This week, reports have surfaced that the starlet doesn’t have enough money to pay for her $50,000 stint at the Betty Ford Center. No money, mo problems, I guess. Instead of, you know, just looking for a less expensive rehab facility, Lohan is seeking sponsors to foot the bill.
Enter PETA. Yes. You read that right. The People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals sent a letter to Lohan offering to help pay the $50,000 bill if she will “rid [herself] of one more toxic substance: meat.” So let’s recap: Be famous. Have an addiction. Become a vegan. Go to rehab for free!
I’m going to go out on a limb and say eating meat is the least of LiLo’s “toxic substance” problems. But maybe going vegan is just the thing she needs to successfully complete her treatment.

This is obviously a publicity stunt for PETA. I’m sure they are secretly hoping that she turns them down so in the end they get this type of free press for nothing.
Eating meat on a regular basis raises the risk of colon cancer by 40% and a host of other illnesses. Once you dig into the research, you realize that the meat and dairy industry are pulling a fast one on us.
Anyone who wants to dispel any rumors should take the time to research the issue. You’ll uncover a lot of secrets the big corporations try to hide for the sake of $$$$$. For example: Milk doesn’t create strong bones. It actually drains calcium from our bodies (because of sulfur containing amino acids) at the same rate we consume the dairy.
According to the Humane Society, 1 in 3 cattle are alive, blinking and mooing when they are dismembered and gutted. The companies won’t spend the money to properly stun them. Farm animals have no rights.
Cows and pigs aren’t given water or food up to 5 days before slaughter because it wastes money. Smaller animals aren’t given water or food up to 3 days before slaughter. YAY AMERICA!!!
PETA and Lindsay Lohan…could definitely go the next few years without hearing from either of those. (Lohan needs to go away and STAY away from the limelight until she’s better.)

That would be a lot of money that could be spent on more meaningful pursuits. How would they rationalize that to their donors? Would she be any more successful at this than she has been at kicking drugs? I’m a vegetarian but this makes no sense to me.
The money would be well spent because of all the free press it is receiving and will receive. That is free ads for the “Go Vegan” campaign.
and the very first statement from PETA after she got out would be”Lindsay is clean because she has become vegan” and their next week statement would be”Miss Lohan is under the influence once again because she ate a burger”….Lindsay lohan and PETA are disgusting in their ways to try and promote themselves.

Come on L.L. thought the judge might place her in jail, so on top of that she’s going to request him to approve a less expensive rehab from one where she’s stablizing. Why is your reporting scarcastic? Ah, that’s right. Gets the masses going that don’t think.

This is totally disgusting!!! Lindsay Lohan got herself into this mess time and time again. She had choices, and she made them. The fact that she is looking for someone to foot her bill is also disgusting!! And the fact that PETA has offered!! My husband and I are in our 60′s…He needs bilateral cataract surgery, leg surgery for PAD, and I am losing my vision in my right eye and need bilateral cataract surgery too. My husband works at Walmart…need I say more about benefits. We need someone to foot our medical bills too. Do you think PETA would be interested??? Probably not, we are just the common struggling American!!

Peta, this is a good way to lose contributors. How can you justify spending money on this. The donations are for you to run your company. Not to bail out celebrates. To help with protecting those who have no voice of their own. This girl, who has been in the lime light for years, has friends and family with money, could very easily sponsor her. How can you expect her to commit to a lifelong vegan lifestyle when she can not commit to ending her addictions. This was poorly thought out Ingrid.
