Tonight the remaining hopefuls will be walking the terrifyingly long plank for two whole hours, so yeah, I hope they break out some moves that I can screengrab and over-analyze later. Work that disco runway, girl. (Give a twirl!)

I agree as well! Hollie had a WAY better week. Miles and Miles ahead of Tatiynisa. She’s the only girl I had a dispute with.
As for the guys, I would have liked to see Jaycee in there – not sure why he didn’t make it. Maybe they figured it was kinder to him to give him another year. Maybe
they are right but I’ll still miss him this year. I was also a big fan of Colton – I actually thought they were going to let all three through.
Jaycee is a sweety with a pretty voice, but came off as 11-13 years old. He’s also stiff and awkward onstage. He’ll be fine. He just needs more experience.
Is it me or do many of the girls sound alike … nothing different. The guys hae a lot of variety.
Snsetblaze, Haley Rinehart sounds very different, LOL.
But seriously, I think we’re going to need to hear MORE SINGING. Maybe we can differentiate between these ladies if we actually hear more than two lines of song!
I do hope that they will use a soft voice sometimes – that’s what made Paul stand out – I love a still small voice better than vocal calisthenics. They all tend to GO FOR IT thinking louder is better but I think voters will need to see differences among the contestants to keep ratings up.

Didn’t even Notice Simon at first. Kind of like how I haven’t even noticed he was gone this season.

Did you really just pick Lauren Alaina and Scott instead of Casey and Paul? ugh, I’m not looking forward to this voting thing especially since text voting and now online voting is going to be happening.
I don’t particularly like any of these contestants (with the exception of Lauren Turner). I picked them based on who I think will resonate most with America based on talent, looks, competitive spirit, fan popularity, screen time.
I could be wrong on some or all of these, but hopefully not by too much; there’s $$ on the line!
PLEASE no Jacob Lusk! His facial contortions while singing are just PAINFUL to watch! I want to HEAR the song, not have your lips to a visual arpeggio.

so ive really tried to like lauren alaina but after just watching her go through i realized why i dont like her. she is sooo up the judge’s butts. i hated how she hugs them before being told she made it. they arent friends, they are judges
The judges are pushing Lauren Alaina because she’s 15. That’s it. That’s the only reason.
They are looking to justify their choice to lower the age limit by having a ‘star’ of 15 years old appear from the show.
Jaycee could have been that Star and Thia also could be.
Yes, but Alaina is country – which is popular nowadays and Nigel claims she’s reminiscient of Kelly Clarkson (I don’t see it).
Thia has the charisma of an ottoman.

Lauren Alaina is a 16 year old ho wanna be. She has poured the ho on way too thick to have a chance in this competition.

And Lauren Alaina def has the fun vibe of Kelly Clarkson. Look at Kelly’s audition as a reminder. Lauren Alaina truly is one in a million, I just hope she doesn’t get too big a head in the process of becoming a star.

Really? I find her a fresh air to the usual histrionics, divas and WGWG (white guy with guitar) that has become the norm. Her performance killed tonight. Hope she does well.
I remember reading a couple of months ago that they were going to pick the best singers,no matter what gender.It didn’t have to be even number of guys and girls.So what happened to that?

Brett? Seriously? “Let’s hold hands”? I thought Colton was going to barf when Brett said that. Then the little inspirational speech afterward? I was really expecting Kumbaya to start up any second. Colton was so clearly superior it was ridiculous. Let’s get real. Brett seems like a nice enough (albeit cloyingly earnest) kid, but he just doesn’t have what it takes to be a successful recording and concert artist. Sorry, Baby.

Well, if you’re talking recording artist, I have no idea how you can make such a silly statement since you’ve never heard a recording of his voice. Every artist nowadays is processed to some degree. Given the same circumstances, this guy might surprise you.
