If you needed further proof that Chuck‘s Yvonne Strahovski is TV’s coolest Aussie/Polish actress, look no further than this CollegeHumor clip called “Three Pop Stars, One Video” that finds Sarah Walker skewering today’s top pop divas.
Recasting herself as Katy Perry, Ke$ha and Lady Gaga, Strahovski sings about wooing a guy “no matter what manufactured image [he's] into.” Ouch! At least those three divas have millions of dollars to ease the sting of her satire.
The best line has to be Strahovski as Perry prancing around in a cupcake bra on a beach singing, “I love you with my heart everlasting/I love you with boobies whipped-cream-blasting.” Watch the slightly NSFW video here:
As you might expect, you don’t have to stretch too far to lampoon Ke$ha’s drunken party girl personality or Katy Perry’s fondness for explosive breasts. That leaves Strahovski to parody Gaga as “an insane a– robot girl” from the year 3000. Which honestly is probably not a statement Gaga would take umbrage with.
What do you think? Given her voice here, Strahovski might not be much of a singer herself, but that doesn’t mean she couldn’t be a pop star anyway. Which parody rang true for you? And why do you think she left out Britney? All she’d have to do is stand next to a group of professional dancers and sort of bounce around.

I hate Katy Perry’s music, and I think she is annoying as hell. But to say her face is “mediocre” makes me think you are either gay or one of those basement-dwelling, middle-aged comic book fanboys whose only experience with women is the superheroine images they wank up to.
Her face is mediocre, have you not seen the pictures of her with no makeup? Just about anyone of us can look as hot as her if we have a whole stylist team and 10 pounds of makeup on.

Yeahh I watched this earlier today when she tweeted the link. I don’t really like that it was over-the-top inappropriate. They can make a funny parody without all the sex jokes. w/e, just not my type of humor. Still love her though! oh and I agree. Don’t think that that’s her voice.

There’s an easy-to-miss Zooey reference in the beginning Katy Perry bit. The guy she’s trying to win over said his dream girl was “Zooey Deschanel but without the shame or class.” That’s one of my favorite parts, too.

don’t think you can judge her actual singing style by this video, where she was clearly trying to imitate/parody the voices of those targeted. perhaps not the greatest web video ever this week, but still very well done, great to see more of her comedic chops.
