New orleans is a wonderful town. But if you want to drink and get drunk no problem; as long as you can pick up the glass they will serve you another drink. Mr Cage looks to me like he is very unhappy and just don’t give a dang anymore that’s sad.

This guy is so talented but he’s obviously been struggling for quite a while. Tragic.

Good lord. Well, that sure paints a picture.

How did your weekend go Nicolas Cage? Oh, I see it is like your career going down the drain. Maybe you should make another National Treasure movie so can find yourself again.

What a pig. “You’re a contender” to the ladies at the table? I thought he was married? Yuck and yuck. No, I don’t feel sorry for him. I hope he gets help but since he thinks he’s all that he won’t.

I was part of the film crew on Leaving Las Vegas. Cage was drunk for much of the movie shoot. Even had a “drinking coach” (a poet and family friend) with him between takes (and after hours). As a result, on several occasions he hurt himself, and we were limited to a single take (mostly during the interior Casino shoots in Laughlin, not Vegas). But hey, he won an Oscar, for his “acting”.

Our son, who is now about 37 years old, one day half jokingly said to me,”Dad, I have never seen you drunk!” I thought it a funny comment, laughed and replied: “And I hope you never do”. I’m thinking that may have been a real compliment when I read about Cage, Sheen, and their ilk. Too much easy money, perhaps? Not that it costs a lot to make a fool of oneself.

He used to be one of my favourite actors, but ever since Con Air he has chosen crappy roles. His “I’m here” behaviour is typical of an actor who has been catered to for way too long.

I hope he gets humbled by this and snaps out of his fake world.

    I still like him.

Sir, in Jim Nelson’s GQ letter from the editor and the Erin letter ….re Erin calling Cage’s wife Vietnamese….last time I checked, she was Korean-American…born in USA. Can you correct that in her letter online or at least add a (sic) after her use of the word Vietnaese. Erin is course forgiven, for how was she to know Mrs Cage’s ethnic origin, if she had not read the papers the last few years. But Mrs Cage is not Vietnamese, she is Korean-American. can you fix that minor gaffe? Thanks. Danny in Taiwan.

Erin wrote to Jim Nelson at GQ: “Allison looked closer and noticed that the couple was Nicolas Cage and his Vietnamese wife….” In fact, Erin, and Mr Nelson, Cage’s wife is not Vietnamese and GQ should correct this faux pas for posterity’s archives of the magazine, no? Mrs Cage is Korean, Korean-American, as American as apple pie, born in the USA.

Nic Cage looks like he was beat with an ugly stick on his forehead. That’s why he’s stumbling around all woozy, then getting drunk. If I looked like him, I’d need to be drunk all day too.

COmmenter on other blog says..”Definitely he needs to dump Alice Kim – she’s big trouble – I know from a very good friend who is also friends with Nic and she’s the one who has bankrupted him. Everyone warned him and he did not listen. He needs to dump her and move on to get back on the path of freedom and success.

How sad! I remember his performance in City of Angels and he was brilliant. What happened to him?

Is GQ the bible of magazines? Don’t believe everything you read in the press. Nicholas Cage is still a good actor, much better than Charlie Sheen, who a lot of people here seem to be comparing him to. So he had too much to drink, big deal! What is Mardi Gras about, partying and drinking??
