For the last 60 years or so, Mickey Mouse has mostly existed as the helium-voiced, fully-clothed straight man of the Disneyverse. But life is nothing without gritty reboots. Hence, Disney Epic Mickey, the upcoming Wii videogame that simultaneously returns Mickey to his roots — he’s back in red shorts — while also sending him into an elaborate cartoon meta-dystopia populated by forgotten Disney characters. Besides an intriguingly gonzo premise, Epic Mickey brings with it the cachet of designer Warren Spector (Deus Ex). EW has an exclusive trailer for Mickey, which releases Nov. 30:
Simply because my inner six-year-old is screaming, I'm stoked about Mickey, but I'll be intrigued to see how the "brush" system (you can either create or destroy objects in your path) works out with the Wii's motion control.

I agree, and I LOVE Super Mario Galaxy, but I’ve always kind of disliked Mickey, so I can’t decide whether I want to play this. The visuals are looking really pretty, though…

Geez, I’m falling right into their trap. This will be a great shared Christmas present for my kids. My son wants Halo Reach and my daughter wants Lego Harry Potter, but this is one I know they would agree on.
Sorry Mary but what Platform do your kids have? Halo Reach as everybody knows is only available for XBox whereas the new Epic Mickey will only be developed for Wii

I saw an image of a cyborg or robot Donald in Game Informer a while ago, so they may be represented in some fashion.

I saw an article about it in Nintendo Power late last year, and I decided then that I wanted it. Mickey Mouse is one of my favorite cartoon characters, after all, so a game as awesome-looking as this starring Mickey, well, I guess you could say I’ve beem chomping at the bit since I first heard about it.

Bad Mama, I bought this for my kid for Christmas for purely selfish reasons, and also bought the paintbrush Wiimote made for the game to got with it. I can’t wait to play this
