'TRON: Legacy,' 'Yogi Bear,' 'How Do You Know'? Which will you see? (Box Office poll)

If Reese Witherspoon starred as a young professional lady who gets sucked into a battle to save the digital world while romancing a tie-loving, picnic basket-stealing cartoon bear, you’d probably want to see that movie, right? Well, that will never happen. But you if you see TRON: Legacy, Yogi Bear, and How Do You Know in one marathon moviegoing session this weekend, you might get a feel for what that’d be like. EW’s box office seer John Young thinks TRON will take the weekend by storm, with a total of $45 million, followed by Yogi Bear, the newly-expanded The Fighter, last weekend’s No. 1 The Chronicles of Whatsit: Voyage of the Y’know, and James L. Brooks’ How Do You Know, with the also-expanding Black Swan as a possible spoiler. (People do seem to be all about ballet now.)

But what do we know? PopWatchers, what will you be watching this weekend at the multiplex? Will you be catching TRON in glorious IMAX 3-D? Excited to see some artsier fare expanding to a wide release? Tell us what you’ll be seeing in the poll, and if you feel like it, tell us why in the comments!

Saw Tron: Legacy last night. It was AWESOME! Tonight we’re going to see Black Swan.

‘The Chronicles of Chronicles: Chronicles of the Chronicles Chronicles’

No contest. ‘Tron Legacy’ is what the majority is seeing, including myself. This is gonna be incredible, especially in IMAX 3D.
      3D was made for THIS!

I’ve been waiting for Tron for quite a while. However, I wish there were screens of it in 2D (there aren’t in my area). I can’t see 3D–my brain “fixes” it so even with the glasses I see it flat. I also know of people who get headaches from 3D.

This is the first weekend Black Swan is playing in my area … so there you go. All the other options besides The Fighter look like crap.

Same, Black Swan just opened in my local theater and I am forcing my friends to see it with me!

I saw Black Swan two weeks ago (downtown Toronto here) and will be taking a friend to see it on Sunday. Am more excited to see it the second time than I was the first. I will see The Fighter over Christmas.

Same here. I got MAJORLY faked out on Dec. 3 when it opened. I didn’t realize it was going to be a limited release until the day before. Can’t wait to check it out.

“The Fighter” and “Tron: Legacy” (HAVE to see that one in theatres) are also on my radar.

All of my friend’s last exam is done this Saturday so we are all super excited to go see Black Swan afterwards! Will be seeing The Fighter and How do You Know throughout the holidays too!

  • Andy

Tron was amazing. I already saw it in advance and I can’t wait to see it again this weekend.

I’m planning a movie weekend marathon…Tron (3D), Black Swan, and going back to see Tangled again (just loved this movie, reminds me of the Disney films I grew up with in the 90s).

  • Person

    I’ll Probobly see tangled again

As a Sci-Fi fan, I should probably say Tron, but I have never been fond of the video game type movie. I am going to wait for reviews to come in, before I put my money down to see Tron. My kids haven’t even expressed interest (I know that it why this movie was made, parent recognition of past with kids current video game interest). It really wasn’t a good movie the first time around. I am looking forward to Black Swan and The Fighter. Have been waiting forever for them to open in our local theaters. But I am sure Tron, Yogi Bear and Chronicles will be taking the majority of the movie screens. Love Mark Walberg.

Black Swan is still not playing near me so it’s going to be The Fighter.

  • LOL

Black Swan opens in my city today. The Fighter looks good, too.

  • CW

I ended up seeing Tron: Legacy at a midnight show as a favor to a friend. I found it boring but then I’m not the biggest sci-fi fan and have no real knowledge of the original. I hope to see Black Swan over the weekend and The Fighter some time next week.

  • The Dude

I’ll be seeing TRON with my family once I’m home for the holidays. For this weekend, though, it’s all about Black Swan (which is FINALLY opening up in my area).

  • Jon

I wonder how many people who are geeked up for “TRON” have even seen the original movie or really know anything about it? I’m sure for the most part people only know the various spoofs of it, or its well-known luminous-lined design.

    • Karate Pants

      Or Tron-toe.

  • Dave

I’ll be seeing Tron and Black Swan this weekend. And I’ll see The Fighter sometime during next week.

  • Sammie

I’d like to see How Do You Know. It looks cute. :)
