Warning: Paris Hilton is streaming at AOL

10316__paris_l Ring the alarm! Just as quickly as Fergie Ferg and Beyoncé have made the siren this season's hottest hit-making accessory, Paris Hilton is about to usher in its early demise with ''Turn It Up'' and ''I Want You,'' a pair of tracks off her forthcoming release Paris (due Aug. 22). AOL Music is streaming (screaming?) the entire album this week (click here to listen... if you dare), and -- not exaggerating here -- it's worse than I had ever imagined. Horronkulous.

Right from her opening, Alvin and the Chipmunks-esque mewls of ''Yeah, that's hot" to the painful spoken-word interlude on ''Jealousy'' (sample lyric: "Everything I did, I did because I cared"), it's clear that just as the emperor had no clothes, the heiress has no voice, and there's not any amount of vocal layering or expensive production that can disguise it. Not that it'll stop Paris from infecting the airwaves.

Trying to make it through all 11 tracks of Paris (I'm closing in on "Do Ya Think I'm Sexy"; prayers appreciated) reminded me of something the fantastic Jody Watley said when I caught her white-hot, sold-out set at Joe's Pub in Manhattan on Saturday. Noting that her self-released new disc, The Makeover, is unlikely to get much airplay, Watley gave a knowing smile to the audience, then sighed, "Of course, I don't have a sex tape." Alas, that's what it's come to, people. Can the revolution be far behind?

What will this dumb blonde do when she is completely wasted?

Captain Sam Wed, Jan 31, 2007 at 06:48 AM EST

hey.

if paris couldn't sing do you not think that she wouldn't have earned a record deal.

even though she needs quite an amount of editing it still words.

so there is need for critism but that was just too far.

Phil Wed, Aug 16, 2006 at 04:35 PM EST

Also, I've heard Nicole Ritchie's "Dandelions" song. Its not reaching any new ground, & she may not be Lionel's biological daughter, but she actually SINGS, unlike Paris. The comparisons are bound to come any day now, but ya heard it hear first, Nicole's voice is MUCH better than Paris'.

Phil Wed, Aug 16, 2006 at 04:22 PM EST

Synergy is an interesting phenomenon. Paris knew she couldn't sell more cds than Xtina since her "Back To Basics" double cd is going to sky rocket up the charts this week, so what does her record label, WB do to combat the Xtina hype? Why put the ENTIRE full length (if you even wanna call it FULL length since it clocks in at a measely 39:55) cd up on AOL (which is no problem due to the Time Warner/AOL connect) for everyone to hear all week (and most likely next week as well) FOR FREE. maybe Paris actually is actually somewhat more intelligent than most give her credit for??

Then there's the actual music she made. I'm not going to trash her because I honestly have friends that are so stupid that they follow every move Paris, Lindsay, and their entire clique make. I actually have 1 particularly sad friend that is calling stores to see if anyone is selling the cd early! IMAGINE ME BITING MY TONGUE!

The music is totally dispensable/throw-away pop music with just enough touches of what is considered dance and hip-hop thrown in for good measure. "Turn It Up" sounds completely like Britney would have recorded it with Scott Stortch had she not got knocked up with Baby #2. the remixes are surprisingly not super stellar, bu the DJ Dan Hot 2 Trot edit is actually cute, but I don't see pop stations playin that particular version since its not the one Scott Storch produced. "Nothing In This World" sounds exactly like Hilary Duff is singing it, which is even kinda silly, since her sister Haylie & Paris were both originally fighting over to record the track, "Screwed", which surfaced online as a dance remix by Alex G well over a year ago, & didn't sound too terrible.

Its sad, but Paris' cd will sell, though it won't debut at #1 since she's gotta not only contend with Xtina next week, but ATL's OutKast dropping their long awaited soundtrack to their movie opening next friday, "Idlewild".......I say somewhere in the top 5 on the Billboard charts though

Martin Tue, Aug 15, 2006 at 04:45 PM EST

Uh, I think MADONNA used the alarm first on COADF (between Hung Up and Get Together): http://moviemartin.blogspot.com/2006/07/are-you-ready-to-jump-as-queen-of-pop.html

Allison Tue, Aug 15, 2006 at 02:17 PM EST

To the person who said that Brooke Hogan's song is on VH1's countdown-- I don't watch the countdown, but ten bucks says the only reason she's on there is because they produce her family's show...

Jon Mon, Aug 14, 2006 at 11:31 PM EST

I am on track 5....It's like a personal endurance test or something! I feel like I can skip the gym all week if I make it through to that last track!

Jess B. Mon, Aug 14, 2006 at 10:11 PM EST

To paraphrase an old Conan O'Brien joke, buying Paris Hilton's album ironically will only encourage her to make more albums.

Please, think of all the super-talented people out there who are being pushed aside so some no-talent little rich girl can make terrible music! Just say "no" to Paris! I don't care if you think it's catchy: girl can't sing. And if you can't sing, you do NOT, under NO circumstances, deserve a record contract!

Juju Mon, Aug 14, 2006 at 09:57 PM EST

Paris Hilton needs to be arrested for murdering music, and overexposure. She just doesn't know what else to do with her daddy's money.

fawn Mon, Aug 14, 2006 at 07:32 PM EST

EARS.....ARE....BLEEDING....

Ernesto Mon, Aug 14, 2006 at 05:44 PM EST

Bimbo stupid That´s hot saying Paris Hilton is a shame to the people with half a brain, but a queen to those who have no life and live pathetically through her their fantasies of things they will never have...this woman CAN NOT sing, yet she has a big hit this year with a rip off of "Kingston Town" by UB40 and some of the stupidest lyrics ever heard...long story short kids will buy this crappy album after all Britney Spears who CAN NOT sing either is also a star!

Thad Mon, Aug 14, 2006 at 05:15 PM EST

Heard Joe's Pub was smokin! I caught Jody at Virgin megastore on Thursday. Her vocals were fierce and she was looking gooood.

James Mon, Aug 14, 2006 at 04:52 PM EST

Lets bring it to a vote...should we dub SCARIS HILTON...PARASITE? It totally fits!

beb Mon, Aug 14, 2006 at 04:48 PM EST

Does anyone else think that "Heartbeat" sounds a little too close to "Time After Time" by Cyndi Lauper?

James Mon, Aug 14, 2006 at 04:40 PM EST

This album is proof that money can buy ANYTHING! After listening to "Fighting Over Me" I realized..."SHE JUST RUINED 3 GREAT ARTISTS/PRODUCERS IN ONE SONG!" SCott Storch will produce for ANYBODY(Brooke Hogan and...GASP MC HAMMER!) and Fat Joes' and Jadakiss' street cred is all fogotten. The real rappers are going to have a FIELD DAY on this!

Steve Mon, Aug 14, 2006 at 04:15 PM EST

I don't think the CD is that bad. 'Stars Are Blind' is a good song and so are some of the other ones on it. It's not really my sort of taste in music, but I don't think she's that awful too. She has had some classical music training since a child (voice and violen) so she said on the View with Barbara Walters. Paris is still very young and just exploring her interest, let her. Give her a break!

Anna Mon, Aug 14, 2006 at 04:06 PM EST

Lionel isn't Nicole's biological father so who knows what she sounds like.

Arin Mon, Aug 14, 2006 at 03:46 PM EST

I can't listen to this! Why imitate Britney, why!? And Jessica's new album is total garbage too! Did anyone vote for her new single? I vote to STOP her from making music. I think Nicole Richie would do much better than Paris though, and anyone who watches The Simple Life knows that she is the next one to drop an album! I'm hoping Lionel's genes are strong!

Anna Mon, Aug 14, 2006 at 03:32 PM EST

I've only gotten through three songs so far but after struggling yesterday to get through new songs by Monica, Fergie, Cassie, Ciara, and a whole bunch of other mediocre talents, this isn't that bad. It's not good but it's not as bad as I thought it would be. It's
listenable.

As far as Paris' voice, she sounds like a cross between La Toya Jackson and Deborah Gibson.

Stella Mon, Aug 14, 2006 at 03:27 PM EST

You wouldn't think anyone would want to imitate Britney Spears' singing, but hey, there's a first for everything. Oh, and bravo to all of you who sat through the entire thing. I surrendered after 21 minutes. Bravo!

Lynny Mon, Aug 14, 2006 at 03:24 PM EST

If we all had money, I would hope we would be doing something at least slightly more worthwhile with our money. I would like to think we would.

Tyler Mon, Aug 14, 2006 at 02:57 PM EST

This is horrible!!

I loved whoever said we need to take showers now. I totally agree!

David Mon, Aug 14, 2006 at 02:45 PM EST

It's not so easy doing what Britney does, is it?

Ed Mon, Aug 14, 2006 at 02:32 PM EST

If we all had Paris' money, we'd all be doing the same thing!

ASH Mon, Aug 14, 2006 at 02:15 PM EST

Meanwhile great pop music by Kylie Minogue and Rachel Stevens (YES the one from S-Club 7; critics have raved about her music but the public here and in the UK have reacted with indifference) is completely ignored in the US.

rob Mon, Aug 14, 2006 at 02:13 PM EST

HA hahahahahahaha
top notch, paris. top. notch.
undisputed 2006 grammy award winner for best comedy album

exiene Mon, Aug 14, 2006 at 02:02 PM EST

I can not believed I just listened to snippets of this album...I need a shower. Everyone one here on this blog pretty much covered my feelings and opinions, however, listening to her personal and nakedly raw confessional "JEALOUSY" made me wonder if Nicole or Lindsey or whoever her new enemy of the week is, feels they're owed money. Plus, her cover of Do Ya Think I'm Sexy proves that just like her porn stint, being sexy is something you're born with and can't aquire w/ daddy's money.

dude Mon, Aug 14, 2006 at 01:48 PM EST

I just finished listening to this Cd and i have to say one thing: If this media princess and tabloid queen can make an album, I can start mine too. Listening to this cd was funny, and i wasnt bored or anything, i was just shocked that the material in this album is as bad as if some third grade kids could've probably done a better job. And, well, i think the songs, which are bad, are ten times better than the girl singing them (i wont call her a singer, because she isn't). This is bad karaoke on a party at the Hilton, with daughter Hilton singing. I dont expect and i wouldnt want this album to sell, because it's an example of how bad american music has become. The worst tracks must be "Jealousy" and "Screwed". In the later, our Paris tries to reach a high note, and she is so off-pitch, that it is amusing how wrong the label did to convince this girl that she can sing. The best song is acutally the girls' first single, Stars Are Blind.. give her a break, the song is not that bad, and sung by someone like, let's say, Jessica Simpson, would have done so much better. the taste that stays with you after listening to this piece of trash is the same taste someone has after being in a robbery. Even if you don't pay to listen to this CD, something in it makes you feel like you were robbed anyway. My Grade: D-

Please just go away Mon, Aug 14, 2006 at 01:42 PM EST

I heard that Paris was hurt and insulted when someone posted on her website that she was the equivalent of someone farting in a glove. I don't know what that is supposed to mean, exactly, but it seems strangely accurate.

PA Mon, Aug 14, 2006 at 01:38 PM EST

"This album is the same quality as the Pussycat Dolls, Jessica Simpson or some of Madonna stuff."

Sacrilege! You DARE to mention Madonna's name along with PCD, Jessica and Paris?!? The Queen of Pop will NOT be pleased. Off with his head!!! Ok, too dramatic but PLEASE don't mention Madonna along with those manufactured products.

ep sato Mon, Aug 14, 2006 at 01:34 PM EST

Jodie Watley is back? I am lookin' for some new love from this amazing artist!

As for Paris, she should stick to acting in horror movies as the "chick who dies early in the movie and everyone cheers".

Dawn Mon, Aug 14, 2006 at 01:30 PM EST

I was going to avoid listening to it, but then I decided I could use a laugh. Best track by far: her cover of "Do Ya Think I'm Sexy," the last track on the album. Just a warning though--don't have any sharp objects lying around, because you may want to use them to destroy your eardrums afterwards.

Tommy G. Mon, Aug 14, 2006 at 01:05 PM EST

There's not enough money in this world to get me to listen to Paris "sing". I'd rather listen to my cat howl instead. (Which will probably be more in tune and won't try to sell me perfume that smells like crotch.)

Martha Mon, Aug 14, 2006 at 01:02 PM EST

I'm going to do my ears a favor and skip listening to this train wreck. I'm also going to do my eyes a favor and scroll down from the hideous Paris photo in which she looks like a mannequin with partial facial paralysis. The faster this no-talent, no-beauty girl can exit the scene, the better for everyone.

Patrick Gray Mon, Aug 14, 2006 at 12:50 PM EST

This album is the same quality as the Pussycat Dolls, Jessica Simpson or some of Madonna stuff. Trust me this album will be huge and every single will burn up the charts. I think it's better than I thought it would be. I love I Want You and Nothing In This World. I'm buying the CD. It wouldn't get any Grammys and it sometimes sounds like Hal 3000 singing but who cares.

Tarjay Mon, Aug 14, 2006 at 12:49 PM EST

The worst thing about this is that probably the album, its singles and the accompanying videos will make it up the charts. Look at that dumb song from Brooke Hogan--it's been in VH1's Top 20 Countdown for a couple weeks now. So sad. If people keep watching, listening and buying, Paris will never go away.

kenny k Mon, Aug 14, 2006 at 12:47 PM EST

Who in their right mind would bother listening to much less PURCHASE a CD from this media whore?!This no-talent skank isn't worth the time to download...

Michael Mon, Aug 14, 2006 at 12:46 PM EST

Horrifying! Are people actually going to buy this? Jessica Simpson's songs arent much better either.
