The ancient and elusive “goblin shark” is a popular search term this morning. I’ll admit the creature looks interestingly alien when its mouth protrudes underneath its exceptionally long snout to bite a diver’s wetsuit in the video below, but the narrator of this longer clip clearly says, “The small teeth don’t hurt the diver at all.” Well, what fun is that? If I had to choose between the Science Channel’s Quest for the Goblin Shark or Discovery’s Ultimate Air Jaws, I’ll choose the latter every time. Nothing tops the image of a Great White flying out of the water in super slow motion. It just doesn’t. How many times have you gotten sucked into Ultimate Air Jaws during Shark Week 2010? (If you missed it, it repeats Saturday night at 8 p.m. and 11 p.m. ET. Watch a clip below.)

Wow… that was creepy…
Pretty soon Great Whites will evolve to be able to walk on land.
“but the narrator of this longer clip clearly says, “The small teeth don’t hurt the diver at all.”
….easy for the narrator to say.
Did anyone else see the title “Goblin Shark” and immediately think “SciFi Channel movie?”
Uh…YEAH.
yeah i did to
great white is scary but the goblin is more nightmarsh and creepy. i always feel bad that the great white gets a bad rep when you are more likily to ket to get killed or bit by a bull shark( hoe scary is it that they can also go into fresh water not just salt water) or tiger shark.
Dynomite!!!!
