Last night, Justin Timberlake, star of The Social Network (as well as a recent Dave Karger video interview) and EW’s current coverboy, was Jimmy Fallon’s guest. After JT and JF did the interview thing (wherein JF created a semi-awkward moment by telling JT he excelled at playing a “creep” in Social Network), they took to the stage and graced the audience with a history of hip-hop. From the Sugarhill Gang to the Beastie Boys to Snoop Dogg to Jay-Z, they seamlessly rapped their way through three decades’ worth of music. JF held his own just fine, but JT really stood out (doesn’t he always?). Obviously, the guy knows how to rock a mic — and what a master mimic he is! Naturally, the audience ate up the dudes’ act like candy from Annie Barrett’s office. My favorite part? Their bro-hug at the very end.
Check out the videos (below). Should they make this a regular thing? What musical genre should they tackle next? The history of country? The history of punk rock? The history of R&B?

Not really a JT fan but that was really good.
Black Thought Should have been apart of that. He does that in the Roots live show and it’s way better than this.
Is there anything that JT can’t do? The man is just incredible. He also seems a little more relaxed lately – Jessica Biel must be good for him.
In my opinion, he can’t do most things.
Negative Nancy in the building
C’mon he copies Michael Jackson real well.
Yeah, cause Michael Jackson did SNL, comedy, and serious movie roles like the Social Network. Oh yeah he played instruments on stage during his concerts all the time too. Timberlake dosen’t copy MJ nor does he need to. This was hilarious. Fallon and JT should team up more often.
You must be kidding. Half of his dance moves and stage show performance were derived right from Michael and I’m sure if you ask Justin he would tell you thats the truth. People will forget Justin Timberlake over the course of time. Nobody will forget the King
People will forget donknottz in about seven seconds.
I know thats right bort lol. Justin Timberlake is great. So what if some of the moves are from MJ I mean HELLO he was like the 1st real dancer EVERYONE uses those moves and its not like there are many more moves to do. Seriously!
That was awesome! I could watch Justin perform forever,he’s so charismatic.
That was pretty amazing!
I love Jimmy Fallon.
Someone send the first clip to Matthew Morrison STAT!
Has anyone ever seen Matthew Morrison and Justin Timberlake in the same room at the same time? ;-D
They look like a couple of friends having a good time. It’s good to watch.
I agree!
Dude, the Humpty Hump!! That was awesome!
Jimmy Fallon is such a talented and underrated performer AND late-nite host! Go Jimmy!
thinks there may be nothing more fun than watching two great performers having fun with each other. Great job!!
JT and JF are awesome together. Mix in the opportunity to sing/dance and it’s even more incredible. They make you feel like you’re part of the friendship.
they killed it JT and JF great together and so talented
I think Mr. B the Gentleman Rhymer did this better, and first (search Chap-Hop History on YouTube).
Yeah, I posted a link to the video, but apparently that is verboten.
Agreed!
All right that’s IT, I am going to start dvr’ing Jimmy’s show every day. I already do for Letterman, and I keep missing out on all these cool moments. Wish I would’ve recorded this one!!!
It was a great show. Jimmy and Justin were great together. Jimmy has really come into his own over the last year. I find myself lol to him every night now.
the nice thing is, they are entertainers who really do entertain. they create moments. the audience was so having fun!!
That’s EXACTLY what I was thinking. JT is just a great entertainer. You don’t have to be a fan of his music or whatever to simply recognize that he gives 100% to give the audience a good time.
