After endless rounds of terrible auditions and prolonged canned moments of suspense courtesy of Nick Cannon, we have finally reached the finals of America’s Got Talent. Last night America voted Prince Poppycock, Michael Grimm, Jackie Evancho, and Fighting Gravity into the finals, leaving Michael Grasso, Taylor Matthews, Jeremy Vanschoonhoven, Christina & Ali, Anna & Patryk, and Studio One Young Beast Society behind. There was no judges’ choice this time, so the four advancing acts were clearly the most popular (and arguably the most deserving) acts of the entire competition. Although these performers have been miles ahead of some of the others this season (remember Jimmy Dinh and Mary Ellen?), we are still left with 3 vocalists and 1 dance group. Will America ever be ready for something a little different? Or does true talent trump all, regardless of what you do? Will anyone be disappointed if a singer wins again?
Each act will perform one last time on Tuesday night, followed by the live two-hour results show on Wednesday, where the winner will receive the $1 million prize.

Fighting Gravity or Prince Poppycock all the way!! Either way Michael & Jackie will still get contracts or something once the show is over they are both also very talented and I liked that Michael was so humble about making it to the final 4 he truly was not expecting it but deserves it but in the end as far as an overall entertainer Prince Poppycock is my choice and Fighting Gravity comes in a close second

I’m glad someone else knows. Fighting Gravity is the biggest rip-off act ever on this show. Stop saying they’re “original.” They copied the marionette choreography from Extreme Crew — a b-boy group from Korea. The black light act is completely stolen from the Black Light Theatre group.
Fighting gravity rocks and they are completly original because…
1. extrme crew cant touch fighting gravity and if you compare the 2 extreme crew suck.
2. extreme crew does acrobatics and fighting gravity shows the illusion that they can float.(completly different)
3. if you dont think fighting gravity is one of the best, no the best original creative act you dont know talent.
Fighting gravity is boring at best. Every week it is the same thing, just different props. I would not pay to watch them for an hour in Las Vegas or anywhere else.

Ok, so if Fighting Gravity isn’t original then what about singers? I’m pretty sure Jackie or Michael Grimm (although I have to admit they are both pretty good) didn’t invent singing. Jeremy Vanschoonhoven sure didn’t invent BMX tricks. Magic has been around for years and no one said anything about Michael Grasso about being original. Basically what I’m trying to say is that everything is modeled after something else whether you want to believe it or not.

No one will hire Fighting Gravity to perform because they can hire real gymnasts and real artists to perform blacklight. FG would have to hire someone real expensive to help them with their artistry which is sorely missing in their act. You Tube is full of videos of this kind of act — all of them way more spectacular than FG’s act. A win by FG would be embarrassing for America.
Well, you should probably know that Vegas hotel Planet Hollywod has already hired Fighting Gravity. I believe contracts are even signed. Guess you were wrong, Bill.

Poppycock should definitely win! No one else puts more on to the stage than him. FG they aren’t even graceful, and I think the act would be better done with actual dancers. Michael Grimm so he changes his shirt for every show, he isn’t great, just average… got to Chicago or New Orleans if you want to hear real soul and blues. Jackie, she just wants a pony, and shouldn’t even be in this competition, I think adding the You Tube contestants last minute was a bogus slap in the face to the other contestants.

Michael Grimm is truly is a voice of America. He came from humble beginnings, lost his parents, lost his Family home to Hurricane Katrina. He turned to music and made something of himself. He was able to persevere over tragedy and loss and now he wants to win this contest to give something back to the… Grandparents that raised him.
He is the embodiment of the American Promise that anyone who works hard can succeed in this Country.

Fighting Gravity is not a dance act. They are incredibly ingenious young engineering students who perform feats of wonder all through engineerings. they are remarkable and the next Blue Man Group to hit the Strip! The three singers will also likely to receive lucrative contracts and engagements, especially Prince Poppycock. He’s my second choice for first….he is truly one of the most unique singers ever. He is a modern day Liberachi and is terrific.

Grimm already has a recording contract, check for his website. Grimm is not a great singer, he is what you find in any good blues bar in any big city. He is just average… he is no Stevie Ray Vaughn.

Grasso and Jeremy are probably better off now. Their acts are Vegas acts and can now sign with any Casino there. But they should have been in the finals.

I am really concerned about the possibility that Jackie might actually win the competition. She is a child and regardless of her voice should be protected rather than treated as a freak show. I hope America will do the right thing voting P.Poppycock, Michael, or Fighting Gravity the winner. Please America – give Jackie a few more years of enjoying childhood and time to grow up and mature. I hope her parents go that way too rather than have an eye on the money.

That little girl, 10 years old — what on earth is her voice going to sound like at 12? At 15? At 19? That instrument won’t change, as with a boy’s … barring some awful injury, that voice will only mature, grow richer, develop in now unimaginable texture and complexity.
That controlled tremulo at 10? It is one of the single most remarkable phenomena I have ever heard.

@Indiana – I totally agree with you and no matter how much I am amazed by her beautiful voice, I really think it is too early to give her that exposure. Popularity and celebrity status is not what you should always wish for your child. Let her have a childhood first she will make her way eventually and become an opera star.

It really is tough to say which will win. I am leaning towards Prince Poppycock though. He has an amazing stage presence and a glamorous and glitzy style of showmanship. Jackie Evancho is probably the most amazing talent I have seen, but I don’t know how much of a “show” she can put on. That said, she is SOOO amzing to listen to and watch. Micheal Grimm is probably gonna be the next Micheal Bolton whether he wins here or not. And Fighting Gravity has amazing creativity! They have received very good press so I believe they will be able to pull of a show of their own even if they don’t win, should they choose to do so.

Prince Poppycock is very talented and entertaining, but he is not the popular vote. Jackie has had the highest votes every week and even her youtube viewings are off the chart. Amazon has sold out of her albums. Prince Poppycock should be in a broadway musical. He would be a huge hit there.

Also, America has chosen some kind of singer for the past four years. Britain has chosen singers, dancers, gymnasts. It’s time for a change on AGT.

Are FG doing Vegas? I musta missed that. None of these acts is guaranteed a vegas act. They will only be part of a tour that has a stop in Vegas, and so FG will be able to showcase their talent in Vegas, but it’s still a long way from some casino hiring them to appear on an extended run.

The problem in America is the level of talent most years is high. Variety acts win in Europe because the level of talent isn’t consistantly high across all acts.

I have listened to her videos and compared them to other famous child singers and she is by far the best. In fact she is better than some professionals. She should not be punished because she is only 10. The other acts put on good shows but none of the others are as talented as she is. This is a talent contest and she is the superior talent.
Personally I don’t want to watch someone sing. She is incredible I agree, but personally singing bores the hell out of me. And she needs to enjoy her childhood more and not become a star at age 10. She’s gonna miss her lack of a childhood later in her life.

I must butt in………Jackie has an absolutely beautiful voice but not the years to sing those arias and Requiem {Sarah Brightman}……the emotion was missing, especially in Oh My Beloved Papa. I think she is too young to sustain a singing career, it will burn her out, better to wait at least until her teens …I thought the whole idea of AGT was for the winner to have their own LV show…..am I missing something??

Just because child can sing doesn’t mean they will destroy thier voice, or burn out. Christina Agulara and Britney spears have been singing since they were in grade school, and on the mickey mouse club. So did Justin timberlake. Their voices are not destroyed. A properly trained singing voice does just the opposite. Singing is from the diaphram, not the lungs, so there is no strain on the vocal cords. Jackie is a rare talent, a prodegy that only comes along once in a great while.

The most talented on the show are Prince Poppycock and Michael Grimm. Sorry to say Fighting Gravity is just a poor attempt to wow us. Only the uncultured got wowed by them. Jackie Evancho is overrated and the biggest hyped act of all time. Shouldn’t she be in school right now? And shouldn’t she be in bed at that hour of the competition? She got in easy, having to perform only 3 times compared to the others, who have had to prepare 5 acts. Totally unfair to the other better contestants.

I think the top four are well deserved, but either Poppycock or Fighting Gravity would be the biggest Vegas draw. My fave was ousted in the semis, Antonio Restivo.
Antonio blew it with the excessive arm flourishes signifying NOTHING and setting fire to everything. It was LAME.

Personally I like Fighting Gravity just because they’re something completely different from the usual winner of this show (a singer), but I would be ok with Poppycock winning because he is so unique and different, and really does have a good voice.
Michael Grimm is the best straight-up singer with a great soulful voice, but I see him making a career of packing out club venues, not playing in Vegas.
I wish for one set of comments and only one set of comments that idiots could get off the “She does not deserve to win” bandwagon. Any contestant who entered deserves to win if the rules are followed and they have the talent. What if I said the Prince does not deserve it because he has already performed in L.A. at numerous nightclubs and he has a career set for him or if the Gravity Boys don’t deserve it because all they have is a visual gimmick and totally lack talent? This show isn’t called ‘Americans Who Have Need’, it’s called ‘America’s Got Talent’. The Salvation Army is right next door — any of these who have need can go over there.
I wouldn’t say there are three singers and one dance group – Prince Poppycock isn’t just a singer, he’s an entertainer – as Sharon said, he’s an artist in every sense – set design, costumes, arrangements, makeup, choreography, and yes, singing.
I was hoping Jeremy slipped into the Final 4, he is amazing at what he does and watching his act was a breath of fresh air (along with Fighting Gravity) to a show thats become the summer American Idol. Heres hoping Fighting Gravity wins!

I would be happy to see any of the acts win except Jackie. She’s a very talented little girl, but not exactly Vegas material.
Any act will be part of a Vegas show supported by other AGT top ten acts. The focus will be on the winner. To say that Jackie is less somehow than the others is just stupid. This is a limited run show because of the AGT tour so it isn’t going to be a long running show. Any of the last four acts can handle Vegas including Jackie. Jackie is much more than just a Vegas act.

She’s an adorable young girl, but she’s very young – as mentioned, she looks tired. She’s handling it, but it’s taking a toll on her. She should wait in a few years to get a show. Prince Poppycock sings opera and others. His makeup, outfits, presentation, etcera are quite Vegas and more. Fighting Gravity – how often do you see an act like theirs? Not often, and that’s what’s going to get them a show. Just like the other acts, they are very dedicated and they’ve had to give things up to pursue their dream.
Neither was Kevin skinner or Neil E. Boyd. But they were the underdogs, and America voted them in.
Jackie just stands there and sings what others have sung before. I doubt if she even understands what she is singing. She has no originality and there’s absolutely no innovation. She’s plain boring.
I was also hoping for Jeremy to make it into the final 4, but am not surprised he didn’t. I’m sorry, but I find the 10 year old opera singer a little creepy. It makes me think ever so slightly of a circus side show whenever I hear her – come see the bearded lady! hear the girl with the woman’s voice! And I’m not hating on a 10-year-old.
