Grab your popcorn: After last night’s fairly entertaining Songs from the Cinema night, we’re about to find out who is still in the running to have a happy Idol ending, and whose journey is about to be stamped with a brutal “Fin.” Based on your votes earlier today, you all think Paul McDonald, Haley Reinhart, and Jacob Lusk are headed to the bottom three. I can’t help but think that Stefano will somehow eke his way into the bottom, especially since any Idol contestant who sings a song called “The End of the Road” seems destined for elimination. Just like when poor Charles Grigsby was eliminated in season 2 after performing “You Can’t Win” from The Wiz. But perhaps he’ll make like season 5′s Elliott Yamin, who surprisingly outlasted frontrunners Chris Daughtry and Paris Bennett, even after singing “Home,” a song by Michael Bublé whose lyrics literally read, “I just want to go home.” But let’s tune in to see who is right! As we know from last week, anything can happen! Will this be another shocking elimination? What will The Most Beautiful Woman in the World think? Doubtful unlike people in the past who where eliminated too soon (Jennifer Hudson, Chris Daughtery, Melinda DooLittle, Carly Smithson and Allison Iraheta) she didn’t have much personality. People need to let it go, she’s technically a good singer but the girl could not emote to save her life.
Ha, I love the idea of a Pia-haunted Idoldome. But she’ll be actually playing stadiums for us fans who thought she had plenty of personality — charm, humility, humor — and, much more importantly, KILLER PIPES.

What did Pia have that a million other singers don’t? The only place she’ll be singing at is fairgrounds and cruise liners. Oh, maybe weddings.

Joe Strummer – Perfect Pia’s day job is beautician, night job is wedding singer. She has been doing weddings with her wedding band for many years when not trying out for auditions with beauty pageants, NYC music producers or Broadway, or Idol. All without much luck..Wiki said this was her 5th time as an Idol wannabe contestant. Rejected by Cowell as boring. Last fail was Season 9, in Top 24, her highest rise in 4 tries, when, besides the 12 selected over her inc Lacey and Paige…whe was no part of the conversation about the 3 really good talents missed. Alex Lambert, Katelyn Epperly, and Lily Scott.
She won’t be missed that long. You will probably see her in beauty pageant tryouts and will be able to hire her as a well-compensated wedding singer in a few years once the Idol fluff ends.
U r exactly right! Pia will go down in history as the SHOULD HAVE BEEN WINNER … her talent was so obvious to all who have an ear for TRUE TALENT!!!
Petra, that is so rude…Pia will certainly not end up like that…she has a great voice and will probably come out with an album soon after Idol.

I totally agree. He sings well but when he takes that step back and puts the microphone up next to his shoulder and holds it with dainty hands….it drives me crazy. It looks so dumb. They need to break him of that.

This could have been one of the best seasons of Idol because of the talent. It could have been up there with Season 8. The judges have ruined that by watering down all the performances and saying they all are great geniuses. Like they say in THE INCREDIBLES,”When everyone is special, then no one is special.”
I agree with you 100%. How could the judges not call Jacob out on his pitchy performance? He sounded like screechy cats. And Casey–he was pitchy too. I’m surprised no one told Paul that his performance belonged in a karaoke bar. I don’t even bother watching AI anymore. I just read the recaps.
I don’t agree. Season 8 was great because of the standouts like Lambert, Allison and Kris. There was a LOT of mediocre talent but these three were BRILLIANT. THis season everyone is at the same level. I might not like Scotty’s style of country but I recognize that he is good in his genre. Same can be said of Jacob (Gospel), Lauren (Country) and Stefano (80′s boy band pop). There isn’t a front runner… no one to fight for and that is a BIG problem. The judges are lame and the producers are worse.
To Allie”: Do you read these boards? There are more “fights” over these contestants than in any season ever. Everybody has their favorite (or two) and it’s never the same as the next person. This is the most subjective year yet. 95% of the people have very strong opinions about every single contestant.

Oops disregard my other comment- I can’t get it erased! Lol but I so agree! The judges act like everyone is the greatest thing to hit the idol stage so it’s no wonder pia went so soon. When randy does try to critique he gets interrupted by JLo! I’m not a country fan but I can’t help but root for him Some. I HATED Casey’s song but he’s probably my 2nd fav. I absolutely love James & can’t wait to see him every week. Just wish judges would call out contestants like jacab for being way sharp about every time he sings! Stefano is just plain boring, Paul was awful! James was the only 1 to catch my attn, however, i luv that type of music. Not everyone’s cup of tea. Still hoping for a win though! Just wish the judges would do their job!
I know, and am I the only one who thinks Scotty must believe he’s playing a flute instead of holding a microphone? Why else would he hold the mic that way? You don’t see anyone else in the entertainment industry hold the mic in that fashion do you? weird.

because the people who run the show think they can manage to mold her into a country music sales engine and apparently people in middle and southern US are most likely to see the idol tour and buy songs. So they probably see her now as the best $$ for themselves.
Because yeah they talk about otherwise being boring or karaoke or only singing ballads but never her. I mean her voice isn’t too bad but she seems to young to know how to sync it to emotions, ever.
yeeee, when I said all girls–I meant out of all the girls in the top 13. In my opinion, she was the most fun girl.
Wow Casey and Haley were just totally awesome right now. I do see a bit why the judges wished she had done more like this now but that said it was so unfair how negatively they put it when they soft pedal everything everyone else does. REALLY annoying. TOnight just showed again why she deserves so much to stay! That was insane!
I am thinking maybe the judges opinions do matter to Americans, maybe we really are sheep. Haley was criticized and she is in the bottom 3. The judges gave Casey a standing ovation and he is safe.
Yeah and last time Pia was the only when they got even slightly negative on and boom she was gone. It’s just so unfair since they go so soft on everyone but the girls when it comes to any criticism and Haley they always put it in the most negative. They should are such wimps towards all of the guys, especially. Either just call everyone the best thing ever or give out the advice in a fair and even basis across the board!

So much more interesting than some who never end up or rarely so, in the bottom three. It’s not just that she is mad cute she can totally bring it and in such crazy interesting ways.
That’s what I love about Haley. Her voice is so interesting & versatile – yet powerful and beautiful. I voted for her like crazy last night.
