Image Credit: Andrew MacphersonEverything I hear or see about the upcoming Muppets movie just makes me more excited. Take, for example, this new photo of writer-star Jason Segel grinning with his puppety pals. (And yes, it does appear to be the same scene we first showed you a few months ago.) My heart just exploded.
In these trying times of chaos and violence and filthy January slush all up in my shoes, Kermit and the gang shine like a flickering beacon of hope in the far distance.
Just for good measure, “Somebody’s Getting Married”:
Between this, the staggeringly adorable outfits, and the moved-up release date to Nov. 23, I can hardly stand the wait, PopWatchers. What about you?

I am in LOVE with Jason Segel and I think this is going to be amazing
Me too! Have to rustle up some kids as an excuse to go see the movie.
Who needs kids? The Muppet Show had more sexual innuendo than most sitcoms of the time. The Muppets weren’t a kids thing, but a safe for families thing.
LOL I’m with Justin – my husband and I are in our late twenties and have no kids, but we are totally going to be at that movie, just like we happily went to see Tangled together (and were the only adults in our matinee show without any kids).
I’ve been in love with him since Freaks and Geeks. I’ll watch anything he does. Forgetting Sarah Marshall was great as I’m sure this will be too.
Is he going to expose himself in this movie too? If so, Kermit better shield Miss Piggy, or he’ll have some competition.
Oddly enough, I can’t wait either! I never thought I’d say it, but I’m really anticipating this one.
the muppet movies bring nothing but joy.. such a beautiful part of my childhood and hopefully future generations too.
The world needs more Muppets (no sarcasm here, I mean this!)
Is this a remake of the original? It’s starting to sound like it.
The original was about a cross country road trip during which the characters meet and form a group. This is a reunion movie.
You had me at
Muppets.
As long as my favorite Muppet, The Swedish Chef, is there… Im in
There’s never been a Muppet movie I didn’t enjoy on some level. This sounds great, sign me up.
I also cannot wait for this movie. I love Jason Segel and The Muppets so much. I have total faith in Segel that is will be amazing.
thats one of my favorite muppet songs! i can’t help but sing it anytime someone is getting married!
Oh this is most definitely already planned as our family Thanksgiving movie. We are taking an 8 and 10 year old with us, but we’d go whether they joined us or not! Muppet Christmas Carol is without a doubt my favorite Christmas movie.
Muppet Christmas Carol is mine too. Aside from one of the musical numbers (the really schmaltzy one Scrooge’s GF sings, I think), it’s perfect.
Me too, the Muppets shaped how I few humor as an adult and I really hope that this movie reflects the spirit of the 70′s and 80′s but can be brought up to date. I have a lot of faith in Jason Segal and his love of these characters. I think it is going to be great!
sweet
Yes, more Muppets! If anyone is in the Chicago area–go see the Jim Henson exhibit at the Museum of Science and Industry. It’s fantastic. I’m not sure where (or if) it’s travelling after this, but it’s definitely worth it.
LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the Muppets! Can’t wait! Thanks to Jason for having the guts to bring it to the big screen again! They are like old, long lost friends coming home!
Yes!!! I recently watched Muppets Take Manhattan again, for the first time in years, and I have to say that it still makes me laugh. Love. This is one I will definitely spend money on.
