Witches, kidnappers, apes, and Rob Dyrdek? Yep, this week has it all. Caesar and his crew will be taking over the box office with Dawn of the Planet of the Apes, while your DVR will be filled with everything from the magical to the hilarious to the incredibly violent. And for Divergent fans, this week is all about Four. Then again, isn’t every week?
Check out your pop culture schedule for the week:
Witches of East End, 9 p.m., Lifetime
Picking up just one week after the season one finale, season two’s premiere shows Joanna fighting for her life, Dash testing his new powers, and someone lurking in the woods. Needless to say, things are about to get a lot darker.
Finding Carter, 10 p.m., MTV
This new MTV series tells the story of a teenager who learns that the woman she grew up thinking was her mother is actually her kidnapper. We’ll stop there.
Four: A Divergent Collection on shelves
In a new novella from Veronica Roth, Divergent fans will get an inside look at Four’s story. We know what happened to Tris and what her life was like before Dauntless, but what don’t we know about the series’ hunk?
The Bridge, 10 p.m., FX
Season two picks up as Marco deals with the death of his son, while Sonya explores her relationship with the brother of her sister’s killer. But most importantly, new character Eleanor will likely change things for just about everyone.
Ridiculousness, 10 p.m., MTV
Rob Dyrdek is back with all the cringe-worthy videos you could ever need on a Thursday night.
Hemlock Grove, Netflix
With a new showrunner this season, changes are coming: Peter gets a job, Roman has to be a father, and a new girl in town will shake things up. But there’s one thing that will never change—fans can expect multiple bloodbaths.
Dawn of the Planet of the Apes in theaters
Ten years after the rebellion, Caesar and his apes are living in what seems to be a human-free world. Leave it to Gary Oldman to try to change that.
Ray Donovan, 9 p.m., Showtime
Fixer Ray Donovan finds himself in couples therapy in this season premiere, but don’t expect his life to have calmed down. With a new nemesis in town, played by Hank Azaria, Donovan will have to find a way to bring his dear old dad back from Mexico (and fast).
