I understand that Hollywood loves to remake movies with black actors in the title roles, but Annie’s appearance is very much iconic to the whole story. I’m not on board with this one.

I was in elementary school when “Annie” with Eileen Quinn came out in the early 80s. Remaking this, is like the equivalent of remaking “E.T” = it shouldn’t be done. And God no, on Brad Pitt.
Hollywood just needs to shut down right now if they can’t stop remaking movies that shouldn’t be remade, because they can’t come up with any new ideas.
