On Oct. 14, our 44th president will participate in a live, one-hour youth town hall special on MTV called “A Conversation With President Obama.” (The broadcast will air live and commercial-free on MTV, MTVu, BET, Centric, TR3s and CMT at 4 p.m. ET.) Addressing an audience of about 250 young people, the president will answer questions about his first term, his personal views, and his future plans. Viewers at home can even submit queries live via Twitter.
Obama appeared on MTV once before in 2007, when he took part in an MTV/MySpace presidential dialogue. (Of course, he was just Senator Obama back then.)
We’re pretty sure Barack can handle this kind of appearance, no sweat — he’s always been a pro at thinking on his feet. But what kind of questions do you think he’ll face this time? And is he just doing this now to mobilize the youth vote for midterm elections? Let us know in the comments.

Really?! Rambling aimlessly for 13 minutes to answer one question at press conferences? He’s been to all 57 states? This guy can’t get out a complete sentence without stammering his butt off if he doesn’t have a speech someone else wrote for him on a prompter. And what a real tough audience that will be on MTV. I’m sure he’ll get a lot of hard hitting questions on what kind of underwear he wears and who’s on his iPod. I’d like to ask him how he plans on passing his progressive adgenda now that his stimulus has proven to be a failure and the American people (at least the ones who don’t get tingles up their leg when the messiah speaks)are going to reject him in November. You know everything that’s asked will be vetted beforehand, so he doesn’t get embarassed like he did last month by one of his own supporters telling him to his face that she’s tired of having to defend his failures. Gotta try everything since them Dems are drowning right now. What a joke.

Okay, I’m starting to agree with all of the extreme republicans who went to my high school whose facebook statuses are always “The election is over, time to stop campaigning and start running the country”. I DON’T WANT TO AGREE WITH THEM!
I know how important health care reform is, but why didn’t you focus the first half of your term on job creation? In other words, if you put the time and energy you put into the health care bill into job creation, your approval rating would be higher.
The problem is that he thinks the job of the government is to create jobs, not set policy that allows the private sector to create jobs. Government jobs are basically the only sector that has seen job growth since he got into office, and those are all taxpayer funded jobs that add to the deficit! Then he allows Pelosi to adjourn Congress without extending the Bush tax cuts, which will lead to the biggest tax hike in history! When those expire, he will have broken his promise not raise anyone’s taxes under $250,000, because EVERYONE’S taxes will go up! And about raising taxes only on the rich, I want to know how many people out there have ever been employed by a poor person? When you raise taxes on the rich, they stop hiring us little people, they don’t just take the hit. People need to stop buying into his class warfare BS and use some common sense.
How about nothing. It seems like he’s on every day. Stay home with the wife and kids and leave the rest of us alone. I started to say he should actually work for a change instead of going on vacation and making speeches and going on t.v.,except he’s done so much damage to our economy already, I’d rather he go on vacation with the wife and kids and stay there until the 2012 election. Then they can go home.
Someone somewhere made a bunch of money on all those shadey real estate transactions that occured during the last Bush administration. Why hasn’t anyone gone after those crooks?

So many US soldiers have committed suicide or have gone out of their way to get out of the military because of the way they get treated and low pay. How can it be that they are serving our country and risking their lives, and they get a bad lifestyle and treatment? Why doesn’t this change?
