'Covert Affairs': Are Auggie and Annie the new Booth and Brennan, Castle and Beckett -- only less frustrating?

On this week’s Covert Affairs, we learned more than our individual tolerance of jazz when Auggie traveled to Istanbul for a music festival, and how Read the full post.

I have loved “Covert Affairs” since day one, episode one, and at no time have I wanted Annie and Auggie together. I just don’t see it, but my God, why does everybody have to ALWAYS be in a relationship together when they just happen to have a good working relationship together?

It’s getting really old. Why can’t they just be really good friends and just that? That’s what I see, and anything more than that would ruin it for me.

I love Annie. I love Auggie. And I love Annie and Auggie’s working relationship/friendship together. But, no, on any romantic relationships. I find their own separate relationships/potential ones more entertaining.

Oh and I would have enjoyed “Castle” more this whole time if the show had just started out with them in a relationship. You’ve always known they would, so anything less, other relationships, the whole will they/won’t they has become exhausting, and since they already seem like they’re together, anyway, how is the show really going to change? It would have been far more interesting had they been together already, ala Hart to Hart or something like that.

I can totally see Auggie and Annie together eventually. What I like about what I’m seeing right now is that they are friends, very good friends. They joke, they laugh, they confide, and you can tell that they really care about each other. This is much like Harm and Mac in seasons 2,3 and 4 of JAG when the caring and trust develops between them. Auggie and Annie are much the same. They have become a part of each others daily lives and they’re already afraid of losing that and each other. This becomes apparent when Auggie gets his promotion. Auggie worries about Annie too. I can see this definitely turning into something more. Right now I think that they have the most meaningful relationship so far. I would love to sit back and watch their friendship grow and slowly become something more possibly without them realizing it at first. I think the key is to make sure that there is not too much tension, too fast, for too long.

I think there is a sexy vibe between Auggie and Annie, but no romantic chemistry. I think they should become friends with benefits.

Also, I think Jai is so handsome and H-O-T. If Annie isn’t interested, send him my way. ;)

Annie works best with the other spy – the guy she worked with in Paris (can’t remember his name) – now that was chemistry

Great article. I can¡¯t wait to hear more about your research tool. If it is as good as your other products, then you will have another winner. Your article pretty much summed up what I have been seeing too. Great to see some hard data.

I like Auggie and Annie, but think if they get together too soon people wont be as interested…. I still believe the best show for making fans wait until the very end was JAG. It wasn’t til the last episode of the last season that they finally got together.
