My affection for Sela Ward knows no bounds: I am the only House fan who loved Stacy, and Once and Again is one of the last great family dramas. Do I even need to say Sisters? You guys: Sisters. (Maybe now the DVDs could finally come out, please lord, amen.)
But now that we know she’s headed back to television, I can’t help but dream about all the other shows I’d like to see her pop up in. As as, oh, a fascinating medical ethicist on Grey’s Anatomy (yeah, that finale sucked me back in). Or as Alicia’s BFF (or rival????) on The Good Wife. Or as a temptress for Peter Krause’s character on Parenthood; no matter how hard I try, I just can’t get excited about Monica Potter on that show. A love interest for Grayson on Cougartown? (Come on, you know it can’t be totally smooth sailing for him and Jules, can it?) A terrifyingly mean professor on Community? Instead, she’s going to be examining semen under a blacklight and over-explaining procedures to rookies so the audience doesn’t have to think too hard. Sigh.
Still, though, the return of Teddy is A+ is my book. What about you, PopWatchers?
I LOVE Sela Ward! Once & Again was an amaaazing show, and I DID like Stacy in House (and I’m a Huddy fan!). Can’t wait to see her back on TV.
glad Sela is back on tv. CSI shows are popular, but probably not going to win her Emmy #3. Still, will be nice to see her again.

I would mind! And i love Sela & Teri.
Stacy was the only woman that could stand her own ground in front of House, and was in all respects an equal match for him. My husband and I LOVED her character in House! All other female interests pale in comparison – and I do like Cuddy.

Happy she’s coming back to tv but if its on a CSI I will probably miss it. Now, is her character was to return to “House” that would be a different matter!
Love love loved Teddy–especially with Clooney. Could never understand the aversion to her character on House. But, and I’m having a senior moment here, what show introduced her? Didn’t it involve her wearing a gorgeous red dress? Night Court??? Or no?

@ Yolanda, it’s not Sela’s fault that Melina chose to leave CSI. While I have always liked Melina, Sela is a talented actress, accepting a role that was offered to her. Although I also love Margaret’s ideas for Sela (esp. Grey’s and Parenthood!), and second her hopes for Sister’s to finally come out on DVD!!!
Monica Potter is fantastic in Parenthood!!! Can’t BELIEVE you don’t like her. Parenthood is absolutley wonderful, by the way.
Peter Krause’s love interests are never liked – no liked his wife on Dirty Sexy Money either!
Potter is a mediocre actress and she has no chemistry with Peter. Peter has more sexual chemistry with his sister Lauren Graham than his own tv wife.
Really glad to see Melina leaving the show. She was often the reason I didn’t catch an episode.Sela Ward is lovely looking and also a much better actress. Ward and Sinise would be an excellent pairing.Melina left when CBS wouldn’t pay her what she thought she was worth. She’s the primary reason Providence drew such poor ratings and was cancelled, and also the main reason [other then the Danny - Lindsay bubblegum scenarios] that CSI: NY has lagged. This show has needed a very good looking woman figure. Melina tried with the low cut tops and such things, but she just couldn’t achieve a sexy look. No problem with Sela Ward living up to that part and she’s a much stronger actress whom can assume most any role well. Sela Ward replacing Melina is the best thing to happen to this show in a long time. Gary Sinise is the star of the show, he’s still there, better looking then ever, and the show will be even better now.

I second that! Once and Again was one of the best shows on t.v. Too bad it never got the attention it deserved. Sela Ward is an excellent actress and more importantly, a classy lady. So glad to see her back on t.v. where she belongs. Sadly though, I’m not a fan of CSI. Wish she was doing another show.
