'South Park' meets the (NSFW) 'Human Centipede' in Wednesday's season premiere

There was a time — let’s call it “two weeks ago” — when the only people interested in The Human Centipede were humorous musicals writers, parodical video game constructors, eccentric foot tattoo devotees, tongue-in-cheek sock monkey manufacturers, the folks over at Funnyordie.com, and fans of extreme horror. But this twisted 2010 tale of a crazy German surgeon who stitches together three unfortunate victims to form a, yes, “human centipede” has now invaded mainstream TV comedy.

The recent “I Heart Connecticut” episode of 30 Rock featured not one but two references to director Tom Six’s demented movie, the second of which found a cast member using “centipede” as a verb. (“Alright, let’s move on to the scene in which Slaughterface centipedes Jenna to the docent of the Danbury Railway Museum.”). Now, Comedy Central has announced that this Wednesday’s premiere of the new South Park season will be called “HUMANCENTiPAD” and has Kyle becoming “intimately” involved in the launch of a new Apple product. The network has also released a clip which, like pretty much else connected with what I’ve unilaterally decided to start calling “the ‘Pede,” is NSFW.

But if you’re not at work — or feel unconstrained by the shackles of employment-based “suitability” — feel free to check it out and tell us what you think.

  • Josh

I was hoping for a Charlie Sheen episode.

    • LOL

      Soon enough, grasshopper.

    • Mike

      It will come, no doubt.

Don’t forget about Communities Zombie/Halloween episode last October when the Dean’s playlist said “Rent that movie with Greg Kinnear where he plays a ghost . . . no wait an angel. And the Human Centip” end scene.

  • Sara

It’s actually “docene of the Danbury Railway Museum”.

    • Clark Collis

Many thanks. Although, having looked into the matter—and at the risk of being wrong again—I think it’s actually “docent.”

    • abadstroller

“Docent”. Just looked it up. It means “tourist guide”.

Ugh, this is still on? It hasn’t been funny for years. The formula nowadays is: spoof popular culture that nobody will remember in 10 years. Add a lame joke that’s repeated ad nauseum throughout the half our, tack on a heavy-handed political message at the end, and voila!

    • blah

Well that proves you don’t watch south park and is speaking on things you do not know about.so until you watch all episodes of south park then your opinion MAY be of some sort of value.until then quit trying to be a killjoy for fans.

You didn’t know the show was still on but yo somehow know it hasn’t been funny in years? That’s some mighty specious logic…

I think Radzinsky needs his creme fraiche. Or shake weight.

I saw a couple episodes from season… 14 or 15 I think. So obviously I knew it was on, but I didn’t know they’re STILL coming out with episodes of this sh/t.

    • Andrew

Wow, are you kidding? If anything, this show has improved greatly and stayed pretty much on the mark since some of those especially painful early seasons.

      • Radzinsky

LOL. The show has gotten progressively worse, with overly refined CG animation that goes completely against the more charmingly hand-crafted look of the show’s early days, not to mention the majority of episodes since season 7 or so have been heavy-handed, redundant, and/or centered around some stale pop culture reference that a third grader could have come up with.

    • hmm

feels like you’ve mixed up south park with family guy

  • B.Hussein

No mention of Daniel Tosh’s contribution to the popularity of this craptastic modern classic?? For shame EW.

  • This show isn’t timely anymore. At all. Human Centipede has been out for a while and last season, they had an Inception episode, a Jersey Shore episode, and a Tiger Woods episode by the time all three topics were very, very dry. Trey and Matt really don’t care anymore, if they ever did.

  • kim in kentucky

LAWD – there’s no escaping this movie!

  • Miranda Harry

I wish i didn’t think this was sexist as sh#t! Why does even the asian dude get to be an “A” over both the chicks? If I were making a g*&dam& horror movie I’d want the white men everywhere to quake in their diapers! If you had done that I’d claim you had an original idea. sexism is just that no matter how you centipede it YOU F%#K!!

    • Dc

because with the man in front and a girl in the back it is capable of both forms of reproduction
