Fresh off her VMA appearance on Sunday, Lindsay Lohan is now reportedly in talks to host Saturday Night Live this December. An NBC rep for the show had no comment, but personally, I’m all for it. Lohan hosted in 2004, around the release of Mean Girls, and was completely awesome (she also hosted in 2006 — the episode was fine but not as hilarious). Who can forget LiLo’s turn as a busty Hermione in that Harry Potter sketch? And Lindsay also starred in one of my favorite SNL sketches of all time: Debbie Downer goes to Disneyland, in which pretty much everyone involved, including Lindsay and Rachel Dratch, completely lose it. (Watch it below!)
What do you think PopWatchers? Will you watch Lohan on SNL? Or are you hoping she’ll just go away?

Um, no we’re not all for it.
Yeah speak for yourself. I am definitely not part of the “we’re” you are referring to.
I said “we’re not _all_”. That means that there are some people who are not for it (one of them being me). So I didn’t say anything wrong, just a fact.
Oh, and by the way, maybe you should just check the other comments, see if I was wrong.
Get over yourself. LiLo, love her or hate her, has been MUCH better of a SNL host in the past than the terrible athletes and other boring hosts they’ve had recently. Any naysayers should be directed to the, now classic, Debbie Downer sketch.
@LL – the key phrase in your comment is “has been”.
I’m with Radu – she may have been funny in 2004, but she is nothing but A MESS in 2010. She should not be rewarded for her actions – and sorry, it’s WAY too soon to know if her “treatment” has worked.
Radu I don’t even think you understood what you wrote.
With you here. She has long flopped.
agreed. the hermione skit was hysterical, but she’s a far cry from the sober mean girls actress she was back then.
I’ve watched that clip so many times, it always makes me laugh!
that’s my favorite clip!
Mine too!
Just go away.
Easily one of the best skits in SNL history.
No. No. And Hell No.
Dear Tim: please break off that bubble you seem to be living in. That chick you seem to admire and cheer for her comeback, is not worth it. and NO, she will not be welcome back by EVERYONE in this planet.. Please get off this fantasy and come back to the pack, we’ll take care of you buddy… With love, signed REALITY
For most people, going to prison is a bad thing, for LiLo, it got her on the cover of Vanity Fair and now an SNL hosting gig. Ah to be famous.
The reason she was awesome when she hosted in 2004 was because it was 2004.
So true.
Maybe she should wait. Get her life together. People tie her to much to her mischief over the last few years. They don’t take her seriously. And many think the time she spent in jail and rehab was a joke; and should have been longer. She should work on herself before she tries to get her Hollywood career back…
Why am I having so much trouble posting comments over the past couple weeks? Anyone else having issues with this?
Okay, so I was able to post this comment, but not a comment that actually pertained to the article? EW, what gives?
Yeah, I’ve had a few disappear on me in the last few days – super annoying.
I am too. :/
I have been to. Anytime I criticized EW, they seem to disappear. It’s a vendetta. They can dish it out but can’t take it.
I don’t know if that’s true. (Although maybe it IS personal in your case). I’ve posted relatively harmless comments that just don’t show up for whatever reason. Oh wel.
yup. no matter what i write they NEVER seem to appear. guess they don’t like us…
PLEASE. STOP. NO MORE ARTICLES ABOUT THIS DOUCHE
If part of her problem stemmed from being misdiagnosed and place on meds that she shouldn’t have been on, and those brain chemistry altering meds are a large factor into her behavior, then sure she deserves another chance as she may not have been completely at fault for her mental lapses. I do hope that she is off the wrong meds, on any correct ones that she needs, and is moving forward positively with her life.
This just makes SNL look desperate. Aren’t there people with movies/shows/functioning lives to promote that would be better hosts…God, why not give a hosting shot to Jim Parsons, Joel McHale, Charlie Day, Helen Mirren, Leo Dicaprio, Chloe Moretz or ANYBODY else who isn’t a criminally insane media whore. (obviously there are other, probably better, choices, but those are people I think would entertaining/interesting)
Joel McHale!! Great suggestion!!
Agreed! Joel McHale would be PHENOMENAL!!
I was thinking about Leonardo DiCaprio hosting recently and then I realized that I don’t know if I’ve ever really seen him be funny. I’ve seen all of his movies and watched plenty of interviews (though he doesn’t do many). Someone, please, solve this mystery: is Leo DiCaprio funny?
I’d rather see January Jones host again if that tells you anything.
(Shudder)
Well… I wouldn’t go that far…
