Brokeback Mountain co-stars Jake Gyllenhaal and Anne Hathaway are reunited in Love & Other Drugs (due to release in November), and as far as I can tell from this new trailer, it’s going to be the first romantic comedy to deal with pharmaceutical sales — not something that would immediately scream out for the big-screen treatment (Viagra doesn’t strike me as inherently romantic). But Gyllenhaal and Hathaway are so likable (and apparently in various states of undress for much of the film) that it looks cute and fun. Watch the full trailer below…

I’d see the film for the cast even though I hate the director Edward Zwick.

There are several, but I definitely caught Neon Trees “Animal” in there – it’s also in a Vegas tourism ad.
I heard “Just Like Heaven” by The Cure. It’s the base heavy song that is playing when he tells her she has beautiful eyes.
Apparently there are a few songs associated with the trailer. The one playing in my area is by One Republic called Secrets.

This looks so good! It’s amazing what two capable actors can do for a romantic comedy. This movie seems pretty formulaic & predictable, but Hathaway and Gyllenhal still look like believable characters with tons of charm and chemistry. It’s especially nice to see Gyllenhal be playful. I think they make for a terrific pair.
Is it weird that I find Anne Hathaway’s hair oddly hypnotizing in this trailer?

This is more a dramedy than a Romantic Comedy. Like Sweet November crossed with Love Story or something. Regardless it looks fabulous. Chemistry is great between them and she seems radiant in the role. It is a bit cliche – man finds girl who breaks down his walls/man finds girl who is his match, falls in love, she’s dying, life changed yada yada. this time its’ the actors and chemistry that have me hooked.
What was the last song in the trailer? I know I have heard it before but can’t place it.
