The young woman, somehow only 28 years old despite those seemingly endless years of drama and misery, is inside August’s Cosmopolitan magazine sounding like a reasonable mother with her kids’ best interests at heart. (On the cover, she’s wearing a black zippered bustier top and jeans that lack a good couple of inches of needed waistline material. Well, you can take the girl out of the oversexualized 1990s music videos but you can’t take the music videos out of the girl.) When asked how she would respond if her two young boys — red and round-cheeked Sean Preston and Jayden James, 4 and 3 — ever expressed a desire to follow their Mama’s calloused feet into showbiz, Spears was refreshingly blunt in her answer. “I’d lock them in their rooms until they turned 30,” she said.
Now doesn’t that just strike you as the best possible thing any beleaguered pop star/movie star/reality TV star could ever say about their unselfish hopes for their bright and shiny children? Can you imagine if years ago, when things started sliding South, Dina Lohan had just decided this Hollywood town was too toxic for her vulnerable child and that what was needed instead was three solid meals, a day at home, an algebra tutor, plenty of good books on her daughter’s night stand, and, oh I don’t know, a part-time job that demanded you show up on time and were polite and respectful to customers? I’m not saying young kids born for the stage should be denied the thrill of their craft and the quest for connection with an audience. But for the love of… those are future artists. Those aren’t hopeful famous or infamous people! And here Britney is, talking about taking her boys to their karate classes. Do your thing, Britney.

Ok-I think Britney Spears is a fun and interesting girl. But Siobhan Magnus is much more fun than Britney. If Britney Spears is this famous, then Siobhan needs to get more famous too. She deserves it more than Britney. Just saying. Siobhan Magnus was a contestant on this years American Idol. She made it to the top six. If you want to here a very good summer song for this month, then go on youtube and check out Siobhan Magnus singing the song “Summertime” on the Wendy Williams show. This is a wonderful song. The song “Summertime” is one of the most covered songs in history, with over 2000 official recordings by the most epic singers. Janis Joplin, Frank Sinatra, Ella Fitzgerald, Siobhan Magnus, and many more. Siobhan did a very beautiful job at singing this song. I completely lit up when hearing her sing it. She shined so much. Classic and incredible moment! I hope she gets a recording contract soon. She deserves that so much. Also-go to http://www.songfacts.com and click on the song “Summertime”. Awesome web page. The song was also used in the folk opera musical “Porgy & Bess”. First it was a 1924 novel and then they ended up making it a great play. “Summertime” was the most famous song from the musical and appears 4 times in the production. Very epic song! You would think Cosmo could afford a better photo editor! Her cover picture reminds of those paper dolls I used to play with when I was a kid.

That’s a bad picture…Britney Spears usually looks beautiful, even during that Sam Lufti thing. The reason I always rooted for Britney is because I honestly like her. When Jessica Simpson cried about how no one took her talent seriously I rolled my eyes. Britney, however, is actually a talented performer. Is she Barbra Streisand? Of course not. Still, I have one of her CDs…it’s right under a Big Star CD, which my husband finds incredibly sad. But sometimes I just feel like blasting Womanizer. Sue me.
Just look at her neck! Britney’s neck (or whomever’s it is), appears to be at least 6″ long! Who takes responsibility for this God awful photo?
