Update: Annie’s recap is live. Don’t click through if you don’t want to know! After a results show featuring Demi Lovato, The Script, and a Macy’s Stars of Dance performance I actually liked (the chances?!), the couple heading home from Dancing With the Stars with no hope of eventually secreting sparkles in their hard-earned sweat (ewwww)…. is…. coming up, after the break!

Elisabetta Canalis and her partner Val Chmerkovskiy were eliminated Tuesday night.

Did the right pair go home?

Come back later for my full results-show recap, and in the meantime dig into this fresh and funky pile of Hidden Gems!

Yes! For a model she really had no rhythm . She was a bit stubborn and seemed to not want to work hard.

    • lisa g.

how did she get george ? she has a wolf face !

      • Squishmar

I know! She’s really not that attractive… and she is wayyyyy too skinny.

    • R@mis

Since when are models known for having ritmo?

  • Jiji Moran

Elisabetta improved this week, but I’m guessing her personality did her in.

In my opinion, Chaz should’ve gone home, since he practically got carried around by Lacey through the whole routine.

    • Matt

She also was unknown in the US so had no fan base…plus she had a new pro dancer…also with no fan base (note how last week’s eliminee was also a new dancer) People like Derek, Mark, Maks, Tony have their own fan bases built in -

      • Pisces228

I definitely think that Val can build a fan base if given the chance. But that chance equates to a partner with a winning personality that people will want to root for. I like Val, but found it hard to root for Elizabeta because she had a bland personality. If Val had Ricki or Chynna as his partner, he would have stayed around a lot longer.

AGREE! Chaz should have gotten the big boot. He did not dance at all. Just a slow walk around the dance floor. It was sad and laughable at the same time to watch. Okay it was pathetic! If it wasn’t for ABC fixing things to keep him on for the controversy and Cheer fans, he would have been gone last week.

I,too, think Chaz should have gone home—B U T he is–OH WELL. Poor Baby :-[ Maybe he will go this week NOT He has FANS!!!!

  • Amanda

She didn’t come across as likable at all. Plus, you can’t have sex with George Clooney and win that mirror ball trophy, too.

    • EPZ

      AMEN!

    • Lori R

      LOL!

    • Dark Defender

Great point. You only hit the jackpot once… Her time is up.

  • mcprophet

Awww arivaderci Elisabetta! I think her biggest demerit was the fact that she had issues relating to the viewers, either with the language barrier or the obvious friction between her and Val. She wasn’t the WORST dancer, but we knew her days were numbered.

  • Dawn

Yeah right call. She sux and she is not a star. Shes ugly. IDK why Clooney ever went out with her.

    • jen

      Because they had a contract.

      • claudenorth

You are now my favorite person ever! :)

  • Marie Partida

Glad she is gone. She did not want to be there. She is a very sore sport.

  • Alice

No the wrong person went home.

  • sv

Totally predictable. She just wasn’t really likable. The only real surprise of the night was in that they actually revealed the bottom 2, and much to my surprise, David Arquette was alongside Elisabetta. Am I the only one who thinks that they decided to reveal the actual bottom 2 this week in hopes of getting David more votes from here on out? Seems a bit shady to me.

    • Genie

Yes I think so too, but this time I’m happy they are manipulating the audience. David just needs to chill and not try to create a “moment”, those things just happen. I hope he does much better next week.

  • JT

DWTS is a popularity contest and even though Elisabetta got good scores , she was not known in this country. Chaz has a lot LGBT support…and Rob has the Kardashian twitter fanatics. Im glad Nancy & Arquette stayed.

  • Snark

    Well, she’s no Stacy Kiebler.

    • Monica

      haha :)

      You mean @HR4girl? Don’t 4get the @ sign!

  • KIM

Is it a coincidence that a pop-up movie ad starring George Clooney covered the page when I opened it?

  • lu

I’m rooting for Chynna, Ricki, and AJ. Elisabetta is probably a nice person, but she had low charisma, and the European aspect doesn’t impress American viewers

  • Jon Scholl

You don’t understand, they’re keeping Chaz on for the ratings.

    • Mellissa

Well, yes, but it is a TV show, so that’s understandable. Plus, Chaz seems to be a likeable kind of person, and just based on this board (and my own observation), Elizabetta didn’t seem as likeable. It makes sense.

    • Enigma

      Well, duh!!!

I wish I could find the article with the quote but last season, during Bristol Palin’s long run, the show’s producer defended her being on by saying that it is more of an entertainment show than a dance contest. Excuse me? Then what is the point of having judges and the audience vote. Why not call it “Circus of The Stars” then?

  • Hudson

Won’t miss her. Don’t really see what George saw in her, other than just a ? I am surprised that Chas is still in, though, with his knee problems. Here’s what I don’t understand. As viewers, we get to see some of the rigors of practicing. It has to be hard and tough since folks lose weight. What would make someone with knee problems even consider this? Yeah, does not make sense to me.

    • lu

Money is always a big motivator, no? and the publicity will help his speaking career
