It’s a short work week, but that doesn’t mean it’s short on entertainment to keep you busy over the long holiday weekend! The week starts off with the AMAs on Sunday and keeps rolling with a videogame platform release, a slew of new movies to keep you and your family occupied, and of course the annual Macy’s parade. Now let’s talk turkey, happy Thanksgiving!

Sunday
American Music Awards, 8 p.m. ABC

The American Music Awards air live on ABC Sunday night and feature a bunch of sure to be hit performances, including Stevie Wonder’s tribute to Dick Clark and a Gangnam Style rendition from South Korean viral hitmaker Psy. EW will be on the carpet and we’ll fill you in on all the style and showmanship during the night.

Monday
Nintendo’s Wii U

If you were wondering if there was a need in the market for a videogame console with a second screen, look no further. Nintendo’s latest entry is the Wii U, which features a tablet-style controller and HD graphics. It’s out this week with a slew of games to go with it, just in time for the holiday rush.

Tuesday
Unapologetic (Rihanna) released

There’s been lots of speculation about Rihanna’s personal life of late, but it’s her new album that has sparked the buzz. Check out the pop star’s latest tunes and decide for yourself. If you can get that “Diamonds” single out of your head first, anyway.

Wednesday
Life of Pi opens in theaters

Oscar buzz has been building all year around Ang Lee’s adaptation of best-selling novel Life of Pi. Sweeping images from the trailer and an IMAX release promise intense visuals and a good choice for Thanksgiving weekend. For the kids, Dreamworks’ Rise of the Guardians also hits theaters Wednesday to take advantage of the long holiday weekend.

Thursday
Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, 9 a.m. NBC

It just wouldn’t be Thanksgiving without Macy’s annual Thanksgiving Day parade — in its 80th year– live from Herald Square. Snoopy, Frosty the Snowman, and a host of Broadway showtunes and holiday songs make great background noise for when you’re finishing making that pie crust. Happy Thanksgiving!

Friday
Hitchcock out in theaters

Anthony Hopkins stars as scare-master Alfred Hitchcock and Helen Mirren co-stars as his wife Alma in this biopic about the making of his classic horror movie, Psycho.

Saturday
Small Business Saturday

If you didn’t get all your major shopping in during the Black Friday sales, consider supporting Small Business Saturday – maybe your local independent bookstore has something fun to curl up with during the long holiday weekend.

Sunday

The Biebs himself is gracing Oprah’s couch on Sunday during a conversation about his music and what it’s like to be Justin Bieber. Will we get the full scoop on the Selena Gomez split? One can only hope.
