I remember watching this on TV WAAAY back in the early ’70′s. I had nightmares for a week. Thanks Mr. Romero.
Romero started the genre..However with a more intelligent, deeper crowd we have now..he hasnt done a good job with the sequels. Stop making them bud. I like the genre you created man, but its time to give it up. Day, Dawn, city, Diary,Survival were all awful. Leave it up to the non wes craven influenced directors out there
I think it is important that zombies are able to move fast sometimesin order to help the viewer suspend his disbelief that such creatures really could bring down civilization. I love the genre, but it has always bugged me that it seems unlikely that such shambling creatures could take out a military base. I love the walking dead. But how is it possible that a rag tag bunch led by two cops survived ans the us army did not? The fact that zombies can move a little quicker sometimes does help with this.
How dare you Scott. Dawn of the Dead both orginal and remake are one of my favorites zombie movies, right up with with Day, City was one of the scariest. Okay have to agreed on the Land, Survial was pretty was pretty lame.
I am not saying nonsense. This is awesome information. I have already came to similar conclusion. It is a real eye opener and may prompt me to make some serious changes to my current strategies.

@KarlHall The Mist is not made or directed by George Romero but by Frank Darabont.
George Romero has nothing to do with The Mist at all.
has anyone seen Knightriders from George Romero?
its with Ken Foree,Tom Savini and Ed Harris.
its a cult movie now.
i own a copy on video, dont know if it is available on DVD or Blu-Ray.
Actually, the movie IS copyrighted. I have rented this movie and saw that the FBI copyright warning is at the beginning of the movie on DVD and videotape versions. That warning cannot be at the beginning of a public domain work.
Normally I don’t learn article on blogs, however I would like to say that this write-up very forced me to take a look at and do so! Your writing taste has been surprised me. Thank you, quite nice article.
Magnificent issues altogether, you just received a new reader. What might you recommend in regards to your post that you made some days ago? Any sure?
I do consider all the concepts you have presented in your post. They’re really convincing and will definitely work. Still, the posts are too quick for novices. Could you please extend them a bit from subsequent time? Thank you for the post.
