I have seen other articles on this subject before, however, they pale in comparison to the way this article was written. You have great insight.
People need to quit getting offended at everything. Comedy is a lot of the time about making fun of a group of people. So suck it up and get over it. This whole society is too touchy feely aobut stuff like that nowadays.

Have tried watching the show several times, in spite of the LAUGH TRACK. But it is so offensive I’ve given up. Too bad, I thought, but judging by several of the comments here, maybe I’m not missing anything.
Dude you need to relax there are a million things much worse than this joke ! And it’s not your fault you are gay, God just messed up while he was making you… Sorry**… but the beautiful thing about television is you have the power to change the channel. Honestly you should embrace the joke, it’s a great example of freedom of speech. It gives you the right to celebrate your life style, in other countries it is not the same. Take a look at what other Gays and Lesbians deal with in other countries before you get so upset about a little gay joke. And Alan was playing his character, get upset with the writers! Why does everyone attack the actors when this kind of stuff happens, he didn’t write the script. So don’t hate, thats the problem with the world everyone hates/ is jealous of how they are different from someone, it’s sad and sucks. we need more PEACE N LOVE ** (that was my attempt at a gay joke; probably got your blood boiling)
