It’s difficult to be comfortable with the sight of the World Trade Center in any old motion picture — the image itself has become synonymous with mass pain and suffering in our still-fragile nation — but a filmmaker named Dan Meth has compiled a lovely tribute to the Twin Towers on film since they opened in 1973. Check out the video below of the Towers’ cameos in films like King Kong, Superman, Working Girl, Home Alone 2, Men In Black, and, as seen left, Escape From New York. [Gawker]

Don’t forget about all of the T.V. shows they were in. SVU, CSI-NY to name a couple.
Friends showed the towers a lot too!
No Remember Me?
Guess that movie will have to make do with a “most tasteless use of Twin towers” video montage.
And the unfinished towers in Godspell.
Yes!!!
Did not think that was very well edited!
And then there was their appearance in Speilberg’s AI which was released a couple months before 9/11. What made that appearance so eerie was that they were deplicted to still be standing in the future, even thousands of years from now.

Jason, you’re HILARIOUS! Let’s make it!
You’re an idiot. No one believes you.
The season 1 finale of Fringe (TV I know) was truly shocking in the best possible way!
great video but they left out my favorite Twin Towers cameo: Gangs of New York.
Also forgot Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles! Opening of that movie was a perfect shot!
Can’t forget the first movie trailer to Spiderman, which was later pulled for obvious reasons…..just the thought of a giant web between the two towers was awesome.
Could have picked some cartoons : they appear repeatedly in Oliver & Company… Great video anyway !!
Friends!
He also forgot the scene towards the end of “Sleepless in Seattle” when M. Ryan’s character is having dinner with B. Pullman’s character and they look out the window as the heart appears on the Empire State Bldg. The Towers appear in the background, since they’re having at the Four Seasons. And ‘c’ you’re right it was poorly edited.
No “Someone Like You”, when the real estate agent actually points them out and says “You can see all the way down to the World Trade Center!”
Wait, you mean this isn’t about Tim Duncan and David Robinson? Deception!
