'Big Brother': America's choice revealed! Did the coaches rejoin the game?

Shane made a gamechanging move on last night’s Big Brother, putting his main competitor (and supposed ally) Frank up on the block. But in tonight’s elimination episode, Frank’s final fate took a back seat to a far more important question: Would America vote to allow the four coaches to join the game as regular players? And, if so, would any of the coaches rise to the occasion? Well, the votes are in, and [SPOILER ALERT] Julie Chen told the coaches that yes, America wanted to give them the chance to re-enter the game. [UPDATE: My full recap of the episode's shenanigans is live!]

Here’s where things got interesting. If the coaches entered the game, then nobody would be evicted: Instead, the houseguests would proceed to the HoH competition, now with four more players in contention. (If they didn’t enter the game, then some previously evicted players would join next week.) And, in an even more interesting twist, if even one of the coaches wanted to rejoin the game, everyone would. Each coach went into the diary room and was offered the chance to hit the reset button. Britney looked nervous but hit the button; Dan and Janelle both looked ready to rejoin. Only Boogie didn’t hit the reset button — further proof, perhaps, that the Big Brother legend has lost some of his hunger for the game.

I couldn’t be more excited. This throws the balance of power in the Big Brother house into complete disarray. Will the coaches maintain their power over their players? Or will they become targets? Check out my full recap here, or talk about the twist below!
