Women's World Cup soccer: Hope Solo is a total freakin' rock star

It would be poetic justice if people put the blame for this lost on Hope Sole for her letting Japan tied the game with a few minutes left, and the 3pk’s got pass her. Maybe she will know how Briana Scurry fell when she rip her apart four years ago.
Dalton, I’m guessing you know diddly about soccer and sports in general. Leading up to the WWC the US played poorly and barely squeeked in. They improved once the tournament started however, they lost to Sweden, were outplayed by France, but got lucky and ignored what Japan was doing in the meantime: beating all of the other good teams in the tournament. The US team was arrogant enough to assume they would win. In sports that just motivates your opponent. Solo should have keep her opinions to herself. The US team will have to replace some of there older players soon. Meanwhile, the rest of the world’s teams are closing the gap in terms of talent. The US team won’t win at the Olympic Games nor at the next WWC. Sorry to rain on your jingoistic, cheerleading parade.

The American women’s team are a disgrace to sportsmanship and always have been- yuk!
She’s not that good. She’s ok, but not fantastic. There were many better keepers in the tournament this year.
Not many, goalkeepers are a notoriously weak spot in womens football, but there were a few.
it was not meant to be because abby played every minute. she did nothing to create goals, everyone had to bust their behind to get her the ball. no goals from her foot and nothing until the game was late. she is a great player but her minutes played vs goals sucked! compare it to morgan’s time on the field. for me the coach was lucky to make it to the of the world cup and was OUT coached in the final game.
