Welcome, DANCMSTRs, to a new PopWatch feature called “The Host’s Leaderboard”! Dancing With the Stars‘ fearless host and leader Tom Bergeron has agreed to call me every Tuesday night to give his “scores” in a few innocuous categories of my choosing. He won’t comment on the dances or who’s going to win, so don’t even ask!

Tom is such a great host – and I love that he’s such a good sport.
Great new feature! Annie, you have the Best. Job. Ever. Tom is great. I love that he has to consciously think about where your hidden gem screen grabs might catch him looking. Ha! That is fantastic. You HAVE to try to get him to do something on purpose in one of the shows for us!! An extra special jaunty kick perhaps, or a secret gesture or word. That would be awesome.

Hope Tom can relax btr in coming shows. Perhaps the Chris B kafuffle had him tense. Ask him to rate the costuming sometime, & there appears to be a battle of the behinds: Hines/Maks/Chris

I started watching the show for the dancing. But Tom makes everything so much better. No other host could make a comeback that has me giggle as much as Tom does. He is the glue that holds it all together!

Annie, do you need an assistant? I would gladly do your bidding just to be around when all this cool stuff happens. Wouldn’t need much to get by, just leave a water bottle and something to much on, I’ll be fine

LOL I love it. I wish Tom was my uncle. He and Tim Gunn have some of the most wonderfully genial-with-a-dash-of-wickedness personalities on TV, the kind of people you totally want to hang out with and who would make you feel good about yourself. At least that’s how I imagine them!
