Offended Gleeks apparently expressed their displease on Twitter, because the 20-year-old star defended herself online with a frenzy of Tweets but refused to apologize for her remarks: “Ok. I’m addressing this Lea thing … I did not intend for my comments to be taken in a malicious way … In no way am I jealous of Lea Michelle. I’m happy with my own life and am not jealous of anyone elses n the world … Congrats Lea. U know how to work the red carpet. I can’t take it as seriously as you. That’s all I wanted to show on FP. It’s strange to me … I can’t take myself that seriously. I don’t like the red carpet. I feel silly. So props to her for knowing what she’s doing and enjoying it … I’ll be talking more about this at the Emmys tomorrow if y’all don’t believe me and want to hear it from me outloud … But I won’t apologize. I’m an outspoken person. I own what I said about that outfit. And I mimicked what I saw with my own two eyes … The end. Tune into the red carpet tmrw!

I’ve done a little homework, and Michele does take her red carpet seriously. Very seriously. (Scroll to 13:53.) But she’s hardly the only actor to do so. Even Hyland has some game. Since I’m forcing myself to care about this, I’d say Hyland might want to apologize.

Why would Sarah respond to this. I’m a Modern Family fan, I don’t watch Glee and I don’t know much about Lea Michele but it’s not like she’s hurting anyone doing those pose things she does. I kind of laugh and roll my eyes at it but live and let live. Sarah needs to stop and get on with things.
Huh? She was a guest on Fashion Police so she commented as asked to. Gleeks hunted her down and she simply acknowledged their outrage. She could have backed down and apologised scared of all those rabid fans, or could have ignored it and pretended that it never happened. I think she took the high road here. Nothing wrong with her reaction.
I think taking the high road would be not commenting at all, she made it worse. Celebrities get hate tweets on Twitter all the time, suck it up and deal with it, it comes with the territory. The way she addressed it just made herself sound immature and petty. The backhanded compliments “good for you, you care about dumb things,” were in poor taste.
I’m a huge Gleek and I love Lea Michele but I thought Sarah’s impression was funny–because it’s true. When she started calling her strange at the end, it sounded a little more personal and that’s when I think a lot of people took offense. She should have just quit while she was ahead. Lea definitely is a poser but maybe some people should take note cause I’ve never seen a bad red carpet picture of her. She always looks beautiful in pictures and that’s the whole point.
Everybody has a point here. But is it really that big of a deal to turn it into some type of feud? I feel like that’s the intention of this article. Quite juvenile.

the whole point of Fashion Police is to mock people. it seems those fans tweeting Sarah dont have much of a sense of humour. harrassment is NOT the same thing as expressing an opinion.
I agree with her, but kind of foolish to pick on the main cast member of one of the world’s biggest shows at the moment.
One of the world biggest show? In what world are you living right now. The world biggest show is AI, AGT, X-factor, DWTS Glee cant even muster half the the viewership of those programs. Hell, even The Good Wife have bigger audiences.

The Good Wife? I seriously doubt The Good Wife could handle its own sold-out International stadium tour or a Post-Superbowl episode. I’m pretty sure Glee is bigger than the Good Wife. Nice try though.

World’s biggest shows? Who are you kidding with this? Glee is sinking and fast. The 3D movie tanked and the will they graduate some of the main characters/give some of them their own spinoff controversy over the summer did not help matters. Watch the ratings plummet this season.
Sure, concerts are easy to sold out when you’re looking for 40k audiences (even kid rock still raking getting sold out events) but movies is a real indicator on how many normal people are interested. Glee canceled opening in numerous countries and going straight to video after tanking at the US box office
Glee IS one of the biggest shows at the moment. They are like an empire. They’ve dominated tv, they have sold out concerts, and because of that, they got a movie. They have influenced a lot. Whether you are a fan or not, it is definitely one of the biggest things in the tv industry.
Actually Modern Family is more succesful than glee, just look at the demo and overall ratings from this past season. Modern Family is the number 1 scripted show and it trumped glee in the total audience numbers. Oh, not to mention the amount of awards it won!

And as far as X-Factor goes, it IS ALREADY one of the most watched shows or franchises in the ENTIRE WORLD. America is not the only place, you know. It is EXTREMELY popular in Europe and other places and has launched the careers of Leona Lewis, Leon Jackson and others. Get your facts straight.

Dont get the controversy. She’s totally right, Lea looks gorgeous on the red carpet but her poses, OMG she totally does the I’m sosexy poses. She is a huge poser. I havent read much about Sarah but I like her – she has the guts to say what we’re all thinking and even with rabid gleeks after her she won’t apologise for talking her mind. Go Sarah!

I think Lea’s first time on the red carpet she got ripped a new one by Joan Rivers. The next time Lea nailed it. Joan probably took credit for educating her. If you actually cared to research these things you would know that ALL of the Glee cast take on characters when posing on the red carpet. They have said so in many interviews.
They have the skinny girl pose, the Lea Michele pose, the cover girl/boy pose, the diva pose.
It is ll a game to them and they are having fun on the red carpet. To such a thing like that and then turn around and basically say “I’m not sorry and I am better” was uncalled for.
If Lea Michele said the EXACT same thing about Sarah, everyone in the press and all the fans would be jumping on her and saying how she is such a diva and a bitch etc etc.
Sarah needs to get off her high horse and realize that she isn’t the best thing since sliced bread. Normally they give you a list of questions or topics you are going to have to answer on those shows, so she would have had an idea of what they were going to ask, thus giving herself time to think of appropriate answers.
There is no way she could have come up with that response just from glancing quickly at Lea’s red carpet photos. She knew what was gonna be asked and she knew exactly what she was going to say.
