The new trailer for Takers makes it look like a younger, grittier Ocean’s Eleven with the teensiest touch of Point Break. A group of bank robbers — led by the impeccably-dressed Idris Elba and including the bat-wielding duo Hayden Christensen and Paul Walker, the jump-y Chris Brown, and the lovestruck Michael Ealy — take on a big score with Tip “T.I.” Harris, even though they’re not sure if they can trust him. The cops (Matt Dillon and Jay Hernandez) may finally catch ‘em. Any guesses on who won’t make it out of this film alive? Someone’s got to die, right? Watch the trailer below.

I’ve been wanting see this movie for a while. Hate it has been pushed back. Kind of wish Chris Brown wasn’t in it.
That’s okay. Wasn’t that Chris Brown who would have had his legs broken when he jumped from the parking deck down onto the parked car at the end of the trailer? At that distance, there’s no way any dude would realistically get up and just walk away from that. Of course why am I not holding my breath that this movie will then show the guy screaming in agony, broken legs stuck through the windshield?
I’m with you, seems like I can’t wait until August 27th but I suppose it will come soon enough…finally! Can’t wait to see it, my friend in Louisiana saw it at a special screening and raved about it..the crowd was really “into” it!

Yay!! for this movie. I wouldn’t miss it for anything. I love Idris Elba, I love T.I., I love Michael Ealy, I kind of like Paul Walker, and I love Chris Brown. And Matt Dillon is pretty cool too. Oh and Zoe Saldana, let’s not forget, and she’s gorgeous. Yes. This movie is being made just for me.

Everyone who thinks this came out a while ago, you are thinking of “Armored” w/ Matt Dillon where he was an armored truck driver gone bad. I had the same thought when I first saw who was in it. Never saw ‘Armored’, will probably see this
