec 19, 2006 at 04:10 PM EST

BL

You are an idiot. Half the cooks in the world are self taught. The world does NOT need to consist of haute' cuisine chefs. Why would anyone in their right mind want that? Newsflash, Julia Child and others were pretty much self taught as well. Are you going to condemn her as well? Your comment makes me and others realize the stupidity that exists in the world of food.

I work at a food magazine and can clearly tell you no one here values "chefs" greater than "cooks." It doesn't happen. So stop living in your fantasy land where the world consists of all Marco Pierre White's and Gordson Ramsay's. I would stake my life on it that even YOU would HATE that world.

Obviously your mother never cooked for you when you were younger. Otherwise, you would appreciate the value and worth of a good cook. My mother is no chef and she makes some of the best dishes I have ever had and they are ORIGINAL.

BL Wed, Dec 6, 2006 at 02:34 PM EST

Over the years I've watched many cooking shows and loved them. Now, the only thing that matters is cute and ratings. Even Emeril whom I loved has gotten out of hand. Has the media ever really checked their credentials? Some of these gals/guys NEVER had a culinary education!!!!! HELLO???!!! Why/what are we learning from these people on the cooking shows? Soon they'll be putting these uneducated clowns in our classrooms teaching Chemistry because it sells! The Executive Producers need to take a look at what the people are getting sick of!!!
Real soon a smart producer will put on a SMART REAL CHEF and they will find out people want to get back to basics.

w00tw00tgal Sun, Dec 3, 2006 at 01:43 PM EST

Watching a show only gives ratings points if youre a Nielsen Family. People that love and hate her can watch all they want and not add one point to her ratings.

Hey RR Sucks group... how about turning off your TV sets, getting your butts off the couch and get jobs.. instead of watching RR all day and night. Your language is foul which proves how uneducated and trashy you all are. I truly feel sorry for you.

jerry breitinger Sun, Dec 3, 2006 at 12:08 AM EST

I hate her. She better strt cleanng underneath her finger nails. Disgusting!!

Laura Sat, Dec 2, 2006 at 05:07 AM EST

Rock on Rachael! You go girl! You are Awesome !

coiv Thu, Nov 30, 2006 at 04:32 PM EST

Hey, leave Rachael alone. She is one of the best cooks on food network, host of 3 Food Network shows, editor of a magazine, host of a talk show, and writer of cook books. She is a very successful women. Don't be jealose of her because she is successful. So for those who "hate" Rachael Ray or for those who thinks she "sucks" get a life and leave RR alone.

Rose Tue, Nov 21, 2006 at 02:05 AM EST

I love Rachael and love her new show. For those who don't care for her change the channel and get a life!! It seems so many people who hate her watch her show everyday, thanks for the ratings! Keep watching and sharing why you hate her... You are helping to keep her show on the air.... ever think of it that way losers!!

merry Mon, Nov 20, 2006 at 09:39 PM EST

I'm obsessed with the degree of not liking anything about her new show. For one thing. When she serves food at the end she piles on the plates (no portion control) The meals she makes look like slop, fattening, calorie laden. She is not concerned with how it appears to many people who are overwieght and trying to control their intake.
She is very annoying in many ways. Waves her hands constantly probably because she knows people are complaining all the time. The audience claps when she stirs a pot. Give me a break. She is totally being marketed and is laughing all the way to the bank. I miss Tony Danza!!. It was a way more entertaining show on many levels. I am a big big fan of Oprah, but know that she is responsible for this show. I think Oprah was DUPED!!!!

Sarah Mon, Nov 20, 2006 at 04:40 PM EST

I agree with Jennifer. Seriously people, she is a TV personality. If she is fake, so what? newsflash-EVERYONE on TV is fake. Oprah takes advantage of her audience as well. Oprah is the queen of evil and people actually go to that woman to seek life guidance and advice. She is a fraud. I knew someone who went on her show thinking the premise of it was substantial and fit her needs. Then when she did go on and the episode was aired, Oprah called the woman by the wrong name. Talk about not caring.

At least Rachael doesn't profess to be anything more than she is. She has said numerous times that she is not a chef, but a cook...and she doesn't think cooking should be "perfect." Can any of you cook perfectly or consider yourselves haute' chefs? And I guarantee if you met those same high-regarded chefs they'd be bigger bastards than her. Case and point...Bobby Flay. That guy doesn't even try to be nice to people on his shows. He takes advantage of people and then publicly makes fun of them (Throwdown). You people need to re-evaluate why you consider chefs like him "so much better" than Rachael or Paula Deen (AKA REAL PEOPLE)

Jennifer Mon, Nov 20, 2006 at 04:27 PM EST

I do not profess to love Rachael Ray but the things being said about her are so utterly ridiculous. I have some advice people: IF YOU HATE HER, STOP WATCHING HER GODDAMN SHOWS. You have the option of not tuning in. Most people who say they "hate" her, are still watching all of her shows and reading about her...why? Why don't you ask yourself. Obviously something is retaining your attention, so give her some credit in that department. 98% of you are jealous because she is an average girl, average cook, and making millions from it. Well if you all are so great yourselves and make up for all she lacks, why the hell aren't you all over the place? The girl grew up in NOWHERE NY and still managed to make a name for herself, so for all you people saying she is a product of mass advertising and good PR....suck it up and admit that she was a product of good luck/good personality and business sense.

And I am so tired of people saying “Giada is so much better!” That bobble-head is ten times more annoying. She has no less than 8 million teeth in her mouth and feels it necessary to flash them every goddamn second of her show while crooning “OHHH YOU CAN TASTE THE MUUUUUUZ-A-RELLLLLAAAA”

PLEASE. I am 100% Italian and I even hate her goddamn pronunciations. I rather hear yum-o, than see a shark mouth sounding like Luigi from Mario Brothers.

Leigher Mon, Nov 6, 2006 at 03:36 PM EST

Rachel Ray is annoying to say the least.....she give ADD a new meaning.....and to think she makes $6million a year on all of her entities......it too much, shows, magazines, pots and pans and clothing.......plus she needs to go on a diet......if you want good instruction on cooking.....watch Giada....who is professionally trained or Barefoot Contessa.....not Rachel or Paula Deen, ugh....

Robbie Thu, Nov 2, 2006 at 02:31 AM EST

Let me introduce myself...I'm the one who spun the salad in the washing machine on her premier episode (not my idea, I'd never do it for real). I have hated RR from the get-go. Loud, obnoxious, and the Rachaelisms make me cringe. When her producer called me to send in that tape, how could I turn him down? I should have. I am embarrassed to have taken part in such an awful show - someone may think I actually endorse this insanity.

Kay Thu, Sep 28, 2006 at 05:35 PM EST

TIP = E COLI!!!! Is it just me, or did anyone else get totally creeped out at the idea of putting salad in the washing maching??? How could she endorse that? Talk about unsanitary. All it takes is one pair of shorts with skid marks and you got e coli in your salad. YACK!

Rebecca Thu, Sep 28, 2006 at 02:42 PM EST

I haven't watched her talk show yet...thank god... In regards to her $40 A Day show...this is what I find bothersome: 15% - 20% should be a benchmark for tipping. If the service is above good and the server is helpful (as in most cases, with her show, then you should tip above the benchmark). I've never seen her once tip above 15% - 20%. If you can't eat a meal plus tip for less than $40 then you probably shouldn't do a show about it.

I agree with the poster who said she was a marketing illusion. And just so there's no confusion, here are the trademarks she's applied for as of 9/27/06.

Every Day With Rachael Ray (this is registered for her lame-ass magazine)
Yum-O (for restaurant services/take-out restaurant – oh Lord, save us!)
Rachael Ray (9 separate applications for her name and logo for flatwar, bowls, garbage cans (insert your own joke here), towels and table linens, prerecorded CD’s with cooking instructions, providing online information on cooking, her talk show and small kitchen appliances
Bar RR (imagine the drinks)
RR Rachael Ray logo (for her talk show)
Rachael Ray Yum-O (restaurant services/take-out service. Call the Board of Health!)
Garbage Bowl (for bowls)
Rachael Ray’s EVOO (for olive oil)
Rachael Ray Retro Metro (for flatware, refrigerator magnets, towels, calendars, pots)
Rachael Ray 30 Minute Meals (books; refrigerator magnets)
Rachael Ray Hipsters (for bowls and plates)

Anyone who does a little search at the US trademark office online can see what her marketing machine is up to. Please, Lord, deliver us from all evil.

Do you know there's a way to stop the madness? Turn off your TV. Hug your kids, go to the gym, take a walk, make a meal on your own, and stop paying attention to the media hype around you.

What I cannot believe is that you people are so naive! Rachael Ray is puss-filled node of a marketing scheme put together by Richard Heller (big New York entertainment lawyer), Bob Tushman at the Food Network, and a few other minor players. Just you watch--Nigella Lawson is being put together by the same people for the next big splash in a year or so. I can't believe you think there's anything real there. There's not. I should know: I file reports on her on a daily basis in my job. She's a corny fake, a marketing machine, and a hyper jerk. She is not a cook. Do you know it takes hours and hours to film one of her 30-minute meal shows? If you think she does all that in 30 minutes, in one take, you're more naive than the advertisers think you are. Please open your eyes to the modern world. It's all marketing--and Ray is just another node in it. It's all illusion. There IS a man behind the curtains, Toto. In fact, a team of men. And they bet their jobs on the fact that you will not ever come to terms with the fact that her show takes hours to tape, that her public persona is a construction of lawyers and producers, and that she herself is just another small-town jerk made big-time by the boys behind the curtain.

Rachel Ray may be enjoyed and liked by many of the above posters. This is nice. However, she's not for everyone. I do not like over-anxious walking cliches who make clique-y meals.

Do not be offended because some of us don't like her.

Then again, it says alot about the personalities of the people posting attacking the Rachel haters. "How dare you not agree with me?"

Simple. I just don't agree. She tries too hard and IS a bit too old to act like she does. I get the idea that the cute persona has carried her a long way. When she's fifty, this will no longer be cute. Let's hope that she learns from her mistakes and calms down in years to come.

julie Tue, Sep 26, 2006 at 03:58 PM EST

RR is a fake! She was supposed to do a book signing in my city and she wouldn't even sign the books. She was way too busy talking on her cell phone, never smiled, acted like she was going to throw something at the people that were there. She was also booked for an appearance at a restaurant/bar and they had a tremendous crowd, TV camera crews, etc., just like she wanted and she didn't show!!! She won't get any of my time or money. But I think she could write cookbooks for 3 yr. olds. That's her level, tantrums and all.

charles Tue, Sep 26, 2006 at 12:27 PM EST

I'll take a 30 minute meal with her...

k10ltc1 Tue, Sep 26, 2006 at 01:26 AM EST

I haven't seen Rachel's talk show yet,but I'm sure she is great. Her other shows are awsome. I look forward to them and the fact that she might be loud and/or obnoxious is irrelevent. It's a show and she is informative. Emeril is loud and annoying (even more so) but still a great chef. Does it matter that Rachel isn't a Chef. Recipies are recipies and if they make your daily life easier, so be it. If it isn't worthy of you daily life then don't watch. "You have a choice"
I happen to love her tips and recipies and hope to use them some day soon. In fact her show amongst others have inspired me to want to cook and take cooking classes. Most of you people are mean and just jealous that she is living out her dream. Not an easy job, even though alot of you might thing it's easy. Get over it and wish her well, regardless of your personal feelings. She's doing a great job! I amongst others appreciate her and look forward to her input. Don't compare to others, take what you can get from each person. They all have a lot to offer. ROCK ON RACHEL!

M.E. Tue, Sep 26, 2006 at 12:40 AM EST

I just think Rachel Ray is a little too old to act the way she does...it is so over the top that it seems fake. Isn't she almost 40 or something like that? UGGH! I love the Food Network (Paula Deen rocks and is sooo real)but I always change the channel really fast when her show comes on. She is so heavily marketed and I can't understand adults being attracted to her. I think she would be much more useful in a children's show. I feel she is being stuffed down everyone's throat, but all will soon get sick of her and the media will crush her like they do to everyone else that they shoot to stardom so quickly. The often die out hard and fast. This is no disrespect to her entrepreneurial skills, making it big, yadda yadda talk...She is just simply unbelievable.

Karen Mon, Sep 25, 2006 at 10:56 PM EST

CANNOT get away from her!!!!!!! AGGGHHHHHH!!!!! ; (
Does she have to be on EVERY freak'in show on TV?????!!!
Damn, my nerves, eyes and ears will never be the same.
Please, somebody hit her in a major vein with a heavy-duty tranquilizer (or something stronger, knowing her) and put her out, at LEAST for a few hours, so we can get some peace and quiet!!!!!!

Jill Mon, Sep 25, 2006 at 10:19 PM EST

Wow...what a bunch of haters. I'd like to see one or any of you attempt to do what this woman is doing. Living her dream, making it a reality, giving people options in the kitchen instead of running to the nearest fast food place. She might be loud and corny on her foodnetwork show but she is one of my favorites on the show and is definitely giving people something they can walk away with.

Michael Vitko Mon, Sep 25, 2006 at 10:08 PM EST

I CANNOT BELIEVE you people....Rachael Ray has her own magazine and her own show for a reason. We like her, we really like her! She is a normal looking gal, with a normal show....not all the glitz and glamour stuff going on...she is down to earth...she is likeable and just because all you sad couch potatoes don't have a life doesn't mean she doesn't. I tell you what, you think she is hyper? Try going back to watching Jerry Springer which is what is REALLY bugging all you RR HATERS to begin with. Everybody needs a little R and R. And for all you "culinary art student cream puffs"...she has said she is NOT a chef...she is simply a "cook"....which I am sure just burns your muffins, doesn't it? LOL

Delano Mon, Sep 25, 2006 at 10:06 PM EST

Rachel can get it.....bent over at the stove in 30 minutes with tape around her loud mouth!

LCSWalker Mon, Sep 25, 2006 at 09:59 PM EST

I have a problem with people belittling others who step out and make their dreams a reality. You can't please everybody, and there is no need in trying to. At least, Rachael is stepping out doing something that a lot of you won't do. We live in a crab mentality world. Some people just don't want to see other people make it. Is it jealousy? For some it is, and others it just maliciously insane. Being a talk show host is not easy. If you don't believe it, try hosting a show yourself. Instead of belittling the woman, at least give her credit for trying. A lot of people have dreams that will never become a reality because they let other people talk them out of it. As long as RR show benefits one person that's a blessing.

Tracey Mon, Sep 25, 2006 at 09:53 PM EST

ANYONE who finds this talentless piece of crap in any way, shape, or form "entertaining" has obviously never spent one day in culinary school. I have a Bachelor's degree in the Culinary field. My foodie peers and I know she's got to be wearing knee-pads to get all this fame and attention.

Charlie Mon, Sep 25, 2006 at 09:45 PM EST

I've had to watch at times via Delta Airlines and have grown to watch her put on weight as well as being very anoying...

Remington Mon, Sep 25, 2006 at 09:12 PM EST

What can a person really cook up in half-an-hour of any quality - that they don't already know about? If you can only spend quite minimal dollars a day on food do you need to be traveling? An hour a day expounding on such - annoyyo?

Cathy Mon, Sep 25, 2006 at 09:03 PM EST

What is up with these people? A little harsh on the words don't you think?? Why don't you try flipping between Martha and Rachel and tell me who is the more interesting character?? I was literally falling asleep watching Martha.. I couldn't wait to watch Rachel.. She is YOUNG, ALive and an interesting character and I think people are more interested in that.. I think Rachel is VERY smart.. there is no one really out there in the Food Television Industry like her except for maybe Emeril....

rachelneedstocalmdown Mon, Sep 25, 2006 at 08:54 PM EST

I'm sorry Rach, I really wanted to like your show...I really did. But I just couldn't sit through it. I tried for 2 days and shut it off both days. I just found you way too hyper, way too loud, and not very funny. Sorry hon.

Tony C Mon, Sep 25, 2006 at 08:52 PM EST

I generally like Rachael, though she is most decidedly an acquired taste. There are days when I can't deal with the peppy/perky routine (Yummy!), to the point where I'd throw the TV out the window if I left it on. And don't ever, ever let that woman near caffeine or sugar.
How come the suits didn't give Giada DiLaurentiis her own show? Hey, most men would give up football to watch that...

gcd Mon, Sep 25, 2006 at 08:49 PM EST

Rachael needs to get a life and there is nothing funny about her, she is just simply annoying and too loud. She has her own talk show. GOD HELP ALL OUR EARS. She needs to go away, because she is nobody special. She makes healthy meals but she is not in shape or skinny at all. So basically what I am saying, Rachael cut out the nonsense and stick to what you do best, is being a witch.

Denise Mon, Sep 25, 2006 at 08:38 PM EST

Rachael is nails on the chalkboard annoying! I guess this means that anyone can have a talkshow? How bout me???

Julie Mon, Sep 25, 2006 at 08:15 PM EST

I could only watch 30 mins of her show because she was absolutely like a teeny bopper on too much sugar. She drove me nuts! I hope she learns to settle down. I could tell she was even unnerving to Oprah.

michael Mon, Sep 25, 2006 at 08:05 PM EST

Rachel needs to learn you talk to people, not at them. Occasionally you need to take a breath (please) or pause. She is like a nervous teenager on meth.

amy Mon, Sep 25, 2006 at 07:56 PM EST

Well, I happen to love her! She is refreshing, perky, intelligent, personable and hey, give her a break. People tend to talk a lot when they are nervous and some even talk too loud. So what if she's trying too hard - at least she's justifying the big bucks!
