Or maybe the black stuff is a shield with which she can keep Angelo’s honey-tinged baby food away from her newborn or fend off physical advances from Alex in heat during his “Make Baby, Not Food” crusade, though if that were the case the shield should really be lower.

A turtle was my first thought! Then I thought it might be part of an elephants leg. Or maybe she’s trying out for a new Gladiator-type movie.

And ps…something that has been getting on my nerves lately is when Padma says, “Hands up utensils down” which seems, to me, to be in reverse order. Honestly, do we really want chefs throwing their hands up in the air and then dropping utensils from that height? lol Just sayin…
Kat76- Too funny!! I actually thought the same thing when I watched the show. Surely she or someone on staff have realized how dangerous it could be if they ACTUALLY followed her orders. Thanks for the enlightenment.

Am I the only one that’s had a problem with Padma’s wardrobe for a while? She’s a beautiful woman, but they keep putting her in increasingly strange, TIGHT outfits. They need a wrdrobe intervention!
Looks like part of a fireplace to me. I think TC has no budget, so she is just wearing what she is given. Project Runway needs to have a fashion challenge to get this gal some cool frocks again. The show used to be nearly as much about her attire as it was the food and challenges. Lately, not so much!
