Honestly the internet at times appals me why is that people believe they have the right to be so rude and aggressive in their posts. Do you speak to people like this face to face. It seems to me that we could all learn a lesson from Richard who comes accross as humble modest and sincere but above all polite.
For me I imagine he got the job on his merits Thorin will be multi layered complex character and Richard Armitage will I have no doubt capturethe character perfectly.
This is the RA who ridiculed his fans, and was forced to apologise. Not that it was much of an apology. He called them”weird”, then tried to claim that he`d been misquoted.Hmm, shades of Danny Dyer.He then rounded off his missive to the fansite I looked at, by saying”P.S.I hate the word fan.” Speaks for itself really.You defend the man, but does he defend you lot?

For someone who doesn’t like his fans, why did he take time out from shooting spooks to come over and talk to them and let them take pictures, why does he do the same when he sees them at BAFTRA, His parents brought up a gentleman. Something we see very little of nowadays

There are a certain amount of “weird” folks in probably any fandom. But all of us who actively follow Richard’s career don’t do things like, oh, send him underpants with his own photo on them (seriously, what were they thinking?!) as one “fan” did, nor think we should be able to tell him how to run his career as a few overly possessive supporters have done.
A few long to keep him as Mr. Thornton from N&S forever; many of us, however, simply deeply admire RA for many reasons and wish him all the success he so richly deserves.
I love Richard Armitage and can’t wait to see him on the big screen!!!
I think Richard Armitage is a really good actor and a nice person.

This is terrible. I will never be able to believe he is Thorin. Thorin was the oldest..Not a heart-throb..Jackson sucks..I wish Del Toro had stuck around…
