[SPOILER ALERT: Read on only if you have already watched Wednesday’s episode of Survivor: Blood vs. Water]

Two people were eliminated from the game. Another was voted out of the tribe. Another was let back into the game. And there was also a merge. So, yeah, a mildly busy episode of Survivor: Blood vs. Water this evening. My full recap will be up at midnight, but here is all the pertinent info:

• Laura Morett won the final pre-merge Redemption Island duel, earning her way back into the game after she hung on to a big pole the longest. John Cody and Lauren Boneham were both eliminated when they lost. Later, skaters!

• Two tribes became one when the players merged right after the Redemption Island duel. This led to a big power play between Aras (who was looking to vote Laura out for the second time this season) and Tyson (who wanted to blindside the man he dubbed “Sir Aras”). This left Gervase in the middle as the ultimate swing vote. Would he side with his original ally Aras, or his new partner-in-coconut-crime Tyson?

• Gervase chose Team Tyson and helped vote Aras off the tribe and to Redemption Island, where he will fight to stay alive and re-enter the game. It also puts a bit of egg on Vytas’ face, coming just after Aras’ brother proclaimed that, “Blood vs. Water should really in the end be called Vytas vs. Aras because we would have to be real stupid to not get to the end.” Or, maybe they just stick with Blood vs. Water for now. Just a thought.

My full recap will be up at midnight [UPDATE: Dalton's recap is now live!], but you can sound off right here and right now on the episode. Also make sure to check out our pre-game interviews with Aras/Vytas and John/Candice in the video player below. You can also read our exclusive merge interview with Aras and Vytas.
