Is that Hector in that wheelchair, being pushed the aisle by a Los Pollos Hermanos chicken? Ding ding!
At the Breaking Bad season 4 wrap party, Bryan Cranston dressed as everyone’s favorite elderly Mexican cartel member, Hector “Tio” Salamanca, while his co-star Aaron Paul made like one of Gus Fring’s zesty little winged creatures. (Check out more photos here.) Apparently, the cast dresses up every year. Among photos from the season 2 wrap party, I spotted one where Cranston poses as Jesse, and another where Paul poses as Walter. And during the season 3 wrap party, Cranston and Paul made a pretty great Skyler and Jane.
But it’s that wild, eye-bulge expression in Cranton’s eyes that makes his Hector my all-time favorite, officially beating the previous title-winner for best Breaking Bad costume ever, the (VERYÂ SPOILER-y!) Gus Fring mask. If I had Hector’s letter board, I’d spell out “A-M-A-Z-I-N-G.”
Look me in the eye, Hector. LOOK AT ME!

Sometimes when I’m watching Breaking Bad I get random memories of scenes from Malcolm in the Middle popping into my brain. Most frequently the episode where Hal taught Malcolm to skate. How did Bryan Cranston go from Hal to Walter White so seamlessly?!
I don’t see that at all! Same way I do not think of David Fisher when I watch Dexter. That’s because Bryan Cranston and Michael C. Hall are amazing actors.
Definitely this! There’s not an ounce of David Fisher in Dexter Morgan.
This is my favorite thing I have seen in a long time
So awesome!
This and “The Wire” stand alone. Gilligan is a master.
Awesome. Malcolm in the middle is by far the greatest sitcom ever made. Seasons 3-6 in particular, thend the 2nd half of season seven. seasons 1 and 2 were pretty good, just not quite as. but the first half of season 7 was AWFUL! But the 2nd half was just as good again. Look, even in the defined areas, there are some bad episodes./ but at its best, very few, if any, shows can beat it. Breaking Bad, Boomtown, King of the Hill, The Wire, Trailer Park Boys. But Breaking Bad is AMAZING!!!!!!!!
Wait, what? The first two season of Malcolm in the Middle were easily the best. Easily. Just look at “Bowling” – a masterpiece. It got substantially worse during the last three seasons (by no means “bad, though”).
Breaking Bad is pure genius, like Walt! I can’t wait until season 5 to see how they can possibly continue and end the saga of Walt and Jesse. And of course ,Hank, the ever-nosey cop will somehow figure it out but will probably not prosecute Walt because he’ll die from his cancer. But it sure will be most interesting to see. I have loved Breaking Bad from the beginning and I’m sure Bryan Cranston will be offered lots more movie rolls!
