The Hills may have its own Canadian VJ-hosted after-show, but the real after-show party seems to be with Andy Cohen on Bravo’s Watch What Happens Live. On the show, the network’s poster boy brings on guests – like kooky Bravo characters and his own friends (stars like Sarah Jessica Parker) – to drink, take calls from viewers, and raise a glass to Cohen’s “Mazel of the Week,” a bold-faced name who’s earned a good place in the hearts of Cohen and viewers. (Think: Sandra Bullock, the most recent recipient.)
If you watch the show, you know that there isn’t anything particularly exceptional about it. In fact, it has that Wayne’s World-y public access feel to it. Yet somehow, I’m oddly fascinated. Perhaps it’s the awkward pairing of guests (i.e. Modern Family‘s Jesse Tyler Ferguson with Real Housewives of New York‘s Bethenny Frankel) or Cohen’s loosey goosey attitude, but something is working for me.
Not familiar with the show? Check out the clip after the jump to see Cohen chat with Frankel and a teen caller who happens to be a Real Housewives fanatic. It’s one hot mess — and I love it!
Am I alone here or does anyone else feel the need to tune in to Cohen’s chatter?

I love how Andy always has a big grin on his face! I love this show, I’m glad it’s on Monday and Thursday this week!
Andy is adorable! He seems to have the happiest personality.
RAMOTIONAL!
I LOVE this show!! I was watching it last night thinking, “I wonder if anybody else is as hooked on this show as I am?” Now I know there are at least two of us! Watching Andy be so uncomfortable with Grandma Wrinkles on his lap last night had me laughing for quite a while!
I love Love LOVE this show! Andy is hilarious. I drink along with him and his guests. It’s totally like that episode of Seineld where Kramer found the Michael Douglas show set in the trash and turned his apartment into a talk show. Needs to be an HOUR!
Speaking of Seinfeld, did you see the WWHL episode with Jerry a couple weeks ago? Needless to say it was freakin hilarious!
I saw it, it was great! When he did the quiz where Andy was showing him clips of the housewives and asking him if it was appropriate and Jerry looks puzzled and exclaims “No! None of it is appropriate!” LOL
the ep with Seinfeld was my least favorite! It always works best when the guest is “in” on the joke…
I love this show! I loved when Kelly Ripa was on and they played a drinking game (which I then played as well). Remember when LuAnn performed her spoken-word thing on it? God, that was terrible.
I think I’m going to have to skip the next episode…I don’t want to see Danielle sing.
What’s the name of that kid who’s always calling? He’s totally the Jacob to Andy’s Mother.
I don’t watch any of the Housewives but I still love the show!!! Andy is the cutest.
Agreed . . . I’m loving this after show more than some of the actual shows
Love, Love “Watch What Happens Live” it is funny and entertaining. I don’t know how Bravo Andy refrains from throwing the crazy housewives (Danielle, Kelly) under the bus, but he is very fair and picks on everyone equally. Also, he is adorable.
I love this show. I keep watching the clips on bravotv.com over and over. The best is when Andy gets a little tipsy talking to callers who are a little tipsy too. If you are a fan of the show, make sure you watch the aftershow on bravotv.com!
Last night Andy was hilarious. Dina from New Jersey brought her cat Mrs Granny Whiskers, I think that is her name. Andy nearly freaked out, he had the cat sitting in his lap. Too funny. The cat is cute but Andy freaked cause the cat has no hair.. Andy is the best, love this show!
The Hills Aftershow is the best part of the Hills! It’s amazing! I was on it two weeks ago.
Turtle Time
it was great when andy had the countess and sonja on…andy kept singing “money can’t buy you class” and sonja would pipe in “my friends!” it was great.
I love the show – especially last night when he was terrified/intrigued by Grandma Wrinkles! He is SO funny to watch – and the zaniness only gets more amped as the show goes on because of the adult beverages he’s sipping on the whole show…
And I LOVE the 13-year old who called in while Bethenny was on – he wanted to set up a playdate with Bryn and his little sister…it was the cutest!
Once I realized Andy wasn’t going to give the “wives” a total pass and fall all over them, he had me hooked.
