Harry Potter star Rupert Grint carried the Olympic torch for a leg through northwest London today.
The AP reports that 23-year-old Grint started his turn at Middlesex University and was mobbed as he finished his run.
“I don’t usually run for anything, but it was all downhill so I was OK,” he said. “It was all a bit of a blur. I’m just so proud to be a part of it.”
Doesn’t run? Clearly Grint has never watched the Potter films since starring in them, which have him running from a dragon, spiders, and Nagini, just to name a few.
With any luck, this is only the beginning of the Harry Potter-related Olympic fun. If the rumors are true, Danny Boyle’s opening ceremony will feature Lord Voldemort battling Mary Poppins.
Mischief officially managed, London.
